My family and I had an amazing trip at John’s cottage. There was plenty of room to accommodate us and the view was just spectacular. The complex was very clean and friendly with the pool and beach all within walking distance. Family with young children should be aware that it was a 10mins walk to the pool which could be difficult for families after a day at the beach/pool. The cottage itself was very clean and filled with every necessity. We very much enjoyed our time and will return.

Overall enjoyable but garbage disposal was an issue
This house had strong ac and a really nice balcony overlooking the lake. Beddings are not the greatest to be honest but it was acceptable. The dishes in the dishwasher were not very clean so we hand washed everything before first use. Some of the cookware could be replaced as they were heavily scratched up. But the most troubling issue for this property was the garbage situation. We cooked every night so we had quite a bit of garbage. The garbage disposal bin was far from the house if you walk. We had hoped to use the golf cart to do garbage runs as we saw other residents in the community zooming around in these little carts. But we were told that the golf cart in the garage was off limit. We told the property manager we really didn’t want to put the garbage bags in our cars, can we please use the golf cart just for garbage runs. and to that, we were told to double bag the garbage and fulfil our responsibility. We drove the garbage down one day but the smell lingered in the car. The next day, we tried to walk down with the garbage and a nice young boy on a golf cart offered to take the garbage to the bin for us. Bless him! For the price we paid for the property, this garbage situation put a damper on the stay. We were also told on the last day that we needed to throw all towels into the washer and start the wash. All in all, the house was not bad but for the price, the kitchen should be better cleaned and the owner should provide a better solution for garbage disposal.
Overall, everyone enjoyed their stay. Some of the decorating was not to our taste but the kitchen was very well equipped and the property manager quickly responded to our requests. A few items which caused us a bit of bother: ran out of propane during 1st bbq; mould on outside cushions; blinds in basement rooms did not open and close very well.

Good family location
Nice property with several amenities. Decor & furnishings were a bit tired. Seemed like all homes in the Community had a Golf Cart - would have been nice to have use of that given elevated distance from the family facilities.
Surprised the home didn’t have an Iron/Ironing Board - sent a note to Owner early in the week of our stay but never got a response.
Great property, lots of room to spread out and fit 2-3 families. We rented a golf cart which was very handy. Beach and pool in the community were great
This home is large, spacious, clean and well decorated. For having so many Cottages clustered together, this resort (Osoyoos Cottages) is very quiet. Manicured gardens, stairways and trails eased the way to the Community Centre and beach. The amply furnished huge deck with barbeque affords a spectacular view of Lake Osoyoos. The home is high on a hill, and there are now neighbours on either side. The kitchen allows several cooks to be busy while guests can sit at the island. The 2 basement bedrooms allowed the younger couples some space to themselves. The maintenance issues mostly had to do with lighting and very wrinkled sheets, probably attesting to the % of cotton in them. Checkin process was fine, but would have preferred to be given the entry information more than 2 days ahead of time as we were travelling and the internet was unreliable. We would return and recommend this fantastic property to families or groups of friends.
Perfect place for 4 couples. Clean and well taken care of property. Each with their own bedroom and bathroom. Plenty of room and we couldn’t get enough of the view. Did I mention the view? Thank you to the homeowners for sharing their place!
Beautiful house situated high enough for scenic view. Kitchen well stocked.
Communication with property manager always good.
Patio doors and windows could have been cleaned better prior to our arrival as very dirty when sun shone on them.
Overall a beautiful place to spend a few days
The house is great! The complex is perfect for families with young kids (pool! lake!) and close to wineries for the parents. The place has a stunning view of the lake, and the decks are huge. Definitely check what's included, as some things aren't provided, e.g., toiletries, extra blankets, zester, etc. so you know what to bring. We'd definitely stay again!
