Find beauty and relaxation among the treetops at this scenically situated studio on the shores of Worromontogus Lake just outside downtown Augusta.

This rustic, lakefront escape is one half (the second floor) of a two-level duplex, offering its own separate entrance from the downstairs portion (which may be occupied by other renters). Here on the banks of Togus Pond - as this 654-acre lake is known locally - it's not uncommon to spot bald eagles, geese, beavers, and turtles. It's also a certified wildlife habitat and an ideal home base for those looking to be convenient to Augusta on their way to or from Acadia National Park.

Ascend a flight of 16 stairs to be rewarded with gorgeous views of the lake on three sides, as well as a private balcony that feels like it's part of the tree canopy. Begin each morning with a paddle around the lake in the provided canoe, returning home to read on the lakeshore, breathe in the pine-scented air, or build a campfire in the shared fire pit. (Please note that the canoe and the firepit is shared with the property downstairs.) Back inside this 200-square-foot space, you'll find a minifridge and a microwave (but no full kitchen), a full bathroom, and recent updates that include air conditioning, free high-speed WiFi, and Roku TV is available for guest streaming with your account.

A perfect 3 days!

This was a perfect three days! If I could have spent all my time on the deck I would have. A beautiful view, a quiet relaxing spot with great accessibility to downtown Augusta. 15 minutes away from whatever you can need!

Was very nice but perhaps add a toaster oven or a hot plate so one can cook.

Smelled like smoke

Smoke smell so strong we had to leave and find alternate accommodations. Received no assistance or support from local time and still trying to receive full refund

This rental is very nice... clean and decorated with care... It was a bit tricky to see in the dark, but I managed...and could maybe use a bit more insulation to block sound from downstairs...but I'm not really complaining. It was good to have a nice place to settle after my long days out and about. I definitely appreciated the hot water kettle....just what I needed!!!

The property was great. The management not so much. You should not have to call Portland Oregon for an issue in Augusta Maine. Small but very nice place. Quiet and on a beautiful lake. Would go back.

Cozy and quiet

We stayed in the upper floor of the house. It was a bit cramped - basically like staying in a small hotel room - but with a nice balcony/deck and beautiful views and access to the pond via a dock and launch area for the canoe. There was a coffee maker, microwave and mini fridge, plus some basic dishes/utensils, but it isn't set up for cooking (including prep and clean up) any meals. The balcony was nice but could use a small table and it was very buggy. I would recommend the upper floor for either a short stay or as an add on to the bottom floor (which has a kitchen). The window A/C unit was key for sleeping during a hot week as it got stuffy on the second floor. We saw lots of wildlife and enjoyed the quiet. We would definitely stay again - maybe on the ground floor next time.
