Owner is VERY difficult and unresponsive
We called / texted her daily to fix the toilet (ran continuously), fix an electrical outlet (I got a shock plugging in her lights on the lanai), and provide chairs on the lanai per the photos on VRBO (she told us to use beach chairs that don't come up to the height of the table). We told her we had 2 couples coming for cards, and instead of offering chairs, told us we couldn't have a party. She quit answering phone calls and texts, and hung up on me (twice) and a VRBO rep who was trying to help us get a resolution. VRBO offered us compensation for our troubleShe told us a plumber would be by between 11 am and 5pm to fix the toilet, expecting us to be there. We had plans for the day and it wasn't our responsibility. She told us it was "the rule" that we had to be in the condo if someone came for repairs, but no one was in the condo when pest control came in to spray for cockroaches and other pests.No oven mitts or sufficient dishes (four spoons, four plates...ended up washing dishes everyday so we would have clean plates, etc. for dinner), no cookie sheet or cake pans, no measuring cups or spoons (we were here for over a month and usually enjoy cooking), the bed is old (2012), sags and is uncomfortable, towels didn't look like the photos and would be ones I would use to wipe off a floor or car. For the price we paid, I expected the unit be better appointed.Her reputation with other condo owners is not great They offer condolences for renting from her, but nothing else.
