My family and I stayed at Isabella Shores for our annual summer vacation. We loved it! The weather didn’t always cooperate but when it did we took advantage of the expansive outdoor seating and activities. The family room had toys and games and for the kids and enough room for us to all gather together. The little touches Debi left for us like the s’mores caddy were much appreciated. 😊 everything was clean and comfortable and exactly what we were hoping for.
Beautiful home with amazing view. Quiet sandy beach. Dog freindly
Debra was the perfect host. The house has everything you could ever imagine needing. We absolutley loved the way she has decorated her home almost every detail is nature inspired. We will be back. Did i mention the absolutely huge deck and stunning views of the water. If you chose to stay here you may not want to leave! We loved our stay!
Debra was an excellent communicator with organized and reasonable instructions. Her house was clean and substantially stocked with dishes, spices, swim toys, and other household goods. This pleased my mother-in-law, who insists on cleaning and doing laundry during vacation, which I appreciate. If she felt the place was stocked and clean, it was stocked and clean. The property is right on the lake, with a private beach and boats to use. We had 4 couples and 1 baby stay comfortably.
What an amazing find is Isabella Shores. Total serenity in a beautiful landscape. The best swimming ever. If you enjoy a sandy beach as well as sandy lake bottom, this is the absolute perfect spot. A wonderful deck looking out at Big Bay de Noc on Lake Michigan.
Plenty of beach toys to use including a paddle board which paired up beautifully with the board we brought along with us.
The location offered us the chance to visit Whitefish Point, Tahquamenon Falls, Pictured Rocks, Manistique Light, and a trip to Escanaba as well. But the real attraction was just hanging on the deck and beach enjoying the shallow waters of the lake.
Excellent communication with Debi and the home was truly incredible.
Have already recommended this place to others and if we ever find ourselves in this area again, would absolutely stay at Isabella Shores. I’ve already half-jokingly said I’d like to inquire about a month long stay.
Thanks for the great memories.

About the host

My family and I have been in the Chicago area for many years. My parents are originally from Nahma/Rapid River. They owned a home for at the far end of the beach. We summered here as children and when additional property became available we added this home to the beach. My family and I have enjoyed many years and have wonderful memories of our time spent at our beautiful home on the beach!
What makes this property unique
I believe this property is unique because of the wonderful location. The beach is full sand and the water is very shallow on shore so makes it fun and safe for kids and adults of all ages. Each year after a long winter the shoreline changes! Sometimes the ice brings in small rocks along the shoreline but there is still great access to the sand bottom of Lake Michigan! Fish can be caught from a boat or a kayak right in front of the house. There is nothing like a fish fry with fresh caught lake perch, walleye or small mouth bass!
