Beautiful House- Perfect Stay!!

The house is beautiful, clean and provided everything we needed! The screened in porch is a peaceful place to relax and enjoy coffee or recover after a long hike. The neighborhood is quiet and and a perfect location between Highlands and Cashiers. We will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Highlands Home

This home was all it was advertised to be and more. It was clean, functional, and had all the comforts of home. The owner was welcoming from the beginning and was quick to respond to any question. Check in was easy and the home was a beautiful and relaxing getaway. I would recommend this property to anyone and will hopefully stay there again the next time we visit.

Perfect Getaway!

We had such a wonderful weekend at this property! It was conveniently located not too far outside of downtown Highlands with easy access to Cashiers as well. The property was well maintained and the house very clean and well stocked with all the thoughtful essentials and comforts. Our children loved the zip line, hot tub and fire pit. We'll be back!

Fantastic stay

The property was better than we had hoped. It has everything as described. Beautiful home, yard and outdoor deck with hot tub. Everything we needed in the kitchen. Plenty of towels and useful amenities. It was a perfect location for a little privacy, but still close to everything we wanted to do. The owner was very kind and quick to respond to questions. We highly recommend!

One of the best!

Absolutely one of the best properties I have ever rented in Highlands. The house was immaculate, light switches were labeled, beds were very comfortable, property itself was very private with a great yard. We spent a lot of time on the screened in porch which had a fire table that was perfect for the cool weather. We will definitely book again, no question about it. Many thanks to the owners for making this home available.

Girls’ Getaway Week

Our weather was rainy but fortunately our house was perfect! We could still get in the hot tub or enjoy the fire pit on the porch. We loved the extra little den with a table that was great for playing cards or dominoes. And the big round dining table was exactly what we needed to gather around to eat and visit! We found everything that we needed available and even over and beyond with a nice bottle of wine, and snacks, and bath products. Even towels for after the hot tub were included. It was an absolutely wonderful rental!

Highly Recommend!!

This was the perfect house in the perfect location for our family. Not only did the house have everything we needed, it was in the perfect location for the full schedule we had. We managed to hike all the trails and falls (6-7 total) in the 4 full days we were there. The house was located right between Cashiers and Highlands) so it made everything possible. At the end of the day, the kids would relax in the hot tub, while the grownups enjoyed time relaxing with a glass of wine on the porch. Also, super sweet touch of having a bottle of delicious wine to enjoy! This trip will leave us with so many memories.

Fall Stay

This is a very nice house for a small family get together in the mountains. It is equal distant between Cashiers and Highlands which was very nice. Only issue was the electronic key system for entry had not been programmed and we had to try and contact the owner. Only a slight inconvenience. The house was very clean and neat. Large kitchen and outstanding screened-in porch with a heater. The convenience to Highlands/Cashiers and restaurants as well as the convenience to the Whiteside Mountain Trail made this an excellent location for our family.

Exceptional!

We were in town for my sisters wedding so being close to downtown (4 miles) was important but we also wanted some privacy so opted for house vs hotel. Amazing yard and back covered porch which we loved for coffee, evening wine and then the hot tub was also fantastic and so clean. Erin was super responsive with everything we asked her about the town, house, etc. house is immaculate and stocked like home in every way (kitchen, extra blankets, pillows, bathroom soaps and shampoos, etc.). Beds are SO comfortable. I honestly can’t say enough about this rental. Also loved the separate tv room / den that could close off shutting door so almost another bedroom and hang out area for our teens. 10 out of 10 property!!

A beautiful mountain escape

We absolutely loved Erin's mountain cabin! The location is simply amazing. Minutes from hikes up the mountain with spectacular views as well as super close to the downtown area where you'll find cafes, bookstores (I love bookstores and one here is called Shakespeare and Co., which after talking to the owner I found out it's actually related to my favorite book store in the world--the famous Shakespeare and Co. bookstore in Paris...I believe the old owner was married to the owner of the Paris store), shopping, and a fantastic restaurant with amazing pizza (they use 00 flour) and lunch. Linens were clean, there were complimentary shampoos and soap, lots and lots of Keurig pods, and the master bed was so comfortable we had to ask Erin where she got it. There's an awesome firepit on the side of the house but our favorite spot was the back patio. The double doors open to a covered patio with high ceilings, a fireplace, and a big screen smart TV. We spent almost every minute we were at the property on that back porch! We even saw some bears in the woods from the patio. The whole place was super cozy and we would definitely return!

Incredible Home and Host

I can not say enough good things about this property and the host Erin. It was perfect my family. My son loved the zipline and ninja course in the back yard. The house was squeaky clean upon arrival. You can tell the host has small children because this house had everything you need and more! She had swim diapers, grocery bags for dirty diapers, games, and the list goes on. Kitchen was stocked with every utensil you would ever need. Grill was easy to use and cooked some excellent rib eyes. The hot tub was so relaxing after a long day of hiking, the jets are strong and the water got hot! We did a bonfire every night and Erin supplied plenty of wood. The beds are super comfortable. Aside from the property, Erin, as a host was wonderful. She answered any question I had promptly and with great detail. She was very helpful when It came to activities and restaurants around the area. She was very familier with the various hiking trails particularly that are good for small kids. Best host I've ever had! I could go on and on about this amazing property. Go check it out for yourself! We will 100% be back! Thank you, Erin!

About the host

Hosted by Erin Mosher

Host profile image
Our family lives in Atlanta, GA and we love to travel, the outdoors, and escaping our hectic work lives. Erin is originally from central North Carolina and Joe is from Wisconsin. Our two kids, a Bernedoodle and our cat keep us very busy.

Why they chose this property

Our family has loved Highlands and every family moment we've spent here for years. Each season from the mild summers to the snowy winters is special in it's own way. We purchased this home and made it a place for our family to love and enjoy and hope your family will love it just as much. It's centrally located to Highlands and Cashiers, has amazing hiking and privacy that you can't find in Downtown, but still so close that it allows for a true getaway. Our kids love just being outside, roasting s'mores, riding the zip-line, and playing in the hot tub. There is never a shortage of entertainment at the "Highlands house" as we call it.

What makes this property unique

Easy in and out access from Hwy 64 and a nice flat driveway and parking area.
