We went to Highlands for the weekend, and it was wonderful! The house was better than the pictures. It was immaculately clean, beautiful bedding, great accommodations. I could not have been happier with this property! Will absolutely book at this property again for our next trip.
The house was cozy and well stocked with all supplies and linens. Trip, into town was very quick. Having tv’s in every room was a nice extra. I would certainly recommend this house for a stay in the Highlands area
Had a great stay in Highlands. Property within minutes of the village and was a great launching point to many of the hiking trails in the area.
Property was comfortably furnished with all the essentials needed.
Very nice house and well appointed with everything you need in the kitchen, along with towels and bedding.
The owners could not have been nicer and more cooperative.
Great size for our family. Vwry nice and clean. 3bdr, big enough for us and 2 of our adult kids and dogs. We have family Thanksgiving dinner with our extended family members. Garage was very helpful so our 90yr-old great grandparent with a walker could enter the house from there with no steps.
Nice and cozy three bedroom, two bath cottage on a short intimate cul-de-sac about a mile and a half from downtown Highlands.
Cottage has a master with queen and on-suite and large walk-in closet. Middle bedroom has a queen bed with full bath off the bedroom. Third bedroom has two twins and screen porch.
Property has a decent kitchen that is fully equipped, outside gas grill and fire pit will be terrific in the spring, fall and winter.
Flat screen TVs are in each bedroom as well as living area. Dining is at a large round glass table it’s seating for six.
This was obviously the “Rabbit/Bunny” themed cottage.
The furnishings were large and rather dark (two leather reclining sofas, heavy large wooden beds and an abundance of other small tables and consoles filled the cottage. (One of our guests felt a little claustrophobic)
The gracious welcoming note and nice chocolate chip pound cake from the local Mountain Fresh Grocery was most appreciated!
One covered garage space and outside parking for two additional vehicles.
A fun time was had by all.
The home was very close to downtown Highlands. It was newly renovated, clean and well stocked with the essentials. The beds are wonderful. The only negative was the 2 homes adjacent to the property were under renovation and were very run down, so you felt you were in a run down neighborhood even though all the other surrounding homes were beautiful. That will all change once the 2 homes are renovated. Also, take your own pillows, unless you like foam. In general we were very happy with our stay.
Fun getaway to celebrate my moms birthday. We all very much enjoyed our stay. House was clean, there was a fire burning when we arrived. The host left some delicious bread from a local bakery that was delicious. We were even lucky enough to have some snow before returning home. House is within quick driving distance to downtown Highlands. I emailed the host a few times and she was always quick to reply and very pleasant to work with. We will definitely love to stay in this house again and I would highly recommend it! Also, our dog Molly loved it to!
Great Property and House - Close to Highlands and Cashiers
Our family of 5 (grown children, no spouses) stayed at 12 Honeysuckle Lane for Thanksgining 2021. It was the perfect low key and comfortable vacation for us. The house had everything we needed and then some - gas log fireplace, kitchen with lots of cooking items, nice table settings, wonderful neighborhood for walking our dog, comfortable reclining leather furniture in family room, nice towels, new renovation (it seemed). It was really a wonderful experience and the owners were excellent in how they responded to our questions. I highly recommend this 3 bedroom/2 bath home.
The house was so cozy and comfortable. We arrived with the lights and fire place on for us as well as some fresh bread. Great place, we plan to book again!
I cannot say enough good things about this property and the owners, the Johnsons. My family and I were so excited to find this listing last minute, and we enjoyed a wonderful trip to Highlands. They could not have been more accommodating. They truly thought of everything to make our stay more comfortable and stress free! The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of pillows and plush linens, and even toiletries in the showers. I would love to stay here, again! The cottage was spotless, and it is situated in a great location! You are just a few minutes from downtown Highlands but are located in a quiet neighborhood with privacy. Book this cottage today! You will not be disappointed!
