We were pleasantly surprised at the roominess (the pics don't do it justice), the bedroom is large w/lots of closet space, the location is quiet/peaceful, the location was ideal for us as access to the bike loop trail is 3/4mi down the road at Danny Lopez park (we did not bike to the trail as the house is on a short gravel road & the paved road has no bike lane), Silverbell GC is within 5 minutes, restaurants are 10-15min N or S on Silverbell Rd, overall this is a great property and we had an excellent stay.
This was a lot better than I imagined it would be. It is on a dead end road that abutts a beautiful wash. The neighborhood is very quiet with places to walk your dog (recommend leash as there was a lot of wildlife). The yard was fenced, but what I'm not used to is that there was wire that made the fence work for my chihuahua (he can go under most fences). There was plenty of coffee, toiletries, and even some food and water there. My friend used the pull-out futon and I used the bed--these felt a little rough to each of us, and that was the only thing that could be improved. The house was decorated in a manner consistent with the southwest, and even had a drum. The plumbing was good. The internet tends to be limited in the Tucson Mountain area, so probably wouldn't be the best for doing video calls all day. Lastly, the sunsets and nighttime sky were each amazing at this house. I would and I hope to stay at this house again!
Just an oasis on the edge of the city. Easy access to lots of hiking and the city. A great patio with a sunset view.
This unit was roomy, well-appointed and clean. Our host was very responsive. I’m booking again!
The home was very well maintained and clean. We enjoyed the location out away from the city overlooking the desert mountains. The home was stocked with everything we needed and enjoyed the quiet evenings. It was very easy to get to hiking trails and sites around Tuscon.
This little gem was perfect for me and my cat on our 5 day trip to Tucson. The location was excellent for visiting Tucson Mountain Park, the Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum, Sweetwater Wetlands preserve, and all the excellent food. The back patio is such a wonderful treat and great place to kick back and enjoy the desert. Alex was friendly and responsive. I would definitely stay here again!
I believe renters could give better directions to access property. It's amazing how ignorant One can be in figuring minimal directions. Location and Key access. There was no on air antennae so we bought one at Walmart to use while there. The bed could use a new mattress. The kitchen was well stocked and all was clean. We felt right at home. Quiet neighborhood. 4.5*. Would return.
I told the hosts the pictures on their listing do them no favors. This hidden gem was fantastic. Easy to find because of great directions from the host. But, tucked away in a quiet neighborhood with amazing star gazing at night.
Uber cool Spanish style colored concrete floors and a comfortable kitchen. We even had access to laundry to clean up our clothes after coming off a 4 day camping trip.
The bathroom is fresh, modern, and comfortable; with a big jet tub for your enjoyment. Plenty of desk space and good wi-fi for our work needs Mon Tues Wed during our stay.
Absolutely will seek out again in Tucson.

Sonora Sunset Sanctuary
The location is outside town in the western hills. The house is divided and we stayed in the west side. The wall of windows facing west and the veranda lining them are perfect for sunsets. The bedroom is spacious and well furnished. The living room sofa folds out into a second comfortable bed. The bathroom is fun. The jacuzzi worked great for getting the kinks out after a hike in the area or a trip to town. The kitchen had what you need to cook. The house was well stocked with supplies, except there were no tissues.
There is no television but that worked out. There is decent Wi-Fi, once we found the password.
Prearrival communications were less favorable. I had to contact the host twice to get the information. Roy, next door, was very helpful.
I thought I was renting a whole house, but it was actually subdivided into two rental units.
Check in was confusing--apparently to the other renter who the next day walked in on me while I was IN THE BATHTUB! (Understandable since we both were given the same address.) I had stupidly left the sliding doors open, because there were no other windows really and I wanted the desert breeze.
You won't see them in the photos, but desks blocked 2 doorways in my bedroom---because I assume based on what I later heard through the thin door---that my bedroom adjoined the other couple's bedroom.
When I arrived so many light bulbs were burned out (including zero functioning bathroom lights) that I thought there was an electrical problem. Two blinds were not working. The internet stopped working. I did communicate my concerns with the owners. The next day they replaced a few of the lightbulbs and got the internet working, but I guess otherwise what more could they do about the privacy or the security The fire alarm was missing. The grill was rusty and disgusting with no utensils, but I did not even bother to complain. I just wanted my vacation rental to be over.
After literally 20 years of lotalty to VRBO, this was hands down my worst and quite possibly my last VRBO experience. Extended Stay has got to be safer and more private.
Beautiful, peaceful spot. Property managers very nice and accommodating. Good location close to I-10. Well furnished and comfortable. Would stay there again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Alex's place. It is a very original and beautiful, serene property but not far away from Tucson. Wonderful views of the stars at night. We loved the southwest style architecture and the patio. Kitchen is fully equipped with all new appliances. We made great use of the jacuzzi. Thank you!
