38 km east from Kouvola, Ruokokoski/Väliväylä waters 250 m (length 5 km, width 300 m), shallow, gently sloping sandy bottom, own boat.

Wooden house 1993, kitchen, living room with sofa-bed, 2 bedrooms, one with two beds, another with double bed. Toilet, sauna, bathroom with shower and washing machine, veranda.

In summer use (May-September) lakeside sauna 5 m², built 2003, made of logs, sauna has wood-burning stove and water heater tank. Water must be carried from lake 25 m away. 250 m distance from the cottage along the trail to sauna building.

Old farm outbuildings in yard (are not in use), also outdoor toilet. Ground cellar. Mäkelän vierastalo is a spacious old farmhouse, located in the yard of owner's house, distance of 40 m.
Pleasant courtyard, berry bushes and rhubarb plant. Garden furniture and swing in summer months.

Air source heat pump. Travel cot and high chair are brought, if needed. Also a canoe and SUP-boards to rent.

A small pier by lake. Fine sandy beach, large lawn field, campfire site. Flowing waters, rapids approx. 1 km away, a good canoe route.

5 km long nature trail nearby, a lean-to Tolpankangas 5 km away, canoe trail, canoe rental, grocery shop 20 km, a bar (in summer) 1 km, restaurant 20 km. Taavetti / Luumäki 20 km, Utti ABC (gas station, restaurant, shop and pharmacy) 27 km, Tykkimäki (amusement park) 33 km, Repovesi National Park 50 km, Verla (Mill museum) 62 km, Lappeenranta 68 km.
