I needed a place to crash near Glenwood Springs and this fit the need perfectly!! Weird not having a window, but I got over it.

Liked: Location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in, communication
Slight disappointment but grateful none the less.
Loved the themes, VERY original, very grateful to have a place to stay near my folks house.
That being said; I was disappointed because an earlier email said I would get information the night before our stay; I didn’t get it. I messaged the property owner via VRBO app.
The app was glitching saying I had a past due payment so I was assuming I wasn’t getting the room.
It wasn’t till 10:30 the day of our trip that I got communication.
The reason I’m somewhat raw about this is because I figured I wasn’t getting this room and I booked a hotel in town and after finally getting communication from the VRBO owner I canceled the hotel reservation and resulted in a partial refund (loss of $130) which could have been avoided had we had the communication as expected before our trip out there.
Furthermore the windowless room and size had my spouse very uncomfortable/claustrophobic and wishing we hadn’t canceled the hotel.
-Hairs on the bed
-pillows need washed
The dog/owner in the ‘Winterfel’ room needs to respect quiet hours as it was another disappointment.
Communication from the time we made the reservation and throughout our stay was amazing. Corri and John were amazing at making sure we were happy with our stay. The check in process was easy and the property was always clean. The housekeepers were so friendly and did a great job day to day. Merlins Bunkhouse is small as they have listed BUT it was perfect for 2 best friends just getting away. The bathroom is right next to the room but you have a key. It really is easy peasy. The room did get hot if you didnt run the a/c in there BUT you dont have to run it all the time. It cools quick. We will be back and cant wait to explorer the other rooms they offer!
Staying at the Ore House Inn-Merlin’s Bunkhouse was so relaxing. The room was quiet, comfortable and cozy. Nice large bathroom. I will definitely book another stay in the near future! Thank you to the hosts!
John was easy to communicate with and very accommodating. He had some great suggestions for activities for my son and I to do with some extra time we had in our hands! Highly recommended!!!
This place is super charming. The Harry Potter theme is well done. The bathroom is right next door and is spacious and modern. They even provide HP bath robes. The sleeping room is a tight fit—no room for luggage. No windows, so it feels a bit stifling especially considering there’s no central air. The stand alone A/C unit produced more heat off the 8 feet of vent pipe that snaked from the unit through the ceiling than cool air out the front. We finally turned it off and left room door open to public hallway trying to cool room off. It never dropped below 80 degrees which meant it was a miserable night’s sleep with two weary kiddos. Wish there would have been a fan we could have put in doorway or something. This might be a fun place to stay in the winter, but it’s a solid NO in the summer.
