Welcome to Buck’s Cabin. The cabin has the feel of a hunting lodge, while offering amenities such as central heat and air conditioning.Max guest 4. There is a queen bedroom on the main floor. The loft has a king bed. Two bathrooms are on the main floor, one with a corner shower and one with a tub. A private outdoor shower is also located on the back of the house overlooking two acres of hardwood forest. The outdoor shower is available when there is no threat of freezing temperatures. No pet fee for one well behaved housebroken dog less than 25 lbs. WIFI is provided free of charge, and a smart tv featuring all streaming services to sign on using your accounts. Also all local Fox, ABC, CBS, NBC, etc are available through an HD antenna. Fully equipped kitchen and a propane grill on the deck if you want to cook your own meals. Beautiful wood burning stove with wood provided. Screened porch, deck with dog gates, outdoor fire pit / deck and picnic area. Please see the photos! Parking for one vehicle is ideal. The cabin can accommodate two vehicles but it is tight.
It is conveniently located 7 miles to DuPont State Forest for mountain biking, hiking, many waterfalls, and fly fishing. Pisgah National Forest and Brevard is a 20 minute drive.
Nearby 158,000 acres of FREE public lands, world class fly fishing, hiking, waterfalls, mountain biking, bird watching and picnicking in Pisgah National Forest, DuPont State Forest, Gorges State Park, and Headwaters State Forest. We loved our stay!

The cabin is very peaceful and relaxing, with everything you need for a getaway. Comfy beds and pet friendly. The hosts were very communicative and thorough. You will need a good car to get up the steep, windy, gravel road to get there.

Summer vacation

Beautiful place! Had everything+ what was necessary to have a wonderful trip. My wife and I were vacationing with 2 of her sisters and a brother in law. Had plenty of space The beds were very comfortable. The cabin was spotless. My wife and her sisters were excited to find the coffee percolator!

Our favorite spot in the mountains

This was our second stay at Buck's cabin. Our favorite part is the mountain view. The deck can be closed off to keep the dogs safe. We also appreciate the privacy. The cabin is clean and well equipped. The owners are quick to communicate. Lastly the cabin is a quick 20-30 minute drive to Dupont and Pisgah forests for terrific hiking and waterfall viewing. We can't wait to book our next stay at Buck's

Great Cabin!

My husband and I stayed 4 nights in this wonderful cabin. It was just like the pictures provided - clean, quiet location and wonderful hosts. It's a short drive to many hiking destinations and to the town of Brevard. We would stay here again when in the area.

Nice place near Brevard

Enjoyed the stay there very much. It was a great relaxation trip and the cabin was very nice, I enjoyed the dark night stars and quiet evenings. We plan on returning soon.

Wonderful cabin!

We had a great stay at Buck’s Cabin with our family of 4 and 2 dogs. The cabin is as described and the hosts were wonderful and gave great recommendations. We enjoyed nearby waterfall hikes, going into Brevard and Cedar Mountain. The yard around the house was great for the dogs and the outdoor shower was also a treat. Would love to stay again.

We've stayed at several properties on Cedar Mountain and Buck's Cabin is by far the best! Quiet, amazing views, super clean, stocked with everything possible you would need. Highly recommend!!

Peace and quiet

This home is everything we dreamt of when imaging a mountain retreat. We especially loved the back deck with the unobstructed mountain view. We also enjoyed the gorgeous wood-burning stove. The home is well equipped and the owner is quick to help if needed.

Awesome Cabin!

We’ve stayed in several mountain cabins in the past few years, and this was one of our favorites! The hosts were incredible! We had lots of fun roasting marshmallows and playing darts. The environment is relaxing and perfect for a family getaway. Highly recommended!

This was the coziest cabin that has everything you need and the view is breathtaking! We enjoyed getting away from it all and having the wood burning fireplace and fire pit.

Absolute Serenity!

Im not the type to leave reviews but this was everything we were looking for in a cabin stay, i mean wow. I was even in awe when i walked in and saw it in person while knowing what the pictures looked like! The owners are very down to earth and wonderful to work with, instructions and communication were beyond my expectation, and the location is great as its close to a lot of nature trails and other places to visit. There are other cabins that are high end and very nice, but this in my opinion gives you the cabin experience with the characteristics of a cabin that is nice that is secluded with great views. We will definitely be back, and thanks for everything!

Thanksgiving mountain getaway

We had a fun time at Buck’s cabin. It was just the experience we were wanting. Very rustic cabin feel with all the comforts of home. Everything was thought of from the coffee & creamers, to the spices in the cupboard, all the paper products we needed & even the wood for the indoor fireplace. Everything was clean & well cared for & decorated appropriately. You definitely felt like you were in the mountains & the views were so pretty. Our family really enjoyed it! Thank you!

Just what we needed

The cabin was great and the owners went out of their way to make sure normal items were available so you could enjoy the house. It was fantastic, tucked far enough out of the way that you enjoy the solitude. It really was home away from home. Owners were very attentive and gracious hosts and they made themselves available if needed. LOVED the outdoor shower! Really good location to get to Brevard, Hendersonville or Dupont State Park.

A beautiful getaway

The kids as well as the adults had a blast. Not too far from activities but far enough to have complete privacy. Cabin was awesome. Fully stocked and comfortable. A real home away from home.

Beautiful Mountain Cabin

Bucks Cabin was wonderful. If you are looking for a place to escape and relax, this is the place for you. Very quite, yet not too far from civilization to get what you need. Chris and Judy were wonderful hosts and even spent time showing us their wonderful bees and chickens! I have been considering bee keeping for a while and this has definitely made me more eager to further pursue it. We had a blast!
