We really enjoyed staying at this place. The place was well stocked with linens and utensils. The outdoor view was spectacular! Nothing like having morning coffee overlooking the Bay. We enjoyed using the Kayaks. Overall, this was a great stay!
Great location for a peaceful getaway !!! Matt was a very attentive host and made extra effort to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. Would definitely stay again !!!
Beautiful views from the private little beach. It was fun watching the ships in the bay. It feels secluded even though you are close to everything. Bama Bob's BBQ is fabulous and very nearby. The beds are comfortable and the house is nicely equipped.
We were in town for a graduation. This place was amazing! Everyone who visited us for the graduation party commented on the cleanliness and the outside.!
This house provides a wonderful retreat.
It’s quiet and peaceful with gorgeous vies of the Bay, but only 20 minutes to downtown Mobile. Sun rises and sun sets.
We loved our stay.
I had my doubts when driving down the driveway. But the property did not disappoint. The privacy was the best part. The Oceans in your back yard, crashing waves, while swinging under huge oak trees. I highly recommend if your seeking quiet serenity. All activities a short drive away.
Highly recommend

Lovely peace and quiet
The setting was beautiful - lots of birds for us to enjoy. The house was comfortable but lacked small touches that might make it more inviting to visitors. It also needs some repair particularly in the master bathroom. Overall we enjoyed “coming home” to the property after a day of exploring in the Mobile area.
So glad we choose this home for my recent visit to Mobile. Matt is easy to communicate with and the property is peaceful and better than I expected. The bed is super comfortable and home was clean, neat and organized. I will stay here again for sure. Thank you Matt for sharing your home with me! I look forward to my next visit. Marsha
The property is just as it looks. It is peaceful, relaxing and serene. It’s very private. There are neighbors but you are separated by tree line and honestly never see or hear them. The sitting area that over looks the beach is amazing. We loved sitting out there with a glass of wine, taking in the breeze and relaxing. The property is very clean, and the beds are so comfortable! We didn’t have any complaints. Only thing I suggest is making sure you bring all of your bath supplies. (Soap, shampoo, etc.) there were none complimentary available. I always bring my own, but I know some people depend on the idea that there maybe some available.
This property is great for a couple or a family with kids. Convenient location and beautiful view from the back porch. The living area was spacious, and the main bedroom was large with good views, en suite bathroom, and well-lit dressing area. The 2 smaller bedrooms were not impressive, particularly the smallest one that was dark and had no access to outdoor light. The pantry and kitchen were well-equipped. The home could use some small improvements, particularly the kitchen linens and painted areas outside.
We loved staying here. Although it was winter, the evergreen oaks, grass, flowering bushes and large semi-tropical greenery were still green and quite plush. The house has wonderful views of the bay through large well-placed windows. The manager/owner replied quickly to every communication. The location is convenient to both the downtown/midtown area as well as to Dauphin Island and Bellingrath Gardens area. We also visited family in West Mobile. We only heard a few voices once from the Yacht club next door (separated by some woods) but otherwise we felt totally alone in this quiet place and did not hear or see other neighbors as there are plenty of trees. The only caution I have is that, per the listing, it is not child-friendly unless you block the stairway from little climbers. The stairway and office loft have large open bars that are great for unobstructed views but are not safe for children. We highly recommend this place and hope to return.
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It is right on the bay so you have a stretch of beach that you can enjoy. My 9 year-old had a blast checking out jellyfish washed ashore, pieces of driftwood with barnacles, shells and the yard turtle. Even a dead fish was fascinating. We had a small fire on the beach one night (wear bug repellent, trust me!) and made s'mores. The view is magical at night with the lights over the chairs on or with the lights all out and just the lights lining the bay and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. It was equally amazing during the day. I did as a previous guest suggested and watched the sunrise and it was breathtaking. We tried the kayaks (fun even if you're old). The property is centrally located to Mobile and the USS Alabama which was why we came, everything else above was just frosting on top. Beds and big couch are comfy. Bring your own toiletries. I'd only have one small complaint-the pocket door on the upstairs bathroom that goes into the toilet and shower is very difficult to open and close and it's one door that, well, you generally want to close. I don't know if we'll make it back to Mobile but I wold definitely stay here again. My youngest has already asked if we'll ever go back.
A long drive curves through coastal forest and then opens up to a stunning view of the house and the bay. We enjoyed our visits to Bellingrath Gardens and to downtown Mobile - each of them an easy drive from the house - but the truth is that if we had never left the property we would have had a marvelous time. We spent hours and hours sitting in the Adirondack chairs, sipping cocktails and visiting with our friends under the live oaks with the bay lapping at the shore fifty feet away. The bay took on different moods at different times of day. At sunrise the whole bay sparkles. Moonrise casts a glowing path from the moon all the way to the shore. On still afternoons the water is smooth as glass. We had one windy day with a breeze strong enough that you had to lean into it, and there were two foot swells. Sailboats close to shore and the occasional ocean going freighter out in the channel.
The floor to ceiling windows in the living room look out over the same view, and the wrap around leather couch was great- plenty of room for four folks to sprawl out on.
The galley kitchen was well equipped. The upstairs shower had a fantastic shower head, which was set high enough in the wall that I didn’t have to duck or stoop. (I’m 6-5”, so that was a rare delight.)
We look forward to coming again and trying out the kayaks when the weather is warmer. We’ve already recommended the place to our friends.
