The check in was good, received a text with the information needed prior to arrival. The place was simple, yet clean. We had everything we needed. The place is new and smells like faint like oil base paint.

It served its purpose
Very little communication with the renter. In fact we weren't contacted with the code of the key lock box until after 6pm and waiting for an hour and a half. We had already started making other arrangements. The house mostly clean. We had to clear a substantial amount of cobwebs and spider webs. Kill some spiders and cockroaches. We found a smoke detector installed with its plastic bag packaging still intact, but there was one in every room. It sleeps a family of 6 but the living room has seating for 4, as does the kitchen table. I've stayed in worse. It served its purpose. The location was quiet and scenic.
We didn’t get to stay here. The moment we arrived I got a message from the host and said it wasn’t available anymore and let someone else stay there. Took hours for them to message back. Now trying to get my full refund of $330. Not worth the trouble. Do not book this house. Only rated bc it was required.

It was nothing special, slightly run down house, had some drawers that were messed up. It was overall a decent stay
Loved the stay. Only thing to remember is to request the entry code and wifi password from the owner before arrival. Response times were excellent, usually received a response through messaging within a couple of hours.
Our stay was great! The listing had the wrong check in time, but the host was super sweet about us being there early. We went into town so that she could clean, and everything was perfect when we got back. The area was so quiet and around 30 minutes from everywhere we went. I would definitely stay here again.
We didn’t spend much time there as we were getting ready for my daughters wedding.

Great cabin, only pro would be no AC in the kids room/twin bedroom. Overall a good experience
Only suggestion would be leaving the Wi-Fi password with the property rules. Having a limited phone plan, really rely on Wi-Fi for functionality

Very quiet
Cute cabin, quiet and away from the city. The cabin looks like it was recently constructed or updated. The complaints from previews reviews are still not fixed. (kitchen drawers need fixing, some have mouse droppings, and the a/c units are extremely loud)
Such a comfy and cozy stay. When we arrived and came inside we were very pleased with what we saw. We were a little confused as we never received any check in instructions before arriving. I called the number listed and asked for instructions and they were immediately given. Lots of room for others to stay as there’s plenty of beds and sleeping quarters. Overall we will most definitely be coming back soon.

Not great if you’re used to the Hilton, but it may do for you.
Overall this isn’t the worst place I’ve stayed recently, but it could definitely use some TLC. There were a couple drawers in the kitchen that are broken and nearly fall out of their track when opening them. The cleanliness would have been acceptable, except there were mouse droppings in the kitchen drawers, including the silverware drawers. Also, the check in process was not uploaded to the listing- at all. I had to message the owner of the listing multiple times to get directions to get into the home. I didn’t receive a response until 7pm on check in day. I thought it may have been an issue of cellphone service (now I don’t believe so,) so I called the number included In the listing 3 times, but there was no answer as well as no voicemail option. The home was comfortable and near mammoth caves area, the neighborhood seemed safe.
Took additional money from my card claiming we broke some anchor??? Which is completely untrue and if I had broken something I would have went out of my way to replace it and contact them as to what happened. Not impressed.

Review of the Goads stay
1. There were no clothes. Rods in any of the closets to hang shirts or any clothes.
2. The air and heat unit in the down stairs bedroom. When running , it sounded like a bearing was going out, and made it hard to sleep. It sounded like it could break at any moment.
3. The kitchen drawer for silverware had no dividers, was all in there loose
I stayed here with my husband and kids for the weekend. It was in a nice, country area. It wasn't far to things the kids wanted to do mostly in and around Cave City. Great place for a family for a short weekend getaway.
Very clean and well maintained property. The bedrooms are huge with comfortable beds. Very quite area with a nice view on the back balcony. Not too far of a drive to Mammoth Cave and Bowling Green.
Very cozy place. It’s a very simple place, but great place to spend time with your family. The deck that faces the lake was my favorite place to hangout. Already talking about going and staying there again.
