*NEW* The Blue Cottage at Massanutten Resort in the Shenandoah Valley near JMU

Relax in this peaceful and serene space in the wonderful area of Massanutten.
The home is a two-story cottage with a large backyard that overlooks the woods for a tranquil and pleasant stay.
The cottage is located inside the community of Massanutten Resort. The resort is a four season resort offering amenities such as skiing, snow/grass tubing, ice skating, two golf courses, indoor/outdoor water park, mountain biking, zip lining, putt-putt, go-carts, tennis, swimming, fishing and more!
The space
A cosy 3 bed-2 bath two-story home. Two of the bedrooms have queen size beds and the third bedroom has a twin bed and twin bunk beds. Upper level has one bedroom and one bath, lower level has the master bedroom, the bedroom with the bunk beds, a bathroom and laundry room. Both levels have patios with rocking chairs to enjoy the beautiful view in the backyard.
Guest access
Please park at the top of the driveway. There are two graveled spots that belong to the house. If more than 2 vehicles, you can park on the street, making sure you are not blocking any driveways or fire hydrants. Our driveway is steep and narrow, so we suggest that all our guests park at the top of the house and carefully take the stairs down. If you must park in the driveway, we suggest you back up slowly into the driveway and carefully park on the flatter surface.

Mountain getaway

We took a little mountain getaway. Jose was as shown in photos, tidy and comfortable. Plenty of room for the 4 of us to all hang out in the living room and watch movies.

Home away from home

Everything was as stated on the website. Very spacious and homelike. Kitchen utensils and cookware was A-1. House was very clean and easy to access. Will definitely stay again.

Beautiful place in the mountains!

We enjoyed our mountain getaway! The place was clean and wonderfully nestled in the woods! If you're looking to hike, make sure you check to make sure trails are open--we didn't know Massanutten closed the trails on the mountain for a long hunting season end of Oct--beginning of Jan in 2023/24.

Broken Circuits

Overall the house was nice and clean. There needs to be some general upkeep, such as some of the the circuits not working and breaker would not reset. Ie no microwave or outside/dining lights. For the money I was charged, that all should have been in working order upon arrival.Communication with the owner was good, she offered a handyman to fix, but this is a problem requires a certified electrician. We don’t want workers coming and going while we are trying to be on vacation.

Nice place, good location

I have no complaints at all with the host or check in process. We enjoyed the fire pit and porches. The only thing I would be aware of is that there is no air conditioning except in the primary bedroom. As a result it felt as you would expect with the current weather. In the wintertime or cooler fall season you should be fine. There is a big fan but it circulates existing air and the fans in the bedroom s did help. Otherwise, nice place, lots of room to spread out and nice kitchen.

Perfect JMU Weekend Cottage

It was our daughter’s graduation from JMU with family visiting from out of the area. This house was the perfect size with all the necessary amenities (the outside games & Pac-man were an added plus!) to make us comfortable as we celebrated this momentous occasion. Thank you for opening your home to us., we loved it
