This is in a great location with easy access to whatever you want to see in the TN Smokies. Check-in went smoothly and owners are responsive.
As other reviews note it is not perfectly clean, with dusty corners. But beds and linens were clean. The view is great (we saw a bear and its cub!). It is loudish outside as motorcycles and trucks come up or down the hill. Nevertheless I would stay there again.
The cabin was very nice and accurately depicted in the photos. We say a mama bear and 3 cubs on our first day which was very cool and all amenities worked nicely. The noise kinda dampens the view a bit as you are by a main road with constant motorcycles and such revving which can be annoying. Couple of dead bugs here and there in the cabin but that much is to be expected. The downstairs golf master game didn’t work but the game table did so we were fine without it, plus that’s not really what you come for anyway. Host was very friendly and would check in if anything was needed.
The cabin was all that we expected. Beautiful view, private, plenty of space. Close to park and shops, but far enough away from all the hustle and bustle. Saw a mother bear and her two cubs on our first morning, walked right past the deck and across the driveway. Made our day. Already planning on coming back and staying next year.
If you are wanting to see bears during your vacation come here!!! We seen them 8 times!! You will see a momma with 3 cubs and then w males come around. Be aware that mama bear is very protective of her cubs!
Our family enjoyed the cabin as well, its beautiful and the view is amazing! Hot tube is greats as well if sitting in it at night just be aware that the lights do not work.
We will definitely be back next year!
We had a great time during our stay. The home was exactly how it was described in the listing.
Cabin can be a little hard to find at night. We also saw evidence of bear activity, so we were sometimes a little nervous to go outside alone. We also found a scorpion in one of the bathrooms, but the cabin is on a mountain. You should expect some critters. Overall, we had a great stay.
Our cabin had everything we needed for our 4 night stay except for dish soap. There was maybe a squirt left when we arrived. The cabin was beautiful but really could use a deep cleaning. Ceiling fixtures had a thick layer of dust and the cabinet fronts were grimey. A lot of the furniture was dusty and the main windows that look out to the mountains definitely could be cleaned. More seating is needed on the deck to be able to enjoy a dinner with a view and some side tables next the the rockers would be nice. Some general maintenance needed. However, Beds were clean, bathrooms were clean..would definitely stay again for the view!
We come to the Smoky Mountains as often as we can get away and this was one of our absolute favorite cabins! The view is amazing, and the cabin is perfect.
Great location close to everything but away from the busy-ness
The stay was great for what we were looking for: to be close to many things but away from the crowd. This cabin was located perfect for that and served our family well. We had an AC issue and that was taken care of the same day (which we were thankful for with the heat/humidity). The only improvement I would highlight is to have stocked some of what I’d consider standard essentials like dish soap and a cork screw to go along with the wine glasses. We encountered some dishes that were not clean so we ran everything we used through the dishwasher and that solved that. Other reviewer(s) commented on the cabin could use a good cleaning and I could appreciate that.
We traveled to the area for me and my sisters birthdays. That cabin was in the perfect location. Only about 20 minutes from pigeon forge and 30 to Gatlinburg. The view from the cabin was spectacular and we were pleasantly surprised with the amount of little restaurants and shops very close to the cabin. We actually spent a whole day of our trip visiting those ma and pap shops. That cabin had everything we needed for our stay. We even had a few pleasant encounters with some raccoons and a mama bear and her cubs (from a safe distance, of course). Overall it was a great stay.
My wife and I stayed with our small dog for a weekend. The cabin was as advertised and was stocked with more than we needed. we didn't use the lowest level but a second couple or kids would love it. Same for the upper level. The cabin overall was nice other than I think it set for a few days after cleaning because there was a layer of dust on things that we just wiped off the table and counters and got on with our weekend. I liked that the parking area was paved and flat with room for at least three cars or trucks. Also liked the grill area out back off the main level as it is a private mountain side little area that we liked. I would love to bring our family or friends to this cabin. The short drive to Cades Cove was nice. We lost count of how many bears we saw but it was over 15 in abought 5 or 6 locations. The drive to either Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg was abought 25 minutes with a lot of things along the way to see or to shop or to stop and eat.
Comfortably slept our family. Close to everything without being in the chaos of either town. Bring your own pillows, these weren’t comfortable. The only complaint would be the Golden Tee machine tv wasn’t working. Messaged on our first day, but never got resolved. We didn’t go there to play video games, so not a big deal. Kids were slightly bummed. Would definitely come back though. Driveways are steep! Be prepared!
The property was gorgeous! Plenty of room for everyone. We had 10 all together. The only thing that we really didn't like, but was obviously not the owners fault at all, was the steep drive to get to the cabin. Coming from flat lands, that was a tad terrifying. Hahaha!
Other than that, it was a great stay. Very quiet and relaxing.
We absolutely loved this place! The views were great. It was such a nice getaway. The only thing is if someone had cleaned it right before we came there wouldn’t have been several dead ladybugs in the bathtub up stairs and the outhouse bathroom had spiderwebs all over . But other than that everything else was great!
The stay was great, but customers should be advised the pool is off-site so you'll be driving to it. We didn't have any trash pick up. It piled up because of no where to put it. We also had a very friendly young bear that had no problem walking around the 2 decks and opening the hot tub and getting a drink. You want to keep your head on a swivel. But overall it was awesome.
