Thanksgiving 2023

We found the cabin to be well appointed, tidy, and comfortable. It accommodated 7 adults and 2 pre-teens over 3 nights. Tara communicated frequently and responded quickly to inquiries. If you’re looking to “get away” - this is a great spot!

Adventure

Loved the setting and the pond for fishing. Even though it rained almost every day we had a wonderful time. The cabin was very comfortable and loved our stay.

Gorgeous Getaway!

We loved out time at The Nest! The cabin is gorgeous and is filled with touches throughout that make it so cozy and comfortable. The very long kitchen table was perfect for our party of 9 to eat and play tons of games. And the location was perfect for us as we love Wears Valley. I had a couple of questions and Tara was very quick to respond, even looking for the paint color name of the downstairs bedroom for us as we loved it! We definitely plan to stay again in the future!

Beautiful and Clean!

This cabin was perfect for our stay (4 adults, 1 teen, 4 kids). Very clean and everything we needed was there (we cooked a few nights, washed clothes, etc.). The host was amazing with communication as well. Would love to stay again on next trip to TN.

Best stay

This was the best cabin Ive ever rented in pigeon forge/gatlinburg area. They thought of everything. All the little things they helped with meant the world. I would definitely rent this cabin again. Location is a distance away but it was easy and worth it.

Beautiful Cabin

The Nest at Wears Valley is the best cabin we have stayed at in the Smokey Mtns. It was perfect for our family to get together with friends for a long weekend. The host was very helpful and friendly, the cabin was clean and beautifully decorated and the attention to detail was amazing. Our kids had the best time playing games, fishing and using the hot tub and we enjoyed relaxing!! The kitchen had everything we needed. Great place. We can’t wait to come back!!

Great Place

What a great home. Very clean and organized. Exactly what is represented in the description. The owner was quick to communicate any information we needed. Watch the windy roads getting there and the driveway is a bit tricky, but well worth the challenge. My kids enjoyed the game room. Kitchen is amazing. We’ll be back for sure.

Perfection!

This property was perfect! Tara was fantastic to communicate with! The Nest as Wears Valley is the nicest place that our family has stayed in the area! We travel 3-4 times yearly and we found the place that we will stay at time and time again! The Nest was clean, organized and Tara provided everything that we needed for our stay! She is very detailed in her directions and organization which made everything a breeze! I could not recommend this place enough! The beds were great, bathrooms were clean, and we sure did love the game room downstairs and the 4 different decks to have our morning coffee (In which Tara provided the pods)! I could not speak more highly of a place! Go book it now!

About the host

Host profile image
Hey there! I'm Tara. My husband and I own three cabins in the Smokies. One for smaller families, one for larger families and one closer to all of the happenings in Gatlinburg. That is because Great Smoky Mountain National Park is one of our favorite places to visit, and we love to enjoy it by ourselves as well as with family and friends. We have added extra special touches to our cabins, because we want them to feel like your home away from home. I really enjoy VRBO which means you’ll get high service and quality, local recommendations.

Feel free to book or message me first. I’m happy to answer any specific questions in advance.

By day, I am an account manager.

By night, I enjoy hiking, relaxing and everything related to decor (you’ll be able to tell that in our listings; I styled both cabins myself).

I travel often in hotels and also personally use VRBO as a guest. I know what a host should do to create a comfortable guest experience.

My favorite countries visited: Iceland, Italy, Turks & Caicos

Please let me know if there is anything I can do personally to make your stay extra special!

Why they chose this property

My husband and I purchased this property in late March of 2021. We saw that it had great bones, but it needed some love. We spent every single weekend from the beginning of April through the end of August traveling to the Smokies to renovate this cabin. Almost everything is brand new with the exception of the floors. The floors tell a story of the history of the cabin and what it has been through, and I did not want it to lose that feel. The Nest At Wears Valley truly feels like a home away from home. Sitting on the deck and looking out at the trees and the mountain peak is extremely relaxing.

What makes this property unique

We love the catch & release fishing pond that is about a 5 minute walk from the cabin! The community pool and deli, which is about a 5 minute drive, is also a great asset!
