Weekend Getaway

We are a Big Island local family who took a weekend getaway to the opposite side of our island. The facility and accommodations were great. Our family (ohana) adores Waikoloa- Kamuela area.

Wonderful Property!

The place was exactly as advertised! It was quiet, close to cool beaches for snorkeling and laying out. The pool is an excellent spot for a dip to cool off and relax. The place was well stocked, with everything you need in a kitchen and a grill. I appreciated there were beach towels, chairs, and boogie boards for us to use. We took advantage of the washer and dryer and were happy with the spacious bedrooms. It was one of the best properties I've stayed at, and I would stay again!

Vacation

Overall our stay was okay. It is a very quiet area. The open kitchen is very nice. The unit was not really cleaned before we arrived. More like the counters were wiped and the floor was swept around the furniture.Trash under the beds, tables, and furniture. Items still in the dressers. The outside grill area was nice but the drawers and grill were disgusting. The garage was a mess with towels still on the floor. Communication with Dani was good. She had the cleaning co there the same day. She also had 2 new chairs and a cooler delivered next day that were missing. Unfortunately the shower and ice maker were not fixed. I had to listen the other couple complain about it every other day. This is the only place I have stayed that didn't have TP and paper towels. We bought and left it there so the next guest would not be caught off guard. It is a nice place but it could use some attention.

Wonderful stay

The location is really nice, we had a villa right off the golf course so it was very peaceful and nice to look at. Close to shopping and food. The house is very nice and set up for families. The floor was dirty but not an obvious way, our feet were very dirty after walking barefoot through the house. I made note of that with Dani and she got back to me and offered to have cleaners come over. To me that was great customer service and a fix to the issue. We declined and used the mop in the house. Our family had a fantastic stay on the Big island and would love to come back to this villa again. Mahalo and Aloha!

Retirement celebration

Condo was well used. Dishwasher backed up sink on 2nd day we were there. Took 3 days to fix. Bathroom towels were mismatched and frayed. Cushions on couch don't fit and slide off. Beds are uncomfortable. Driveway is so short car did not fit so had to find other parking in complex. Kitchen chairs are wobbly and place was not cleaned well on check in. Communication with management was lacking. Would not stay here again.

Great Mauna Lani stay

This is a lovely condo in a great location with access to all the amenities the Mauna Lani resort offers. It is in a gated neighborhood, and as guests we were given access to the Resident's Beach and parking lot. Most times we walked to the beach (1.2 miles) along the wide shoulders of the road, which we felt earned our oceanside naps! Napua Restaurant at the beach was available for take-out lunches which we enjoyed at our beach chairs. We also enjoyed a lovely sunset dinner at Napua. We enjoyed several rounds of golf, and especially the 9-hole par-3 wiki golf course. The condo is well appointed and clean. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the barbecue grill and dining on the lanai. The only thing we did not enjoy was the sofa in the living room -- the sofa cushions seemed to be mis-sized for the frame, and they kept sliding out of position. There were plenty of dining table chairs both indoors and out, plus chaise lounges on the lanai for comfortable relaxation. The kitchen is well equipped, and we cooked many meals. The Foodland Farms grocery store is very close by and carries a lot of high-end gourmet foods and wines as well as standard grocery items and a poke counter. Dani is a wonderful property manager. She was immediately responsive to our questions, and she made everything run very smoothly for us. We would definitely book this property again in the future, and we recommend it as an affordable option for staying on the Mauna Lani resort.

Very relaxing

Condo is very well suited for a relaxing time. Well stocked with kitchen supplies and abundance of towels and beach paraphernalia. Lots of space and amenities in a well maintained unit.

Lovely Unit

We had a lovely stay. It is well supplied with everything we needed, lots of cooking essentials, beach gear, extra pillows and linens. The view was gorgeous and the location was really convenient to the Waikoloa and Mauna Lani shopping and restaurants. The only suggestion I have is some mattress pads. The mattresses were new, but could use a little cushioning. Would definitely book again.

