Wonderful location in Santa Fe

Super location, can walk to everything! The Hosts were very great and easy to communicate with, especially since I made a mistake on the dates of our stay. The only negative I have is the A/C unit is in an awkward location and is very loud. We loved our stay!

Spotless Santa Fe Stay

Great spot for a couple to spend a few nights in Santa Fe. Short walk to the square and many restaurants. Clean, well-kept unit with a comfortable queen bed. Easy check in and parking process.

Great location

The location and hospitality were excellent. Small quirky things like having to park a block away wasn’t a big deal for us. We spoke to the host about a few other improvements she should consider like better lighting which she agreed to make. Expect a little outside noise like a visit by a garbage truck in the middle of the night but otherwise very quiet overall. Ear plugs were provided although not really needed. Having a great bakery located near by was a nice amenity for mornings. All in all, a very pleasant stay!

Great location, great space

We were so glad when we landed here and found it walking distance from both of our restaurant reservations for the holidays. It’s a perfect space with everything you need (and more!) and was very lovely to stay in. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

What a cute spot!

Very happy we selected this place. Located in the heart of Railyard District, close to tasty restaurants and plaza. Had all that we needed for a family of 4 (older kiddos). Walked to dinner each night and to explore. Loved staying here!

Great little place!

This was the perfect little place for our family of 4! Great location, clean, and super cute inside. We didn’t have any issues during our stay, but the owner seems great and you can tell she pays attention to the little details. Would definitely recommend!

location

We were a little disappointed that the Railyard was not very vibrant. Except for a couple of restaurants, the area seems quiet with few worthwhile shops or galleries to visit. the casita conversion into a vrbo spot was adequate. Place is clean, and except for the noise just outside the windows during the scavenger pickup in the alley, the place met our needs and would recommend it to others.

Perfect Santa Fe studio

Located close to all the action but quiet. Spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen, and bathroom with nice towels and toiletries. Clear instructions were provided for easy check-in and check-out. A bottle of champagne and sweet and salty snacks were awaited us and were very welcome after a long drive. Highly recommend.

Fit our needs perfectly

We (a girlfriend and I) came down to SF for IFAM. It’s always fun to see the different ways VRBOs are set up - I am also a Premier VRBO host. This apartment had everything we needed, and it’s proximity to the Folk Market, as well as the plaza was terrific. The parking was a non- issue. Great stay!

Casa Estaca

Clean, Comfortable and convenient place for walking around Santa Fe, especially the Railyard district. Excellent check-in directions from property owner. The pullout couch was useful to accommodate family members for an overnight stay, but the lack of privacy if 2 couples are sharing this flat may be problematic for some. I would book Casa Estaca again if in the Santa Fe area!

Great location

Our property was within walking distance of Old Town and the railroad District. It was clean and comfortable. Our two minor complaints is that the ice maker didn’t work, and the change filter light was on in the fridge.

Nice, clean, walkable

It was our first time in Santa Fe and a bit of a surprise trip. We went along with some family who needed some help with a member who was using a walker. No room in their hotel so got this last-minute rental. It was great for our purposes although a little more than we expected for one room.

Good location

The location was great as far as being able to access the Rail Yard. Bed was comfortable. No view, but apartment was clean and cozy. I would recommend to add some oven mitts and maybe some baking pans. The kitchen did not have a few essential items, other than that, it suited our needs perfectly.

Cozy & close to so much!

Really enjoyed my stay here! Came here for a long wedding weekend and needed something central and this worked perfectly. The place is tucked away and private, but very spacious and SO CLEAN - easily the cleanest place I’ve stayed in. Parking is offsite, so be aware that there is some walking involved, but it was really easy to pull up and unload the car/drop folks off. The place is set up like a studio - but had a lot of room and was comfortable to have a few friends for pre-ceremony drinks! Also, Charlotte was really responsive and anything I needed was dealt with promptly. Would definitely stay here again!

Spotlessly Clean and close to everything

This casita is very spacious, and the furniture, especially the bed, is comfortable. There is a nice area for watching TV and reading a book. The kitchen is very big, with a full-sized refrigerator and oven. (Both spotless.) I don't think I've ever stayed is such a CLEAN home. There is also, a lovely patio with an umbrella table, for morning coffee or evening wine. Be prepared that parking is about a block away. Also, access to the front door would be difficult for anything with wheels. Charlotte was a responsive hostess. We asked for more coffee, and she gave us enough for an army! We had a wonderful time. Ended up walking a lot, since the casita is so close to everything.

Perfect for our Family

Perfect little Vrbo for our family of 4. We loved the location and were able to walk to different dinner spots with our kids on several evenings of our stay. When we first arrived I got concerned it was going to feel too small and cramped because we had a ton of stuff with us for skiing. I was wrong though. After we got settled and organized it felt just perfect for us. I was also initially concerned about the parking not being out front and had prepared my husband in advanced. The walk to the car was very easy though and because we were able to pull the car up to unload/load we had no issue with it. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and will definitely stay here again. The only thing I will note (just so others are aware) is that there is a bit of outside noise from time to time at night. Nothing over the top but noticeable. Mostly it was noise from a nearby dumpster when trash was being taken out and then the dumpster was dumped in the early morning hours one day of our stay. Our kids didn’t wake and were not bothered but if you have light sleepers you may want to bring a sound machine or something to help drown out any outside noise. (This stuff is obviously unavoidable and uncontrollable by the host. So I don’t in anyway count it against them).

Behind Casa de Huerto
After living out of her suitcase for ten years and and a hot and muggy day in Tokyo, Charlotte met her husband on a busy street corner in Omotesando. A whirlwind romance and a handful of Japanese paparazzi later, together, they set off on their journey home to unpack-for good.
Established in late 2020, Casa de Huerto grew out of Charlotte's love for her hometown and her desire to share Santa Fe's magic with visitors from all around the world.

In two years, CDH has grown exponentially, from a single property vacation rental into a multiple property company. From cozy, one bedroom adobes in the center of town, to elegant cabins in the mountains (coming soon!)- CDH has a little something for everyone.

The family grew in tandem with the company. Charlotte is now joined by her two sons, Kit and Baby Bo and the goofy but well intentioned yellow lab, Blue.

Casa de Huerto believes that good vacations are only as good as the people that help shape them. This belief is at the root of every decision we make. Happy homes make happy people.
