This place was amazing. The location was perfect for us. It was close enough to Windrock so we could ride right to the trails or take the trailer to the main parking lot. It was exactly what we expected.
Great place to stay, so relaxing we just enjoyed laying around and resting. Not far from 26 & 27 so it’s real convenient for riding Windrock… would definitely stay here again in the future
A fun weekend riding SXS with relaxing evenings and nights at the cabin. Always love the outdoor fire pit and swings. One of the most beautiful places we’ve ever stayed; definitely our top choice for what the cabin offers as well as proximity to friends and fun!
Thank you so much for your wonderful home. We absolutely loved our stay. We normally stay in the Windrock campground and will forever come here now. Best of both worlds great cabin and the grounds feel like your own private campground with huge firepit. It was very close to trail 26 and 27 right up the road no trailering. The house is very cute, well kept and the property is amazing. My daughter is a horse lover and rider and was in heaven waking up everyday seeing them in the pasture!!
We came to stay for a concert at Brushy Mountain. The home was so cute, comfortable, clean and exactly as listed. We stayed on the porch the majority of our time there because it was so nice outside and the surrounding is beautiful. It is 7 minutes from the prison and even with all of the construction, we were able to get to the concert in less than 20 minutes and after the show was over it was so nice to be so close. We are already talking about booking another stay!
very secluded and quiet little place. Clean and tidy, lots of room outside with porch, sitting area, fire pit, volleyball court, lots of room to park and unload trailer. was wonderful and we loved it. thank you
We had the best time here. Great wooded gett away and aslo beautiful open horse pastures with amazing mountain views. Secluded yet not too far from restaurants and stores. More than enough parking for larger vehicles and campers.
We came to Oliver springs to ride windrock. This cabin was perfect for our family of 4. Short ride to trails 26/27. Joe was kind enough to take us to a sweet view over the mountains. Beautiful views all around.
The house was nicer than we expected. The property was expansive, beautiful, and serene. I think one couple is enough for the house, but you could host a group on this property. We enjoyed the proximity to Windrock as off-roading was a goal. We kept trying to put aside time to hang on the property!
Booked a stay at this property with my girlfriend and we had a great time! The house had everything we needed and the outdoor area was beautiful. We loved waking up to the horses outside and the view of the mountains. The large fire area with plenty of seating was great too. The property is a very short drive from frozen head state park, which was the main reason for our visit. Our favorite part was how private and secluded the whole area was.
Had a very nice stay in this cute cabin secluded in the woods. Rained on us, didn’t get a chance to enjoy the awesome fire pit. But did enjoy Windrock. Close to trails, and local eats/drinks. Morning walks gave us a chance to pet the horses, they were great. Really enjoyed our stay, will plan another stay. Thanks for sharing your vacation home.
After looking around at several short term rental properties in the area this is the one that got my attention.. Wow!!..It did not disappoint!! As soon as I arrived I could not believe the views!! The cabin is secluded, but right outside of the woods are big open fields with horses roaming inside the fences.. They even get close enough to pet and feed.. Also, on the first day there we got to see paragliding from the nearby mountain that surrounds the property.. It's about 3100 ft up and several people jumped off and floated all the way down to the field to where the horses were.. Awesome to see in person!.. I got in contact with the property owner about their rzr rentals and we had a blast on them riding through the mountains.. We did Windrock, Gobey, and Nemo before coming back.. It was well worth the money spent and was priced very competitive to any where else you can rent RZRs... The property owner also was kind enough to take us up to the lookout where the paragliding was going on and we got to see the most spectacular views that were very close by to the cabin.. The cabin is perfect for up to 4 people to stay in and has plenty of room to have people over to the firepit outside for drinks & cornhole etc... If you are traveling with your trailer and rzr it has plenty of parking to easily maneuver around the area... You will not disappointed in the entire experience provided by the property owners!! Well worth the money spent and my girlfirend and I will for sure be back in the future! Thank you so much to Joni & Joe for the great time!