Relaxing, low-key house in beautiful residential area

We had a great stay at the golf villas. We had a few minor issues, but our host was extremely responsive and efficient. There were some crumbs and it was a little messy underneath the coffee table and dining table when we arrived, but not a big problem and the rest of the house was in excellent condition. Bathrooms were clean, beds reasonably comfortable, and the house was well equipped. Enclosed garage had lots of water toys that we loved using at the very calm and uncrowded private beach. The local grocery store in the Mauna Lani resort area was extremely convenient, obviously a little expensive, but a two minute drive so very useful. The community pool is warm and kids had an amazing time. Sitting in the backyard at sunset with a breeze, staring out over the golf course at palm trees made it truly feel like paradise.

A wonderful stay!

Our family of 5 stayed in this unit over spring break. It was perfect! The condo itself was well furnished and stocked with everything we needed. The pool area is lovely and just steps away. And, of course, having access to the beach club is always a great bonus when staying at Mauna Lani. We have stayed at many condos in the Mauna Lani area and, although the golf villas are further away from the grocery store and shopping mall, I would stay here again. So beautifully landscaped and so peaceful. Dani was very easy to communicate with and always quick to respond to any questions.

Amazing

The property is amazing!! Very nice pool and hot tub. Lots of shops within a short distance of the house. Access to a great cove with an outstanding beach. We even got to experience whales in the distance. Danielle was awesome and very responsive with questions or needs. Thank you for a memorable vacation!!

Fun stay, Golf Villa on site manager was the issue

We had 4 adults, one 9 year old, and one 13 month old and the size and space of the house were perfect. We used the pool daily, loved the private beach area, and were able.to drive to many restaurants very close. Although our best meal was ahi cooked on the BBQ. Only comments on the house/amenities was a lack of dust pan and hard mattresses. My rating is more reflective of the manager at Golf Villas. He kept mentioning this 12 page rule book, but never gave us one. It sure felt like after one thing (the van was a foot into the road out of the driveway) that he had something against us. Our neighbors were awesome, but they mentioned the same thing ok parking and had never heard of a 12 page rule book. The one that really blew my mind was when it was just my mom and I in the pool area and he told me there is no music allowed at the pool. He said it was on the sign, I reminded and showed him it was not. He brought up his 12 page rulebook again. Wasn't loud, no one else around, and playing easy going Hawaiian tunes. That was pretty egregious the way he brought it all up, ny mom was impressed with my restraint because he was very rude.

Great for the Family

Stayed here with wife, 2 kids under 8, and 2 grandparents. Plenty of room in unit, neve felt crowded. Very clean and quiet neighborhood. Local beach is well sheltered and high surf did not seem to affect the beach as much as others. Kitchen was well stocked, coffee pot could have been a bit bigger. Beds were comfortable, and plenty of bathroom space. A couple of smaller things to be aware of: - Garage is tight and the parking outside garage is even smaller. We had a Suburban and it would not fit in either. Plenty of other parking around the area, but were unable to use garage and apron to park. Only an issue if you will have a large SUV. - I like a cigar or two on vacation. I am used to not being allowed to smoke in units, and I wouldn't even if it wasn't against the rules. When it notes smoking is not allowed on property, they mean the entire condo complex. You have to walk/drive outside the main gate to be able to smoke. And you will be reported for smoking on the property. Even with the above two items this property was great and served our needs well. We would go back here anytime. Property manager was easy to get a hold of and very responsive. Instructions for check in were very clear and easy to follow.

Beautiful Stay

Everything was wonderful and Danielle was a great help with tips around the area. The condo was amazing, super clean and a perfect fit for our family. Having the beach access is so awesome! The entire property is beautiful and I couldn’t have asked for anything more! Our vacation and stay at the property was magical!

Great family condo - short drive to beaches

The stay was great once we could get in. I did not receive check-in instructions and had to reach out to the property contact who was responsive and apologetic. The house is clean and spacious and there was a fruit basket awaiting us at arrival. Beaches are a short drive away and having a washer and dryer is helpful. It's small so plan ahead since you have to wash towels and linens before you leave.
