Highly recommend

We stayed in Dan's house for two nights, coming to the area for a college graduation. Everything about the house was easy and as promised, and Dan was quick to respond when I had a (minor) question. I recommend it without pause.

RUSTIC

This is a sanctuary type home with beautiful art throughout. Location was perfect for Rhinebeck event. A few things we were not expecting. We had to purchase a blow up mattress to be comfortable there was no Queen just 2 doubles. No TV is something that should be mentioned in description since it’s a staple for some people. The leak in the skylight should have been mentioned also since we moved the plant under it to sit together. It was musty smelling. We put new batteries in thermostat to fix it. The antique doors with no door knobs are quaint but made some of our party uncomfortable. Since it leaves a hole. The faucet in the shower was a challenge, there are reasons why there are no pictures of the shower. The whole place was in a state of disrepair. We made it work but would never stay here again very overpriced. the place was peaceful but to RUSTIC and musty.

Great layout, nice and private with good location. Kitchen very well equipped. House is very clean and welcoming. Bathroom door remains a bit open even when locked with the hook-and-eye latch, preventing full privacy.

Wonderful stay

This was a nice home in a very convenient location. We were in town for the NY Sheep and Wool Festival and also to see some Guilded Age homes. A perfect home base!

Beautiful retreat in the Hudson Valley

I stayed with a couple of friends for a reunion in the area. Super easy to get to. A beautiful retreat close to downtown Red Hook. Grocery store close by as well. Excellent communication and hospitality with Dan, the property owner. Lots of amenities (we loved being able to hook up our phone to play music). The home is light, airy, with beautiful photography and artwork. Super quiet, too. Only small suggestion would be to give a thorough dusting. Overall though, the kitchen and bathroom were very clean with everything you could need. I’ve stayed at other VRBOs where the towels were on their last use, so the fluffy towels here were a bonus! It’s definitely going on the VRBO list of where to stay in the area for future visits.
