Great location and well maintained property. Nice deck. The kitchen was well stocked. The door was stuck on the outside shower. Other than that, great stay!
We loved our long weekend stay. You cannot beat the location. Very close to both beach accesses. The house was quaint and had everything we needed! Matt was a wonderful host and we hope to come back soon!
This three bedroom was perfect for our family. We choose it based on location and being dog-friendly. The property was clean and we enjoyed our stay.

Lacking cleanliness
We really loved the location of this property. The property needs many updates but I could over look that if the house was clean. Hair on the sheets, food and such on the carpets. The vinyl floors were very dirty. The owners response was he would tell the cleaners but no one came to fix the problem.
This charming 3 BR 2BA is perfect for our young grandchildren. The distance to beach was not too far for a wagon ride(which one was available but we took our own). April is perfect time to visit as weather was perfect. Plenty of towels, Kurig was a sweet surprise, and all the necessity appliances worked!
We really enjoyed staying at this house! We had plenty of space for my family to all be comfortable, plus an open area to all sit together in the living room and dining space. Middle of the week we had really bad storms, but the house held strong. It was a short walk to the beach access and the pier. The kiddos rode their bikes throughout the neighborhood and I felt quite safe about letting them do so. Overall, we had a wonderful time. i would defiantly consider renting this house again in the near future!

Filthy and Unsafe
This house is located in a great area. However it was filthy! Dirty linens and wasn’t even made. I had to get the laundry so we could have clean beds. Floors weren’t swept. The lust goes on with this. It was so uncomfortable because it was so dirty. There are wires exposed in the bottom where it is a sitting area. Also, open electrical on the wall. And the house shook when we walked. Kids included. Amenities included a coffee pot when it was actually an old Kerig. I had no pods and I suspected mold in the Kerig since that is known to happen in these. Had to go an hour to buy a coffee pot so list vacation time.

Ok
The house some serious upgrades for the price needs new or gently used furniture in den area. Springs are completely shot in couch and cushions on the back are ripped with stuffing coming out. Walls buckled and pieced together. The master bay is very tiny. Needs too much work to be done at that price.
We appreciate Matt addressing the mowing quickly. This property has potential, but is desperate for updates. Surprised that the central air was not working and we had window units. There was a strong storm with wind and the rain blew in on the side of the air conditioners in the bedrooms, soaking the curtains and edge of the beds. Curtain in the back left corner bedroom fell during the night and the mirror in the hallway bathroom fell at 2a…a little scary! Several rough spots with peeling on the walls. Carpet is very dated and worn in bedrooms. The living and Kitchen area saved the day! Comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well stocked. I think some tender loving care attention to the inside and outside would make this a very nice place. We did enjoy our visit and it was fine especially the amount of time we were actually in the house, iI would not rent again.
My sisters and I enjoyed our first trip to Oak Island. The home was beautiful and the view of the ocean from the front deck, while a little limited by the next row of houses was a wonderful! Just a very short walk to the beach.
The house was ok. Grass kneehigh. Advertised as having fenced in yard, it does not. Outside shower doesn't work. Entire place needs an upgrade. Definitely not worth the rental price.
My wife and I unexpectedly found ourselves with the same week off and only a month or so to find a rental property. The property owner was very accommodating and friendly. The property itself is located in a quiet area with the Island Way restaurant within walking distance.
We came to Oak Island at the last minute for a funeral and this property was exactly what we needed. We were a short walk from the beach but you can still hear the ocean on the front porch. The beds were very comfortable and the property manager was responsive. There were brand new pots and pans but the appliances need to be repaired/fixed. We would stay here again.
Loved the closeness of the pier. Would love to see pots and pans updated and cooking on stove top was hard cause burner didn't want to sit straight. I love to cook so was a little aggravating. Besides that, we had a wonderful week.

The house was fithy, full of white short hair, long hair on sheets, cost $72 and 24hrs to clean!
Matt was a good communicator but the property was misleading, dirty, laundry in outside building that was not clean, broken items in house, cockroaches or paletto bugs and spiders in house, have pics of everything on my phone, but great deck and view! Won't stay again, have found much cleaner on island!
This was a great experience, check in was so easy, place was clean! They supplied most if not all of your basic necessities! There was an outdoor shower, beach equipment( chairs, towel, sandboxes, a wagon). For a third row house, you had an ocean view from the dinning table, great for drinking coffee! The location was awesome, so close to the beach access! The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars from me, the primary bedroom is in need of a serious upgrade to the mattress, or maybe a mattress topper! My husband and I woke up sore most of the vacation, other than that no complaints!
