No Drinking Water In Pinecone Paradise!
We loved the pretty, quiet location, the dock to Berry Pond, access to row boat, canoe and kayaks, the loons on the lake (there were five), the bald eagle that roosted in a tree by the dock, the merlin (falcon) that visited, the beautiful lake vegetation, the games provided, kitchen was well stocked and bedrooms were comfy. Just be aware that this property does not have potable water from the tap. Make sure that Vacasa has provided water canisters for water cooler in kitchen. There was only one empty bottle when we arrived late in the day with our kids and grandkids. Finally after three phone calls to Vacasa over two days, a delivery of water was made. Homeowner has lots of info in welcome book about places to hike, things to do and restaurants to go to. Very helpful. We did the fire tower hike which was an easy to moderate hike and beautiful view from the tower. The weather was a little rainy, cool and cloudy but we tried to make the best of it. This is not a young children friendly home as the deck has two sets of staircases (one on either side) and large gaps in railings. Also...there aren't any life jackets for the 3 year old or the 15 month old so we could not take them in the boats. Further, there is no "beach" to speak of which would have made swimming with little ones easier. We did however, appreciate that included was a packn'play for the baby to sleep in.
