About this property

Blackbear Den at The Twin Peaks Lodge

A short walk to the National Forest and a 10-minute drive to both Lake Arrowhead and Lake Gregory, the historic Twin Peaks Lodge offers 21 unique cabins with a top-rated restaurant on site.

Our 3 rules:
no smoking (thank you)
no pets (sorry, no exceptions)
no grilling or bonfires (we're surrounded by trees!)

If you are hoping for a quaint cabin tucked away in the pines and cedars with vintage mountain charm - a little haven of peace & tranquility, then look no further!

LISTING DETAILS:
Built in 1924, The Twin Peaks Lodge is listed on California's Registry of Historic Landmarks, and we continue to bring the big, beautiful embrace of alpine nature to our guest's front door going on a century now!

Some things to note: there are no kitchen facilities in the cabin (but there is a mini-fridge & microwave). Our restaurant is open for dinner and there's a little market open late just next door!

We provide towels, linens, bedding, pillows, and bath soaps, and suggest packing some extra toiletries and chattels for your stay. We have prepared this cabin for your arrival and will clean upon your departure - as there is no daily housekeeping.

GUEST INTERACTION:
Please message us via the VRBO app with questions/concerns/or house emergencies. We always try to respond to messages as soon as we possibly can.
**Emergency messages will be returned promptly, and non-emergency messages received after 7pm will be returned the following day.

GUEST ACCESS:
The entire place!
*Please note that sometimes weather conditions can affect streaming and internet connections.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER:
**To reduce risk of wildfire during severe weather conditions, Southern California Edison reserves the right to temporarily cut electrical service to its customers, and we have no control over that. Our guests understand that there will be no refunds for power outages or internet/Wi-Fi interruptions and that they'll happily accept the unlikely inconvenience for the sake of preserving our forests!

PLEASE NOTE:
- MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY - Please abide by the maximum occupancy number for the home at all times. **Please specify the correct number of guests when requesting/booking a reservation.

Q: CAN I INVITE MORE PEOPLE THAN THE MAXIMUM ALLOWED LISTED?
A: Maximum occupancy does not only refer to the number a cabin can sleep, this is also the number of people allowed in the cabin at any given time. It is determined by the licensing authority based on the number of exits and the fire safety codes. San Bernardino County has codes that are strictly enforced.
**Be sure to abide by the maximum occupancy number for the home at all times.

**IF YOU DO NOT ABIDE BY ALL CODE ENFORCEMENT POLICIES:
- Your reservation will be immediately cancelled.
- All deposit and rental fees paid will be forfeited.
- You will be escorted off the premises immediately.
**This cabin is strictly for the specified number of guests on the reservation booking and maximum occupancy is strictly enforced.

PLEASE BE SURE to read and review the following important items and all messages sent to your VRBO app before your arrival for additional parking, cabin and guest information.
**
In snowy conditions, CHAINS MAY BE REQUIRED for access up the mountain and for driving on mountain roads. Be sure to check weather and road conditions by contacting CalTrans, the National Weather Service, etc.
* We do not extend refunds due to weather conditions, road closures, driver's abilities or vehicle limitations.
* Mountain weather requires shoveling snow. Guests will be responsible for shoveling steps, the deck, a place to park and shoveling a path to and from the cabin.
* Snow shovels are located on the cabin deck -- shoe/boot chains are highly recommended when conditions are snowy and icy.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
**If any of the cabin rules are not adhered to, all guests will be asked to vacate the property immediately and will forfeit the reservation and all rental and deposit fees paid.

Great place for a weekend getaway for two!

Cabin was very clean and cozy when we arrived. There were plenty of places to eat and visit in a close proximity. Nights were very quiet other than the raccoons living underneath, which didn’t bother us once we realized it wasn’t haunted we just had some furry neighbors.😁5 stars overall

Rustic charm

The property was a rustic cabin with easy access. I assumed there would be a refrigerator and microwave oven to keep/cook the foods we brought with us (I should have noticed those were missing on the amenities listing.) When there was a breeze, it was very pleasant, but a ceiling fan would have made it much more comfortable. The carpet was heavily stained, but the rest of the space was clean (bathroom).

excellent retreat

I thoroughly enjoyed my retreat on the mountain, and the comfortable cabin was big part of the experience. David was easy to communicate with and was there for me to address any of my concerns or questions. Great value! Will stay there again soon.
