"Our Carnelian Bay cabin is a treasured family spot. Its central location between Tahoe City and King's Beach provides easy access to all of the North Shore ski resorts and beaches and is steps away from the paved trail system. The cabin sleeps 8 people in 3 bedrooms (one king, one queen and two sets of bunks) and is classic Tahoe, but also fully remodeled with a granite kitchen and slate and tile bathrooms. The cabin has a central, hanging fireplace in the large main room to keep everyone cozy as well as a game table and dartboard. The cabin is also fully stocked with board games, snowshoes, sleds, beach chairs/towels, etc. It is located in a quiet neighborhood with a large corner lot, plenty of room to build snowmen and sled runs. When inside, enjoy a Smart TV and WiFi. The large back deck has seating and a Weber grill for use. We hope you enjoy staying in one of our favorite places!"

Loved the game table area and all the extra supplies provided. Would have loved to use the fireplace since it’s so unique but was summer so no need. Would be great during the winter!
Unique fireplace in the Great Room makes this place
In winter, having a wood-burning fireplace right in the center of the living room, viewable from all angles is really special. Plus, it heats the upstairs so nicely.
We loved the game table with nice chess set, custom Jenga game (large), and dartboard.
The kitchen is quite well-equipped (crockpot, keureg AND a drip coffee maker, blender, hand mixer) and has lots of decent dishes.
Having a gorgeous forest with trails just 3 blocks away to walk the dog or go for "hikes" was a huge bonus.
A little caution though: although the cabin technically will sleep 8, to be comfortable, it would be better if only 1/2 of those were adults. The bunk room is really small and has little room for luggage and top bunks are best suited for smaller, agile individuals.
The owner was really responsive and congenial to work with.
I stayed here with my family over the Christmas holiday and had an amazing time. The cabin is located on a quiet street close to walking trails. The cabin was fully loaded with literally everything you would ever need. The owners were so easy to talk to and answered any questions. I can’t wait to book here again!
We had a wonderful stay over the Thanksgiving holiday with our family. The cabin is well equipped and in a great location with the lake and hiking close by. We hope to visit again!
We had planned to be in Lake Tahoe the week between Christmas and NYE, but with the massive storms and road closures, we had to delay our departure. The owners went above and beyond to make sure the house could be cleaned and the roads and driveway plowed before our arrival — while they were away on vacation.
The cabin is cozy with updated bathrooms and kitchen. And it retains that vintage Tahoe look and feel. The fireplace is wonderful and it elevated our evenings making dinner, playing games, and chatting!
We would definitely stay here again.
My family & I celebrated our Thanksgiving in this property and we had a great stay! It was difficult to find a property that allowed pets & we couldn’t leave our dog behind for the holidays, so this place was perfect! The house was fully stocked with all the necessities you may need, plus more! The house also provided numerous board games which we used to our advantage for three straight days. The kids enjoyed the balcony, the darts, and the extra table to play chess/card games. We loved the back patio as well. Check in/check out time gave us enough time to bring all our things in without it getting too dark/cold outside as well as enough time to cook breakfast/clean during check out. The bedrooms could have been a little cleaner as there was a minor musty scent and looked as if the bed spread haven’t been used for a while but we brought our own blankets/sheets & we just opened the windows to air out the smell so it was okay. You can also hear creaks whenever someone is walking upstairs which we just associated with the cabin being old. Another minor issue was the shower downstairs drained slowly and accumulated water. The fireplace in the center of the living room was perfect to keep everyone warm while we ate dinner, watch tv and/or play family games while making s’mores. The owners gave clear instructions how to get everything to work. They also responded right away after we let them know we were checking out. We can’t wait to go back when it starts snowing! We recommend this place. Thank you :)
