Quiet, clean and conveniently located in beautiful Newburyport this house was perfect for three couples visiting the area for a family wedding. Having lived in a house built in 1720 we found the architecture familiar and charming with very modern updates, including a state of the art kitchen. We walked to our Friday night event in the middle of Newburyport and had numerous choices, all walkable, for breakfast/lunch the next day.
Stay the weekend for a family wedding. The house was close to all the planned activities and provided a nice place to seclude to when needed. Very warm and welcoming home and area, which was important to me. Highly recommend as a safe and affirming place to stay.
This was the perfect spot for my group of friends (three couples) to stay for our friends wedding weekend! The house was clean, well-stocked with games, books and activities, and had a very homey touch. We appreciated the short walk down into town where a handful of the weekends events were
The home was very clean and comfortable with a kitchen that is well-supplied with everything you may need. Loved that you can walk to downtown Newburyport. I would definitely stay here again.
the house was immaculate, well stocked, and beautiful. we enjoyed every minute of our trip.
the online pictures didn't do it justice, unless its been recently remodeled. It was just perfect!!
I had such an incredible time staying in Newburyport MA with 4 of my best girlfriends. The house was beautiful and the property manager was welcoming, answered all my questions and was prompt. The building itself had a cute outdoor area, a fireplace, plenty of room to sleep and was clean with great natural light. Would absolutely recommend this stay to anyone. Thank you!
We walked everywhere. Great restaurants, shops, and a beautiful home to end the day. Everything you need is there. Short drive to Plum Island and Parker River National Wildlife Refuge.
This gorgeous, historic house is in the perfect location - quiet, but easy walking distance to all that downtown Newburyport has to offer! The house is beautifully appointed and very well stocked. Highly recommend staying here, and we will certainly be back in the future!
We thoroughly enjoyed our Newburyport stay — and our VRBO host was most helpful and accommodating. The house is wonderfully located and has an excellent kitchen and plenty of room to read, watch tv, work, or just relax. One word of caution: For people with mobility issues, the original steep 1769 stairway may be problematic, and the second stairway — while better — does not have a handrail.
Walkable to downtown and water and rail trail, this home is fabulous. Plenty of room to spread out and work. Fully stocked kitchen. everything comfortable. GREAT stay!

I am the CEO of a child welfare non-profit in Boston and now feel very lucky to toggle back and forth between Boston and Newburyport. I have raised my three children in Newburyport and have served on several community boards. I chose the milk street location to buy our family home because of its proximity to downtown. The beautiful old town and waterfront is in walking distance with a charming small yet urban feel. The restaurants are high quality, galleries beautiful and my kids could walk or bike to the library or music lessons. Now that my kids are older, we spend a good chunk of time in Boston where my youngest goes to school, but Newburyport is still home. I knew this property would long serve as a vacation home for our family and something I would pass to them.
Why they chose this property
This home will feel like your home. Because we go back and forth and still use with some frequency, I am able to ensure things are well maintained and the house is fully stocked. Our cleaning people are impeccable and I have a handy man close by. Our neighbors are lovely and friendly. You will enjoy being close to downtown and the water and the historic homes that surround.
