Henry Haus

The house was a charming property in heart of downtown. Excellent for families with pets. We decided not to bring our dog because of weather but she would have loved it.

A short walk to Main Street

We liked staying at Henry’s Haus. It was super quiet and close to the Main Street. Up a small hill one block north and you’re on Main Street. Within a 10 minute walk and you have the start of all the shops and restaurants. The property itself is nice and small but comfortable for a family to stay in. The retro appliances are a cool touch.

Cute and convenient house in Fredericksburg

Henry's Haus is a cute home close to main street in Fredericksburg. Well appointed kitchen that one can definitely cook in but we ate out on this trip. Beds are comfortable and the home was very clean. Nice Keurig coffee maker makes a standard pot of coffee or you can use a K-cup. The home is just as advertised on the VRBO site. The owner is very responsive to any questions and sent a nice welcome and departure message. We would definitely stay here again.

Stay with dog

Really cute house, clean, close to town, nice area, but the best part was a big, fenced backyard and a doggy door to the outside from the house. We don’t travel much with our pet, but really appreciate accommodations that allow pets.

Vintage house

Overall the place is cute and inviting. The outdoor areas could use a good dusting. Loved the porch swing. Back bedroom feels like a fish bowl and needs some better window dressings for privacy. Love the kitchen appliances and the overall feel. Check in process was seamless.

Great for family traveling with pets.

The space was exactly as described. Cute and quaint house with plenty of room for small family. Double thumbs up when traveling with a pet. Host had pet friendly amenities such as pet bowls and leashes, a fenced in backyard, and even a doggie door. Close enough to walk to Main Street.

Golf Get Away

Loved the house as described in the listing very cute and comfortable. Only thing I would do is have a few more chairs for the kitchen table the stools are hard to sit on for older adults. Dakota was very responsive and provided all the information for an easy checkin and out process. Hopefully we will be back!

Fabulous

Eclipse viewing just what we needed. House was lovely. Well enough equipped for our needs. We brought folding chairs and stayed up late on the front porch talking talking talking. Ther is a lovely wasp making her nest on one of the wooden houses. She has not bothered with us. We love animals. Please preserve her habitat for the time being. She’s our friend. We watered all the plants and have tried to leave every thing more or less in its place. Towels on bathroom floor. We are having a late breakfast then will take out the trash and lock up. It’s 11:55 hope that ok. My family is like herding cats. It’ll be another hour before we leave. Don’t know when your cleaners are coming in.

Good

The property was really good. Few issues, all guests did not clean up after their pets (backyard). Too much trash in trash bin outside. Both conditions increased level of flies and there were many inside. Backyard outside lights controlled on outside. House pictures in and out are a bit dated. Overall the house was good.

Hi, my name is Dakota and I live in Austin, TX. My mom moved to Fredericksburg about 10 years ago and I have loved this town ever since. We purchased this 100 year old farmhouse together and remodeled it from the ground up. We tried to modernize it for gatherings and entertainment while keeping some of the antique finishes that are so heavily rooted in Fredericksburg. We've also added a few new properties to our portfolio since then, another 100 year old Gem right off Main St. called Henry's Haus, and a more modern home built for entertainment right when you get into town called "Haus in Schwarz".
