This 3BR/2.5BA riverfront gem has so much to offer. Cozy up in two inviting living spaces, or step out onto the covered front porch and listen to the sounds of the Colorado River as it rushes by.

A prime location puts you 12 minutes from downtown Grand Lake, 8 minutes from the shores of Shadow Mountain Lake, and 10 minutes from the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park.

LIVING AREAS

Vaulted ceilings soar in the great room. Curl up on a leather sofa and matching loveseat next to the gas fireplace and catch up with your group, or get lost in a book.

Downstairs, a second living room has a sleeper sectional sofa, a 50" flat screen TV with Apple TV. Craft a beverage at the bar and play cards at the two-person bistro table.

KITCHEN & DINING

The well-stocked kitchen offers a full suite of stainless steel appliances and everything you need to make home-cooked favorites. Helpful kitchen gadgets include a tea kettle, coffee maker, toaster, and microwave.

Perch at the two-seater kitchen bar or gather around the dining table with seating for six.

BEDROOMS & BATHS

This home includes three bedrooms and a sleeper sofa that sleep 8 total. Two full baths and a 3/4 bath are stocked with complimentary starter supplies of toiletries and bath amenities.

Find tranquility in the spacious master bedroom, which is outfitted with a king bed and twin daybed. The en-suite master bathroom has been remodeled to feature a spa-like walk-in shower with a rain showerhead, replacing the old jacuzzi tub.

The second bedroom is furnished with two twin beds, one of which also has a twin-size trundle. The third bedroom, which is only accessible through the second bedroom, offers a queen bed.

A second bathroom holds a tub/shower combination, and a convenient newly remodeled 3/4 bath is located on the first floor, which includes an amazing new shower after we converted the original half bath.

OUTDOOR AREAS

Two porches face the mountains and the river, offering incredible views and the perfect spot for morning coffee.

EXTRA AMENITIES & DETAILS

6 person Hot Tub

The road and driveway are regularly plowed, but 4WD is recommended during winter months.

Great location, nice cabin/condo, two of the beds are terrible.

Great location, well maintained home, well stocked, with a stream running right past in the front. I would rent this place again, but ONLY IF they replace the two mattresses on the two day beds in the lower level bedroom and put a window covering over the window that is directly above one of the daybeds. Sadly without those changes, I would not rent again, and that would be a shame since everything else was very nice.

Great for fishing

Nice, quiet spot within a stone’s throw of some good fly fishing and a short drive away from marinas, lakes and the cute little town of Grand Lake. It’s a simple spot, but had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. Had an issue with the door locks, but it was dealt with promptly, which was appreciated.

Great Mountain Getaway

Our group has a great time staying at Mountain Calling - there was a lot to like about the house. The kitchen is well stocked with all the things you need to cook a nice meal, the living room was comfortable, the decks has a great view of the river. The master bed room was large and the bed was comfortable. They provided tons of towels in the bathrooms. Down stairs was a great set up for a family of 4. Our kids loved all of the toys! The adults loved sitting on the deck and watching the sunset. The house was fairly clean upon arrival, but a few details were missed - like hair in the master bath and one of the towels didn't look like it had been washed. The biggest miss was with the property management company - The house was out of propane (we planned to grill for dinner) and the coffee maker wasn't working (traveling with 3 kids under 3- we needed coffee!) I had called to inquire about a replacement for both and I was told someone would get in touch with me to bring the items, but I never heard back so we went without a working coffee pot or propane for our trip. Overall the house was very comfortable for a weekend get away and we loved the locations. Thanks for having us!

Nice House, Great Location, Maintenance Issues

Mountain Calling is a nice, well equipped property in a lovely riverfront location. Unfortunately, there were several maintenance issues that prevent me from giving a glowing recommendation. The hall tub/shower was leaking heavily into the basement. A call to management had the problem fixed the next day. Other bathroom maintenance issues included both shower curtain liners had pink mildew on them and both shower curtains had obvious water stains. Also, a sink stopper in the main bathroom wasn’t working and the sink wouldn’t drain. Finally, the bed in the main bedroom is high and I couldn’t find a bedside step for easier access.

Wonderful stay!

This was a wonderful property for our family. The views were amazing and there were moose in the yard to greet us! The beds were comfortable and we appreciated the pack and play and the kids toys at the house. Plenty of towels and soap/shampoo. Kitchen was fully stocked. Less than a 15 minute drive to town. The only tip I would provide is that the kitchen cabinets were all quite sticky and needed a solid wipe down. Everything else was clean and inviting. Thank you for letting us stay at this beautiful home. We hope to be back!

Great stay!

We had a great time here! Loved the location right on the river and the kitchen was well stocked. Our kids loved having a few games and books there, too. Proximity to RMNP can't be beat!

Nice house, very comfortable

We were allowed to check in a couple hours early, which was nice. Original door code we were given didn't work because it didn't become effective until 4 pm original check in time. A quick call to the property manager and it was all fixed. Really the only snafu was that the remote to the television was missing so we couldn't watch tv but we really didn't miss it anyway. We did report it to the property manager who said they would notify owner and get back to us but we never heard anything more. Very nice house and hearing the rush of the Colorado River right across the street was very relaxing. No AC but we shut the windows during the heat of the day and the house stayed pretty cool. They do have several fans in the house as well. Everything was really clean and the Master Bedroom king sized bed was really comfortable! Wifi also worked really well. The only way to get into the house is to walk up some stairs so be aware of that. We enjoyed our stay!

Sitting along side the Colorado River sipping on a glass of wine, watching the sunrise/set. The wildlife….a family of Elk passed our way daily. The house is spacious with nice views of the River and countryside.

Great location on the rivet

This property is located next to a river, and about 2 miles from the highway on a seldom traveled well maintained gravel road. We loved hiking the area.. But we had lots of routine maintenance issues.

Stay at Grand Lake

Great property. A little more attention to detail on arrival cleanliness, upstairs toilet was broken. Everything else was wonderful. Wished was notified earlier if early check in was possible (1day before). Would go back again! Great view, quiet neighborhood, saw a moose and her baby, plenty of space.
