Very nice rental property. The host went above and beyond on making sure our needs were met. I would definitely stay here again and look forward to doing so in the future.
really enjoyed the cabin. open concept kitchen / living room was perfect. had everything we needed and very close to Bear Mountain for snowboarding. the ability to bring dogs was very helpful. large fenced in backyard for dogs to run.
would stay again.
The home looked much smaller in pictures than in person, and there were these beautiful windows that let in the morning light in the master bedroom and in the room with the single queen bed. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you could need. The jacuzzi even had hooks for towels perfectly positioned so you don’t freeze getting out. Overall a very relaxing place!!!
It was the perfect amount of space. The heaters in the bathrooms were a nice touch. The kitchen was great, the couches were comfortable, and the TVs were very much appreciated. Hope to come back.
The cabin was as advertised. I wish it had been cleaner in some aspects. Some of the dishes and silverware were dirty so I felt like I needed to wash things before I could use them and the hot tub had a harsh smell and was very cloudy, so we chose not to use it, which was disappointing. However, the rest of the property served our needs just fine. The management was very responsive when we had an issue at checkin and easy to communicate with.
Nice clean home, back room with children’s bed was very cold. Owners thought my dog pooped in one of the bed but it was a melted chocolate nut. I was charged extra for this.

Good service, not so clean
The property manager was very responsive when I had questions about the home and was accommodating when I asked to check out late, but I was disappointed at how dirty the home was. A bit more attention to the dirty floors and grimy dishes would have made for a better experience.
We stayed here for 2 nights with group of 6 adults and this place was PERFECT for our New Years/ Ski getaway. Communication with Kingston was great from the very beginning. The check-in and check-out process was seamless. This property is located super close to Big Bear (about 1 mile) which made getting to the mountain in the morning so easy. We actually walked there one day. It’s also very close to all stores and restaurants in Big Bear you’d need to get to. Even with 6 adults in a house, we felt like we had plenty of space. This property is also dog friendly with a dog bed and dog bowls included. My dog loved roaming around the fenced in backyard! The hot tub was amazing after a day of riding at the mountain and comfortably fit all 6 adults. The kitchen has plenty of plates/ bowls/ cups/ and all the cookware and utensils you could need. We are hoping to be able to stay here again in the future!
Worst VRBO ever, owner is neglectful/selling the place
I usually prefer VRBO over others, but since VRBO decided to let this property in, I am rethinking ever using VRBO again. This was THE WORST experience.
This is a run down property, and the pictures advertised are not recent. The couches are different, and only one of the power recliners work. The coffee maker was filthy since the wrong filters were used/left, the bricks in the front of the fireplace fell, the windows are broken/drafty, one of the showers is too hot, the other (with tub) has no hot water, the dryer stops in the middle of the cycle and the door needs to be lifted and button pushed at the same time to work.
We were two families (4 adults, 3 kids between 5-10, and 2 dogs). The first family arrived when the owner told us check in was and found the cabin filthy. We contacted the owner, who said WE were mistaken even though HE texted us 12 p.m., and to come back at 2 p.m. and the cabin would be ready. When they returned at 2:15, the cleaners were still there. The sheets didn't look like they were changed and seeing how the dryer worked I doubt they were.
The hot tub was filthy, and had an error message. We told the owner, and he said it didn't seem that bad. His spa cleaners were supposed to be there in the morning, and they didn't come until noon and didn't leave till mid afternoon. The spa still showed an error message on the thermometer, so none of us felt safe to get in. The owner called us picky and scammers and gave us a $40 refund.

Nice cabin with all you need but somewhat lacking, not clean
Easy to find & simple contactless check in.Hard to park 2 cars in front as no one had shoveled snow & ice.Nice big secure fenced back yard but again doorway/stoop was very icy and way to dangerous to venture in back yard. Our golden retriever & 13 year old grandson had no problem but rest of us could not access.i suggest a grate or something because someone could definitely easily slip on the ice.Hot tub was not accessible because of this and was only half full of water with no apparent way to fill and looked less than desirable. There were lots of black webs on bathroom wall that had not been cleaned in months & black mold spot behind toilet.Towels, dishes, etc. are pretty well done & worn. For $500+ a night would expect better than frat boys dishes, etc. but had enough to cook.Just needs upgrade.Reclining sofas were comfy but neither one reclined.Looked to try to plug in but to no avail.Light bulbs were burned out in several places & light was so dim you could not read.Dishwasher backed up into sink And disposal was broken which was gross. We had a nice visit but probably left it cleaner than we found it.Maybe OK for college kids & could be super cute with new paint, cleaning, updates, etc.
My family had a wonderful time at the cabin. Very cozy, with plenty of space for the whole family and a good sized yard for the dogs. After a long day on the slopes, the jacuzzi was fabulous. We enjoyed cooking our Thanksgiving dinner in the well-equipped kitchen. The location was perfect. The cute zoo is in walking distance! Kingston was a good host who was readily available. I highly recommend staying here!
Charming cottage with huge comfy couches in great room and a big flat screen television. Beds are comfy as well, with, not kidding - flat screen TVS in all 3 bedrooms! Close to Big Bear Lake and Village in quiet residential neighborhood across from golf course. There is tons to do in Big Bear, can't beat the natural scenery and many fantastic restaraunts near by.
Nice place about a 4 minute drive to bear mountain with a great back yard for pets and a pretty comfy place to stay
