We were looking for a place with several bedrooms for our group and the Castle was great. It's a funky little place which perfectly fit our needs. Leslie is an awesome host, super nice, she made us feel so welcome. It was so nice to be able to chill in the hot tub after a long day!
This was truly a wonderful home, filled with every amenity, history and much conversation. John, the property manager was awesome! We had our two little grandchildren, both 3 and under, had the time of their short lives. The look on their faces and the smiles on their faces said it all. Thanks for sharing your home with us Leslie!
Leslie was the best hostess. We were in visiting family and needed a place to celebrate my Mom, Leslie really helped us out. She offered tables & chairs. She was incredible anything we needed she was right there to help. I couldn't of asked for a better place to stay. The house is so comfortable & inviting inside & out. The pool & the hot tub were awesome. I highly recommend this property it was perfect.
We stayed for three nights in this lovely home. The landscaping is unbelievable and the pool, hot tub, outdoor facilities, really amazing. As a sidenote, you need to be aware that you’re truly sharing space with the owners by staying there, which was OK because she was lovely and informative. But if you’re looking for privacy, this may not be the best choice for you. Beautiful quaint house. Enjoy.
This should more properly be listed as an air B & B I think, as the hostess was in residence at the beginning. That being said, she was incredibly helpful and we needed the orientation to the specialty features such as how to turn on the jets, and work the treadmill. She even helped me buff out a little ding I caused on the rental car! I am so VERY GLAD we chose this site. We were here for 9 nights/10 days while our youngest son got married. His siblings and their families stayed with us at the "Little Castle" and we all said it was PERFECT!
I especially appreciated the large, well-stocked kitchen with commercial pans and cooking utensils, the luxurious linens and the abundant and generously-sized towels in the baths and around the pool. Even with our large group (13 at times), there was plenty for all. The pool was always clean and adequately supplied with everything the kids needed and they took full advantage of it .everyday except the day of the wedding.
The gardens were beautiful and worth exploring. The family enjoyed croquet and we even hosted a brunch the day after the wedding where we had 13 more guests stop in to enjoy the yard and buffet. Everyone thought it was lovely. The antiques are fantastic, but the home is still comfortable for living! She even had a little chest of Legos in the boy's bedroom. Leslie was very gracious about our departure time, since no one else was checking in that afternoon.
John was our host and made our stay more than amazing. He told us the history of the area, shared amazing stories and even took the time to make us banana waffles and take us to look at cool classic cars. It was my dad’s 82 birthday and he made it so special for all of us! Thank you John!
