Friends and I stayed here for a wedding weekend and had a great stay. It was tidy and as advertised. It was also in a great location to walk to food and shops.
We had a great time at this property, it was perfect for a group with multiple families because there are common areas, bathrooms and a kitchen in both floors. We could all hang out when wanted and also have privacy when needed.
It was easy to find and a central location for all our activities.
Beautifully appointed historic home. Fabulous bonus: it had a driveway to park! Great game activities: shuffleboard, Pong and Foosball downstairs. 2 completely separate living areas with kitchen and baths! Clean, comfortable , wonderful location. Very walkable. Awesome covered front porch.
Attentive host!
5 stars!!
The home was comfortable for our extended family to stay to attend a wedding. Centrally located in Denver. It was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the ac worked well. The only things we noticed that weren’t up to 5 stars is that there wasn’t any soap or shampoo which there usually is in VRBOs and there wasn’t quite enough silverware for that size property.
This home was simply lovely. It was in a great location to walk the areas, and have ample opportunities to stop in to local restaurants, bars/pubs, etc. It was clean and well appointed and there wasn't anything we needed that we didn't have.
The VRBO was clean and well stocked for our stay. The location was perfect for our downtown activities. We had a ball playing the games and will definitely plan to stay again next time we come to town. The only issue was the pillows were too hard but next time I will bring my own.
We came into for the night to see Nuggets v Spurs. Great place to crash and plenty for kids to do. They loved the shuffle board and arcades. If you bring kids, grab the downstairs room. Not the most comfy mattress and sheets, but super dark, cold and perfect for sleep! The host is a great communicator and has built plenty of templates to keep it simple. Coming with kids, great place and central.
Patrick was very attentive and responsive to correspondence. This little house is perfect for those that want to stay in Denver but not in Denver. It’s perfect distance away from all the typical “city” stuff but easy to get to either walking, renting bike or scooter. Locals are friendly and accommodating. House has cool games for all ages. Shuffleboard, sit down pong and fooz ball. Would stay here again.
Fun for the whole family. Great location and large open living space to play games. Shuffleboard being the MVP. Morning strolls for coffee through the historic neighborhood We’re delightful. House is extremely comfortable. Loved visiting on the porch!
The check-in and booking process is great. The property owner was fabulous. The house itself is adorable, good parking and super clean. My only feedback is the beds are very firm. A mattress topper would go a very long way. Otherwise, it was an excellent experience.
I can’t say enough positive things about our stay here. The house is in a great location and has many amenities to offer. There is a shuffleboard table upstairs that was very fun to play. The basement offers a video game and foosball table. The basement is a very cozy, fun place to hang out. There are also board games to play. There is a ton of room and the little amenities you don’t think of- chargers next to the bed, shampoo, conditioner, full kitchens that are well stocked if you choose to cook, two full bathrooms, and washer and dryer. The decor of the house is very cool. This place would be great for an adult group of friends. Easy walk to Broadway with multiple restaurants and shops. I would definitely stay here again!
My family really enjoyed our stay! Patrick was very easy to communicate with and quick to respond. The Baker area is fun, quirky, historical, and full of places to eat, drink, and shop.
The house was cozy, but with plenty of room for our family of 6. You coukd easily travel with 2 small families as well, one upstairs and one downstairs. The kitchens are well stocked with any dishes or utensils you would need to cook/bake and eat at the home. Its a short walk to restaurants, bars, and shopping. Its a short drive to downtown Denver. Everything was very clean. Beds and pillows are quite firm, so if you like that you will be very comfortable, if not definitely bring a pillow from home. We enjoyed all the game options at the house as well. Staying here was an awesome part of our family vacation!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Good overall, but not accurately defined on 'sleeps' 5 and 3 beds.
This place was very cool in regards to decor, the overall feel of the place and the area. The biggest problem was I was in communication about needing 4-5 spaces for adult (non related male) guests to stay. It ended up being 4 adults, but there were only 2 small beds. When I asked about it after the first night (we quickly hauled a blow up mattress over), the owner was responsive but said the trundle portion of one bed was locked in the closet, and that he could get it out if needed. That would only be 3 spots anyway. We ended up having one guest just stay with us (in town). It made it a pain for the ease I was looking and paying for.
The good stuff - good location, easy to find, great restaurants close by. Check in was super easy. House is darling! Historical area and lots of charm and quirk. Shuffle board table, video game and foosball were a hit. Wished we had more time to chill and relax. This is a great house for that.
The tricky stuff - There’s 2 bedrooms upstairs. Each room has a full size bed. And 1 of those rooms has a trundle bed attached. You could have a small child sleep there but the bed is in a corner of the room so a little tricky to step over the bed to get off the primary bed.The rooms were spacious But the beds were not very comfortable. We were all wishing for a massage. In the lower level there is a 2nd bathroom and kitchen. There were 2 full size beds and nice living space. However that’s all in one room so you couldn’t use the space and have someone sleeping in the beds - or kids there etc. The biggest issue though was the air conditioning. The upstairs was HOT when we arrived. We turned the temp down but it took FOREVER to make a dent in the temp. It made upstairs sleeping tough. Unfortunately the folks in the basement were frozen. It’s an old house, so that’s just tricky to regulate. Wish they had cooled it a bit before we got there. Just something to know. Those that like the cold should take the lower level and others upstairs. Lastly the parking was tricky. There is space for one small car in the driveway. Other cars had to find street parking. th
This was a very nice home. The owner was very helpful and communicated well. Patrick went above and beyond to make our stay easier and more comfortable. And the shuffleboard didn't hurt either.

My son and I decided to meet up in Denver and chose Patrick's place to stay. It did not disappoint. The location was close to lots of tourist destinations downtown, Ball Arena, and a short drive to other places like Wings over the Rockies. There are also plenty of great places to eat close by. I felt extremely safe in the home and neighborhood at all hours. All amenities were great in quality and comfort. We cooked in the well stocked kitchen and loved the newer appliances. This whole house is beautifully updated, very cozy, and has immense historical character. It was very nice to have the driveway for off-street parking. If we ever go to Denver again this is where we will stay. It was very comfortable for us. Patrick was great to deal with and gave some great suggestions for food and pubs. Thanks Patrick for opening your home to me and my son. Amazing Stay!

Hi I'm Patrick! I'm a Colorado native and have lived in the Baker neighborhood for 5 years. Whether you need recommendations on restaurants, the best ski runs, the best happy hours, or help planning your trip I'm happy to help!
Why they chose this property
This is my favorite neighborhood in Denver! While being in a quiet location, you can easily walk a few blocks to some of the best bars/ restaurants in Denver. Mile High Stadium, Meow Wolf, Denver Performing Arts Center, and any other neighborhood are a short 10 minute drive away. The house is very close to 6th Ave which makes it one of the closest routs to the mountains (about 75 min) or Red Rocks (about 20min) while still being in the heart of downtown.
Whether you are enjoying a morning cup of coffee or afternoon drink on the relaxing patio, playing a round of shuffleboard, or being in one of the best locations in all of Denver, you'll fall in love with our home!
