Such a cute little house. Loved the fenced in backyard for my pup, too. The host was also so accommodating and quick to respond to messages. We would absolutely stay again if we're ever in the area.
The Little Yellow House reminded me of my Grandmother'shome down the road in Troutman. I felt the warmth and coziness as soon as you walk in the front door. And you were greeted by a bear on the porch. The old creaky wood floors, cute neighborhood, and remnants of past heating took me back. Thank you for your home, I will be back.
My husband and I thoroughly loved our stay at the little yellow house. We were in Statesville for the celebration of my mother‘s life. We had quite a few family members in town also and it gave us a chance to meet with them. The house was very clean and accommodating.
We loved the Yellow House. It was close to the town center...walking distance as well as our relatives.
We were in town for the Full Bloom Movie Festival..
The home is 80 some years old, but very clean and well supplied with soaps, paper goods, etc.
My husband and I were looking for a stop halfway between our home and Florida. House was in a good location. It was located very close to the highway. It was in a quiet neighborhood. House is old and needs some upgrades. It had a fenced in yard for our pup.
My 12 yr old and I stayed here hole he participated in Bull Contractor camp for kids and bucked bull at Jerome Davis Invitational. It was perfect for us and our 2 dogs. Home was cozy, quite neighborhood. Internet worked great, as I worked at the house while he was in camp each day. Would stay here again if back in Statesville NC area if home is available.
We enjoyed staying several nights here. Cozy & comfortable. It was conveniently located to check out Charlotte and surrounding areas. Kitchen was well-stocked for making home meals and downtown is close by. We would definitely stay again if in the area!
This quaint yellow house is near everything you’ll want during your stay. It is a cozy abode with a cottage feel. If you like older vintage houses with character (and I do!) you’ll love it. The hosts were very friendly, responsive and accommodating.
My husband and I received nascar tickets for our birthdays in January. We didn’t want to stay too close to the track and found this little gem of a house. The neighborhood was fantastic. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch watching a family of squirrel run in and out of a knot hole and round and round the trees. I loved sitting in the back porch listening to the birds. The kitchen was wonderfully supplied. The fact that the house was old reminded so much of my grandparents house. The sound of the wood floors…great memories. So beautifully decorated, I love honey bees. Adorable, relaxing, just perfect for our trip. We have to come back!! It was totally worth the 17hr drive!
We have stayed here twice now and love the house and area. In fact we're in the market and have tried twice to buy 2 houses nearby, though unsuccessfully. So I'm sure we'll be back to stay here while we search. The host is very responsive and kind, house is always clean and well stocked. Most organized kitchen I've ever seen 😁. For those needing to work the internet has never had an issue any of the times we've stayed. Love the park and historic cemetery across the street and if you have dogs the fenced backyard is wonderful. We met a few of the neighbors since we stayed longer this time, all really nice people as well. Overall just a great place and I'm grateful it's within our budget.
Many of our family lives in Olin, Harmony and Charlotte. Statesville is an excellent location for us to be in order to spend quality time with each family unit. The house is comfortable and our only difficulty was managing the steps! That's because of our age! I would totally recommend this to anyone looking for a good place to rest and relax. Jean and her husband are very accomadating and helpful!
Very nice house and comfortable stay. I loved the historic charm of this house and everything was really well done. We are moving to NC so stayed here a week to check out the area. I worked from 'home' the entire week and the internet was great. The fenced backyard was convenient for dogs. The cemetary and park across the street are very well maintained and we enjoyed walking there. Dogs are also allowed to walk on the cemetary roads just not on the grave sites. The neighborhood was quiet despite the houses being close. In fact I don't remember ever seeing another person in the neighborhood the entire time. Be sure to read the notes from the owner as they have all the details you will need!
