Lovely stay with family as the island was just opening up and getting ready for the season. Beautiful porches and spaces for relaxation and calm and fun!
We had a wonderful stay!!
The house had all the amenities and was clean and well cared for.
Love the decks and yard.
Great location near the beaches and store.
Awesome view right from the house!!
We had always wanted to experience a vacation on Chebeague and this home was perfect for our family - two boys and our golden retriever. The house is clean, well appointed, and the views are beautiful. We got to watch a thunderstorm from the terrific porch, ate lunch in the yard, and made friends with the neighbors. Highly recommend!!
This place was very accommodating. Loved the welcome bottle of Chardonnay and the convenient Keurig coffee maker with a good assortment of coffee and tea. Perfect wrap-around porch with lovely views for morning coffee. We especially loved the short walk to the Niblic for "elevenses" - second breakfast. Perfect spot for family get-together on Chebeague.
This Island Cottage is the perfect weekend getaway! Brian is a great host, and the house is well stocked and just a short walk to the beach. Overall, a great stay in a cute home. We can’t wait to go back!
Huge family gathering to celebrate 2 family members who passed. The house provided a sanctuary for my adult kids. Close to our various family homes which made gathering together very easy. Definitely would recommend this charming home to any one visiting the island!
We spent a long weekend at Brian’s quaint house. It reminded me of my grandmothers home. It was spotlessly clean and had plenty of bed linens. I struggled a bit with the stairs and outdoor shower as I am recovering from a total knee replacement- couldn’t get into that great old cast iron tub! I loved having morning coffee on the porch swing. Brian was easy to contact and responded quickly.
It was just me and my daughter and our first tme to Maine. The cottage was lovely with a nice view. We had a very relaxing time and enjoyed our visit immensely. We can’t wait to come back!
Great hosts, awesome island full of friendly people. Awesome stay!
Short walk to the ocean. Small store not far away. You can rent a golf cart to get around the island. Everyone waves and seems to have a dog so dog lover's rejoice!
Outstanding hosts with a perfect location on the island. Beautiful view, super clean, nicely appointed. But truly, the hosts were what made all the difference! They were very accommodating with a special request and checked in on us just ahead of the trip to make sure we were ready to go and set up for success.
The white cottage was the perfect weekend getaway for my spouse, two dogs, and I. The cottage was a hop skip and a jump away from the beach so we got to watch the sun rise over the water. We were welcomed into the space with wine, flowers, and dog treats. They had everything you need to make the stay enjoyable. Thanks for your hospitality Brian!
We loved our time at this home. The beach was a short walk down the hill and the island was beautiful. It was exactly what we needed to step outside of the hustle and bustle of daily life. We loved cooking in the beautfiul kitchen and sitting on the back porch. Thank you Brian for your wonderful communication and hospitality, we had such a special trip with our family. We hope to be back! Kristen
Could NOT have had a better stay! Brian and Christina are easy to contact, quick response and even ran us a set of lobster crackers up on short notice! Beautiful cottage. TWO AMAZING decks. Gorgeous front porch. Outdoor shower is bonus. Quiet, clean. We only regret having to check out!
We will return for a full week next year!
Tgank you for everything!
Our group of 4 adults, women friends for over 40 years, decided on a weekend stay at Brian and Christina's cottage. We brought our bikes which was the perfect way to get around the island. The cottage was clean and well stocked. There was a bottle of wine and fresh flowers waiting for our arrival. The porches were great to sit out and enjoy the views of the water. The responsiveness of Brian and Christina was amazing. Brian met us at the ferry to grab our gear and food we brought for the weekend while we rode our bikes to the house which was just a short distance away. They were quick to lend us a bike pump and a French press to make coffee as we brought our own beans. (There is a Keurig at the cottage) Christina was gracious enough to pick up our gear and delivered it back to the ferry for the journey home. The house itself is very comfortable, it is a beach cottage so has that vibe with creaky doors and floor boards which we felt added to the charm. And everyone we encountered on the island was very friendly and helpful when we needed directions. The young gentleman at Doughty 's Island Market even offered to come up to the house to pump up our bike tires when we called to see if they had a bike pump. (Prior to borrowing one from Brian and Christina) We would definitely recommend staying at The Island Cottage and plan another adventure there in the future!
