About this property

"Du-topia 2" - Entire home centrally located in Lake Linden.

This charming fully loaded home has exceptional comfort, cleanliness, and everything you need for an exceptional stay. Located .1 mile from the Lake Linden park, .3 miles from the Center of town (two restaurant/bars, 1 convenience/gas station) and very close to the epic snowmobile trails of the Keweenaw, you can’t lose with this property. There is on street parking available in both winter and summer with daily plowing services to ensure ability to come and go from the property. The house features two bedrooms with new mattresses throughout. Bedroom one has a queen bed plus also has space for a twin bed to be added upon request. The second bedroom features a large double bed. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans for those guests that need that "white noise" sound or air circulation. For the warmer, humid months air conditioning units are available both upstairs and downstairs. The living space for this house is large open plan with plenty of space to add an aero bed (available) if needed for additional sleeping space. There is a large screen tv with cable and internet provided. The kitchen is fully stocked with all appliances available and has a table seating for 4 and bar seating for 2. The house has carpeting throughout (except the kitchen) and thus removal of your outside shoes is necessary. For those with winter gear/snowmobile gear we have created inside the house a drying space next to the heating system with linoleum flooring and hooks/shelves to ensure your things have ample drying time for next days use. We have a 6 person maximum occupancy rule with the caveat that there is only one bathroom on the property.

Enjoyed Lake Linden

The house was clean and nicely furnished. The kitchen was really complete. Three things I would change: 1. Replace the recliner, it is broken. 2. Replace the radio in the kitchen with one that works. There sre some good stations up there. 33. Get rid of the Rok on the 3. Get

Very Comfortable Stay

We stayed here as a hotel alternative moving my son up to tech. The price was reasonable, the stay was comfortable, and the location was great for back and forth trips to Houghton. With the conveniences provided and the great communication with the owner, I felt more like I was staying at the house of a family member. The only thing to be aware of is there is no first floor bathroom. This was fine for us, but may be difficult if there are any physical disabilities in the group. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Near snowmobile trails

Smaller older home accurately described in listing. 1 bathroom upstairs with 2 bedrooms. It was nice to have single fold out bed for my son who came to stay from MTU separate from my daughter who stayed in one of the bedrooms. About 18min drive to Houghton from the home. Not many restaurants in the small town but kitchen was well stocked which is as great as we made our own meals. Gary was very friendly and available to help if we had issues or needed snow removal. Toilet leaked which there was a sign warning and instructions how to tighten around if you felt comfortable. Overall clean and beds comfortable with plenty of linens. A little bit higher priced for an older home in smaller community but was during Winter Carnival at MTU so expected it.

Great Location for us to base out of for our snowmobile trip to the UP

This cozy home is like coming up to visit family, as it felt lived in and comfortable. A kitchen that has you would need to prepare your meals if that is what you like but also a great restaurant within walking distance for when you are too tired after riding the trails all day. We could relax in the living room and the bed was very comfortable! We must be fussy with mattresses because we usually have a back ache when we awake at hotels and other rentals, but this home had a very nice bed that was as comfortable as ours at home. The trail for snowmobiling was a few blocks through the neighborhood, then you were right on trail 3 off 10th street. Very easy to get to and there was plenty of parking for our pickup and snowmobile trailer. If I'm up this way again, I will come back.

Great vacation home.

Older homes in an older district, but everyone was so friendly. The park and lake made for perfect after dinner activities and lovely walks.
