About this property
Private 2 Bedroom Bungalow w/ Wi-Fi + Kitchen
Only 2.5 miles or a 15 min drive to Pike Place Market. The unit comes with Wi-Fi, self check-in, and free parking. During your stay, you can also enjoy using a convenient kitchen and living room. Our Airbnb is within driving distance to several popular restaurants, shops, and parks. An ideal base to explore Seattle. It’s tucked away from the main street but super easy to jump on the highway to take you anywhere in the city.
Very stylish and well taken care of bungalow built in 1916. Close to 1st hill hospitals, I-5, I-90, Capitol Hill, Lake Washington, Downtown. Located just a short walk (a few hundred feet) to Judkins Park and Playfield. The home is very private as its located directly behind a new build.
You will have access to the entire home plus small deck attached to the front of the home. Washer and dryer will also be accessible for guests.
Check-in will be contactless but the host is always available for questions/recommendations via text or call.
Neighborhood: The home is located in the small district of Judkins Park in Seattle. Surrounded by up-and-coming neighborhoods that have seen big changes in recent years, the triangular cluster of neighborhoods are still quite sleepy at its core, where one finds Judkins Park. Most of the commerce and dining in the area is found at its edges, on the three major thoroughfares: Yesler Way, Rainier Ave S and Martin Luther King Jr Way. Judkins Park is at the southern tip, and for those living in the Central District and Montlake to the north, it is seen mostly as a place you go through to get to I-90. Residences in Judkins Park are mostly older single family homes and a few newer apartment buildings and townhomes. There is plenty of green space, including the eponymous Judkins Park, which runs parallel to 23rd Ave, and Sam Smith Park, which sits over the I-90 tunnel and adjoins the Northwest African American Museum. Though the Judkins Park area isn't the most walkable, it is still served by several transit routes, which connect it to downtown, the Mount Bake Light Rail Station, and adjacent neighborhoods, such as the International District. It is thus an ideal spot for commuters to downtown and the east side.
Things to Note: Please note, there are a few stairs (about 4) from the entryway to the front door.
The home comes with access to a small driveway right in front of the home. It can fit up to two cars, one directly behind the other but is very compact in width. The driveway is approximately 90” (w) x 400” (l), please note the length isn’t fully straight, it’s at a slight curve and is decently uphill. For size reference, it fits our Ford Fusion with another car behind it but is snug on the sides. If you have a large truck or SUV, it might be too tight to park in the driveway.
Please be aware of the the parking size limitations. I’d recommend looking up your car measurements or plan on not using the driveway prior to arrival. If this is the case, there is plenty of free street parking available right in front of the home.
Absolutely No Parties. If any glitter or confetti is found after your stay, you will be charged an additionally cleaning fee and possibly negative review for not following our house guidelines. This
Transportation:
Link Light Rail - The closets light rail location to the home is the Mount Baker Link Station. It’s located about 1.4 miles away, or a 5 minute drive. The light rail offers easy access to downtown’s Pike Place Market, boardwalks, Ferris wheel and more. You can also take the light rail directly to the stadium at UW or downtown.
Whenever I have enough time, I always take the light rail to the airport because it costs $3 vs $35-$65 Uber or Lyft. Keep in mind, it will take you about 5 minutes to the station from the home in a car and another 40 mins to get from the station to the airport. It will help you avoid heavy traffic if that may be an issue too.
Uber & Lyft - The fastest and most reliable mode of transportation in our opinion. Simply download the App and go. Uber/Lyft Driver’s are always minutes away and cost an average of $10-20 per ride.
Turo & Car2Go - You can rent a car with car sharing apps by downloading Turo or the Car2Go app.
Additional Parking - Street parking is available and is usually pretty ample.