Awesome and Secluded Cabin With Windrock Trail Access
This cabin is conveniently located off Petros Highway, just a few minutes from Petros, a few minutes from the Windrock General Store, and about 15 minutes from Oliver Springs. When you arrive at the cabin, the drive way is private, and is about a mile off the main road. The cabin sits in a well shaded and covered area, and the outside space is AMAZING! The outside area has a large sitting area under the front porch, as well as a large fire pit with plenty of seating for a large group. There is also a sand volleyball court with net and lighting. On the inside of the cabin, just picture a very comfortable, cozy, modern and inviting home. The living room furniture is very comfortable, and the electric fireplace is a nice addition to help with a quick warm up after a cold ride. The kitchen is stocked with PLENTY of cooking utensils, pots, pans, plates, cups, etc.
Lastly, and certainly not the least, is the fact that the hosts of this property are by-far some of the nicest people I have met. Any questions we have, they immediately respond, and they are routinely checking in to make sure you are doing okay, and don't need anything from them. Having this beautiful home as your rental is by far good enough, but having the hosts that comes with this property makes the experience well worth staying here!
I cannot wait to reserve this cabin again in the very near future!!!
My 15-year-old son and I wanted to get away to a father-son ATV get away for the Thanksgiving Holiday. I searched several vacation rental properties (thru VRBO), and this particular one caught my eye because there was enough space to park the trailer, and all we had to do was hop on the ATV's and drive to the Windrock Trail System (#26 & #27). No trailering required once at the cabin. The first night, Joe (owner) called to make sure we were settled in and make sure all was going well. Knowing that we were there to ride the Windrock trails, Joe offered to lead us on a tour the next day, and boy did he. While we did download the trail system map on our phones (which was tremendously helpful), Joe took us through trails and sites that we would never have traveled. There is no replacement for local knowledge. His insight of the mountains and trails was a game changer. Being new to the area, it was nice to be able to follow, than to try to figure it ourselves.
So far, my review centers around the excellent proximity to the Windrock Trails and the excellent hospitality provided by the owners. Now let's review property itself.
When approaching this property, you drive down a scenic gravel lane passing through two gates, which lead you to the cabin surrounded by trees, all of which provide you with maximum seclusion while being only minutes from 2 gas stations, a bar and grill that cooks excellent cheeseburgers and fries, and as I mentioned earlier, minutes away from the trails. The property is beautiful through and through, horses in the pasture, a stone fire pit with plenty of comfortable seating, covered front porch, and a sand volleyball area. The inside of the cabin was equally impressive. The kitchen was equipped with all the necessary utensils, stocked with extras such as paper plates, paper towel, zip lock bags, etc. The cabin was clean and ready for our arrival. Bed slept great as well.
It is evident that there is pride in ownership and the owners are only interested in making our/your stay the best experience possible. I speak of staying here because of the Windrock Trails, but the property would perfect regardless of the reason for your stay. We are an active family and have stayed at many VRBO properties throughout the years. I give both the property the entire experience an A+. We felt so comfortable here that we will make this an annual event. Thank you Joe and Joni.
Awesome place to stay! House is very clean and finished in good taste you can feel like you are at home. Kitchen got everything you need to prepare breakfast or dinner. Very nice porch with fire pit table. Big fire pit surrounded with very comfortable swings and tons of wood to burn.
From the porch you can see horses and beautiful views of mountains. Excellent place to stay if you would like to go off road ATV or dirt bikes. Very close to Windrock Park. Joe the owner stay on the top make sure you have a good time and provide all information you need to enjoy the time of your stay. I use Vrbo for years but I never experienced excellent service from the owner like Joe provide!
We are coming back!!!
Everything was perfect. Pictures do no justice ❤... went on a ride up to an amazing view with the owner as he showed us around a bit. We even got to see a beautiful elk! The firepit outside was a huge hit as I relaxed snuggled under a blanket on the bed swing. Such a romantic little get away ❤
We were really excited to get there just from the pictures but they don’t even do it justice. Everything you could need and then some. The inside is all very nice, huge shower, very comfortable bed, two TVs, electric fire place, all the essentials supplied by the owners and it was spotless. The outside was even better! The fire pits were great as it got cold and with so many places to sit there we’re plenty of places to enjoy the views and the forest. The owners were very helpful and responded to any questions I had very fast as well as being very nice and welcoming. This house is very secluded as well which is great. Can’t wait to go back
Wife & I spent a weekend at the property and it was awesome!
Super secluded/private & QUIET.
Property managers were spot on and it was effortless.
We highly recommend for a couple or family!
