Great Stay

The Loft at Granny Creek was perfect for our stay. It was super clean and comfortable. The property was only a short drive to town, but gave us that country feel that we remembered from childhood. I definitely recommend and will book it again when we come back to Mt Vernon to vist

Country getaway

A loft, so stairs...well maintained and easily negotiated...opening to a very clean, nicely appointed living space. Cozy with all the amenities you need and more. The setting with Fall colors was idyllic. Peaceful and near many areas we explored for food and shopping and antiques, while visiting family and attending a nearby wedding. Couldn't ask for more. Hope to return!

The Loft on Granny Creek

This was a perfect 2 Bed/1 Bath Loft for my friend and I. We were in the area for a 2 day Women’s Ministry Conference. The property is nestled back in a beautiful wooded area next to a creek with many Evergreens. It was very quiet and peaceful. The only thing I would recommend is a new mattress in the Master Bedroom. It was very uncomfortable.

Perfect on all counts.

I booked this wonderful location for my husband and a friend, who were competing in a nearby airgun competition. Both raved about the house and how comfortable it was. Highly recommend.

Perfect Quiet Getaway

This is our third year staying at this Ohio location. It is exactly as advertised. John is by far the most engaging and friendly host we have met on any VRBO property. The property is exceptionally clean, with everything you need. Grocery and dining options are within as short drive of the country setting. Highly recommend checking it out!

Back again at the Loft

This is stay 2 for us at the Loft. We appreciate the quiet and private “home away from home” atmosphere. The Loft has all the amenities that we needed. It was clean and comfortable and we plan to stay again if it’s available. The owner John was on-site and available, but we didn’t have any issues. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property.

Property was very clean and not a bad drive to Cardinal center for shooting competition. The apartment is on the second floor so may be difficult for some. The only issue was the use of portable ac units to cool off the suite. The apartment remained cool but the interior smaller bed room only had a fan, which my son said was ok as long as he left the door open. Would definitely stay again!

Amazing location—beautiful and peaceful!!

This is an amazing place to stay. If you’re looking for accommodations where you can escape to the country and unplug, this is it! The loft was immaculately clean and comfortable. Everything was in perfect working order. Check in & check out were super easy. I really appreciated having a washer & dryer because of the length of my stay. If I’m ever needing to be back in this part of the country I would definitely stay here again!!

Ideal for Kenyon visit - Beautiful and peaceful setting

I am usually satisfied with my VRBO rental experiences, but this one exceeded my expectations more than most. The Loft is even more spacious than it appears in the photos and is very inviting and comfortable. What really makes this a special place, however, is the beautiful private setting. It is not far off the main road, but it is surrounded by large trees and within earshot of a flowing brook. I was in the area for my daughter's graduation and she remarked that one of her favorite memories from the weekend will be the time she and I and my son spent walking around the grounds at dusk. And thank you, John, for the wonderful hospitality.
