BEAUTIFUL UPDATED CABIN WITH AMAZING MOUNTAIN VIEWS AND HOT TUB NEAR BOONE & BR

Centrally located between Boone and Blowing Rock and just minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway, this immaculately maintained Blowing Rock mountain home has gorgeous layered sunset views. There is an open and vaulted covered deck taking full advantage of the view. Misty Creek Mountain Cottage has an open vaulted and beamed living room and kitchen floor plan with a half bath and washer/dryer on the main. The large Primary bedroom along with an attached en-suite bath and roomy walk-in closet are also conveniently located on the main floor. There is an indoor gas fireplace to cozy up to while watching wildlife and viewing the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Upstairs, Misty Creek Cottage has two bright and airy wooded mountain-view bedrooms with a full and queen size mattress. The bathroom upstairs has a tub/shower combination. The home was built in 2012 and has all updated fixtures and hardwoods/tile throughout. The serene and private outdoor area is perfect for viewing the mountains and wildlife. The sparkling clean four person hot tub, wood burning fire-pit, and propane grill help make Misty Creek a perfect retreat for a true mountain experience. A four wheel or all wheel drive will be necessary in the winter months due to the paved but very steep driveway and roads in the area.
We do have a security camera on driveway for maintenance and security purposes.

Beautiful Home. Convenient Location.

The home was immaculate. We drove up for a quick weekend snowboarding trip with our daughter. The directions were very well laid out making the check in and check out process a breeze. The beds were sooo comfortable. We enjoyed the additional “touches” added to make our stay more comfortable. We did not partake in the hot tub this trip due to extreme winds and cold air, but perhaps next time we will. Just an FYI: we could not get the channel to change with the remote in the room our daughter stayed in but she was fine. The other room does not have a tv..so if you’re someone who needs tv to fall asleep to you might want to bring something..did not affect us..we did not need that room. The two bedroom doors upstairs do not close all the way( I’m sure due to the house shifting, as they tend to do that) The home was decorated beautifully. We enjoyed the fireplace and the soft throws. It was also a nice surprise to find board puzzles in the cabinet. Everything was truly perfect for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Thanksgiving Stay at Cabin in the Mountains

This was a beautiful cabin home in the mountains of WNC. The owners had it decorated for Christmas that added to the ambiance. Everything exceeded expectations. The fireplace and hottub were an added bonus because it was quite cold outside. Very close to the charming downtown of Blowing Rock and Boone is nearby as well. Highly recommend and will be back!

Nice cozy home with great views. The pics & house descriptions were spot on. Only thing was that the gas logs did not work due to a gas tank issue caused by the hurricane which was communicated to us & completely understandable.

A little piece of heaven

We enjoyed the quiet and the beautiful view! I loved sitting on the porch and reading and drinking my coffee in the morning and enjoying the sunsets at night. The beds were very comfortable. The only thing I didn’t love, and this is a personal preference, was a synthetic fragrance plug in. But I am sensitive to too much fragrance. I would definitely go back!

Beautiful Sunsets

Driving up the mountain I knew the views would be so worth it. Cabin felt very secluded with a steep private drive and ample space to turn around for the drive down. There is a cabin further up the road behind this one but the foliage really kept the privacy, so much so I didn’t notice it was there at first. My kids and I adored the back porch for meals, reading and just generally taking in the amazing view. We were visited by deer daily as well as rabbits and hummingbirds. The cabin itself was very clean and well equipped with all we needed, pots, plates and utensils, to prepare meals. Washing machine space is a bit tight, but it totally got the job done. Location is central between Boone and Blowing Rock, took no time to get to either place. Check in process is super easy as well as the check out process. Probably the simplest checkout check list I have seen in a while, which I highly appreciated. Cannot say enough positive things… just rent it, you won’t be sorry.

Heed the "steep driveway" caution

We really enjoyed staying here. The house was clean, well-equipped, comfortable, and roomy. The deck and hot tub were a lot of fun, too, and the view was spectacular! My only caution is that the driveway is, indeed, VERY steep. I could only get my minivan to the top going all the way up in reverse. My friends' vehicle did not have any problem. Lovely property, well-cared-for.

Perfect for us in every way!

This lovely cabin is Situated high on the mountain between Blowing Rock and Boone. The living area is spacious and open to the kitchen and dining area. The views are spectacular from the den, two of the bedrooms and the wonderful porches that face the mountains. It was perfectly comfortable, very clean and very tastefully decorated. Communication with the owner was fast and most helpful. I cannot say enough about this cabin. We definitely hope to return!

Beautiful Location for Perfect Getaway

This lovely cabin provided the perfect spot for a family get away. With a beautiful view of the valley and surrounding mountains, we enjoyed morning coffee listening to the birds sing and watching a young fox scurry by the house. Evenings were spent in the hot tub and then by the fire ring roasted marshmallows, while watching a few deer rest admits the front rhododendrons or the pileated woodpecker criss cross to its dwelling in a tree hollow in front of the house. Fixing meals was a breeze in the well apportioned kitchen. Great water pressure was appreciated and comfortable beds provided good rest for the next days adventures. Great communication! Thank you for sharing this space! We'll be back!!

Mountain Cabin

This home was exactly as advertised. Very clean and communication with host was easy and quick which is always important. My family had a great time and location was perfect for us as we went skiing at App Mountain. I highly recommend and will loo to book again in the future. The fireplace and hot tub were perfect

Christmas Mountain Getaway

We stayed here before Christmas, and were very impressed. The house was immaculate, and the mountain views were spectacular. We had nightly s’mores by the fire, and enjoyed the hot tub all with views of the mountains. The owner knew we were coming with a child, and had the house decorated beautifully, Christmas tree and all. They definitely went above, and beyond and we will be staying here in the future. Highly recommend!!

Wedding Trip with friends and family.

This fantastic cabin is the best VRBO we have ever had the pleasure to visit. Location was second to none. The views are amazing. We ate in for several meals and had everything we needed for preparation and serving. The hosts decorated for Christmas and the cabin looked beautiful. Amazing home, inside & out

Our family of 4 absolutely adored this home. It’s the epitome of mountain coziness! Everything was exactly as described, very clean & so comfortable. The views were simply amazing (and we thoroughly enjoyed the sweet deer that napped in the backyard one afternoon!). This home is in a wonderful location, so close to everything Boone/Blowing Rock has to offer, yet seems so secluded. We enjoyed the hot tub immensely! We love the mountains and when we saw “Misty Creek Mountain Cottage” we knew it needed to be ours!! It’s all about the VIEWS and of course has the convenient location between Boone and Blowing Rock! We aren’t the only ones who enjoy it…there are typically a dozen deer in both morning and evening that graze in our yard. The SPA is wonderful and relaxing and has an awesome view too! We suggest you bring your binoculars.

Why they chose this property

Misty Mountain Cottage is located a little over 10 minutes to Boone and Blowing Rock which makes shopping and restaurants convenient.
There is a feeling of seclusion, even though the cottage is located in a heavily wooded and well-maintained neighborhood. All roads are paved and the driveway might be a little steep (and paved) but we feel the payoff is totally worth it when you reach our Cottage to enjoy the the total mountain experience. For that reason a four wheel or all wheel drive will be necessary in the winter months to maneuver safely.
