About this property
Cabin like setting on secluded wooded property 5 minutes from Caddo Lake
Here at the Hideaway you have your own private porch with outdoor table and chairs. Plus 2 recliner chairs. Your private entrance has a security digital lock that you get the code sent to you the morning of your arrival. There is an outside grilling area that is available for cooking your meals. Along with the smoker/charcoal grill there is a 2 burner Coleman propane stove for cooking too. Inside there is a microwave and toaster. For entertainment there is a 32" TV (only local channels available) and DVD player with a small assortment of DVD's to watch. Several of the movies were made right here at Caddo Lake. The bathroom is rather large and spacious and there are plenty of extra towels in the bathroom cabinet. Even though it is attached to the main structure it is totally secluded with its own private porch and entrance and you will have no contact with anyone if that's your preference. Everything here at the Hideaway is all yours and nobody else is around, just total privacy for you and yours! But we are nearby and available anytime if needed. The cabin is great for 2 adults but can accommodate a max of 3 persons. We recommend a minimum age of 13 for all cabin guests. For more info on all we have to offer can be found on our website. Please, visit caddolakehideaway.com for complete detailed information on our facility. There you will find many more photos as well as some videos. Most all questions can be answered by visiting our site. If after you read over all we have to offer and you still have any unanswered questions please contact us and we will be more than happy to assist you. Thank you, and we look forward to hosting you.

We enjoyed our stay here! Cabin was clean, comfortable, and convenient. Bill and Mary were exceptional hosts. The boat tour with Bill was informative and a wonderful way to spend time on the lake without having to worry about navigating the maze of passageway. Will certainly stay here again!
Everything went perfectly. Property was clean and as advertised. Quick drive to Caddo Lake State Park and other points along the lake.
It’s a pretty remote area, so it’s a bit of a drive to stores and restaurants though I did frequent a bait shop that doubles as a cafe along highway 43. 3F is the name, I believe. Details on local treasures available in the notebook in the cabin.
Highly recommend this property.
My wife and I had an incredible stay at this VRBO property! Right from the moment we walked in, we were impressed by how clean everything was—it felt like a true home away from home. The place is thoughtfully stocked with everything we could need, including a microwave, fridge, and even a small table where we enjoyed a few cozy meals.
One of the best highlights was the bed; it was wonderfully comfortable, making it easy to unwind after long days. The shower was another pleasant surprise, with a strong, refreshing water stream! And, of course, the location couldn’t have been more convenient. It’s not far from the lake marinas, so we had easy access to all the activities we planned.
We loved the peaceful, private feel of the property—it’s very quiet, which gave us the chance to truly relax. The covered parking was a bonus, especially when we wanted to keep the car cool during the day, and we enjoyed sipping coffee each morning on the charming porch. With everything considered, especially the budget-friendly price, this spot is a gem. We’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located, and affordable place to stay!
Great folks to rent from, place was very clean everything was in order. Mr Bill, took us out on a 3 hour caddo lake tour and he done a great job about the lake as well as the history of the lake. We will be coming back to stay here in the future. Great people Bill, Mary, thanks again for everything
We were looking for a cabin at the state park, but it was all booked. This gem was just as good and 1 mile away from the park. Clean and quiet, it couldn't have been any better than it was. Highly recommend!

Every detail was thought of in this cabin! The communication was top notch and when we forgot an item we were contacted and we were able to return to retrieve the left behind smartwatch. Thank you for a fantastic stay and beautiful surroundings.
This was a great place for my son and I to stay. Perfect proximity to Caddo Lake State Park. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Bill and Mary were excellent hosts, communication could not have been better. I would stay here again, and I would recommend it to others.
A perfect quiet hideaway spot. The cabin has everything needed. Perfect location close to the State Park, Jefferson and Marshall TX. One day we even drove to Shreveport LA. Mary and Bill are great hosts. Couldn't ask for more. This place is highly recommended. Thank you so much for having us again!
Perfect place to stay for my visit to Caddo Lake for a photography workshop. Comfy bed, awesome water pressure, spacious main room and bathroom and nice a quiet. Wish I would have had more time to spend on the lovely covered porch.

About the host
Hosted by Bill & Mary Hatcher
Hello, we're Mary & Bill your hosts here at the Hideaway. We live here on the opposite side of the property and so we are available most anytime to meet any needs or concerns you may have. The property is nearly an acre in size with lots of trees. Feel free to roam around the yard, swing on the swing in the back yard, have a fire in the fire ring out back, or sit on the porch watching the many birds and wildlife that live here.
Why they chose this property
We feel that everyone should experience Caddo Lake at least once in their life. It is amazing here. We do NOT have water front property but we are only about 5 minutes away from the public boat launch as well as the state park and wildlife refuge. We also like to offer this at the lowest possible cost so we are, to our knowledge, the lowest priced B&B around the lake. We offer private boat tours of the lake if interested.
What makes this property unique
Lowest priced B&B around the lake Just 5 minutes to the public boat ramp Just 5 minutes to Caddo Lake State Park Just 2 minutes to The National Wildlife Refuge Heavily wooded property When here you are the ONLY guests, it's totally private and secluded here 2 minutes to the local dollar general store Just 15 minutes to marshall or jefferson Only 45 minutes to the casinos Watch all the hummingbirds as they fly all around the porch Kayak and canoe rentals Private boat tours of the lake Grilling area has a sink with cold running water for convenient easy cleanup Free covered parking is available Fire ring out back with free firewood
