About this property
Sonoma Haven - Jewel-box Retreat - 50+ Wineries - The Fairmont - Farms - Hiking
This is it! Charming doesn't even begin to describe this luxe and cozy cottage in the heart of wine country.
Two stories, air conditioning, 3 bedrooms, dining room, sunroom, marble countertops, deck w/built-in propane BBQ, table that seats 10. Nespresso, Ninja, Netflix, filtered water tap, tub/shower, luxury bedding, new appliances.
50+ wineries within a 10-mile radius.
We invite longer-term, consecutive stays.
Welcome to Oaklore: Your retreat in the heart of an ancient oak forest!
Right in Sonoma: Oaklore is less than three miles to Sonoma Square and a few blocks to the Fairmont in one direction and Glen Ellen in the other. Stay for a month or longer - or come up for four weekends for the price of one - 31+ day stays.
Travelers, writers, couples, remote professionals, families with older children (7+) and small dogs (under 20 lbs) looking for an extended sojourn to Sonoma: welcome to your lovingly restored, 1910 jewel-box home among towering oak trees!
Greet the day in the sun-drenched breakfast room. Cook up a feast in the just remodeled kitchen - then host an intimate dinner in the dining room surrounded by antique windows.
Retreat to the deck to stargaze under the string lights, surrounded by the property's six majestic oak trees.
Sleep soundly on the four-poster bed and organic latex mattress, designer bedding and fluffy down pillows.
This is your magical, story-book treehouse - every window filled with light and green. Fresh air and relaxation await.
The entire property has just undergone a several-month renovation. Every item in the home is brand new (or antique), just bought, and lovingly selected.
Are you into farms & farmer's markets? There are many nearby.
The house also has a Nespresso machine, milk frother, coffee maker, french press, pressure cooker, slow cooker, Ninja blender, food processor, and air fryer/convection oven for you to use. The house has several HEPA filter units.
PETS: We love furry friends under 20 pounds, but to book with a pet I need to approve your stay & discuss your pet. Also, our yard is fenced with deer fencing so your dog can probably get out.
YARD: The exterior is left natural, but it is free of debris. We have a children's playhouse in the side yard. The back deck is the best place to relax outside.
NOTES
1. There are desks in both of the downstairs bedrooms and the wifi is strong.
2. Your 31+ day stay is not subject to hotel occupancy tax! You are saving 14% on this booking.
3. The brand-new back deck with a table that seats up to 10, two loveseats and tables are there for you to enjoy!

About the host
Hosted by Jasmine Stirling

I'm a San Francisco-based children's book author (Jane Austen: A Most Clever Girl, Bloomsbury, 2021 and Dare to Question, 2023) with a husband who loves the outdoors, two very silly little girls, and a dog that looks remarkably like a stuffed animal. I love to create beautiful, creative, and soulful spaces that guests will love, remember, and come back to over and over again.
Why they chose this property
After years of city life, my husband and I fell in love with Oaklore in early 2021, and set about restoring and updating it. When it's not rented, the space serves as our family retreat and my writer's studio. We hope you will enjoy this special storybook cottage in the trees as much as we do.
What makes this property unique
Having stayed in and looked at hundreds of properties in the region, we think our cottage is one of the most special places we've ever set foot in. It had us at the quaint sunroom, the light-filled, breezy formal dining room, and the back deck among the oaks. If you love charm, history, magic and fresh air, you just might agree. There's something about the place that calms and relaxes you the moment you set foot in it. Maybe it's the treetop location, the period detail, or the friendly street. If you're a creative type, a thinker, an adventurer, a lover of design and old things - this just might be the place for you. Stay here now and come back year after year. Our house is your house.

Horseback riding, Spring Lake exploring, berry and apple-picking, local festivals, and many other adventures await. San Francisco is exactly one hour and an easy drive away. Marin hiking, Point Reyes, redwoods, Sebastopol, the Russian River, Healdsburg, Yountville, and Napa are all an easy drive.
