The cabin was a wonderful place to stay. There was nothing better than waking up in the morning and sitting by the fireplace! The property was everything it said it was going to be! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! Sally was also very prompt and helpful in responding and very accommodating for a late check in and early check out.
We were pleasantly surprised with the roominess of the cabin. We slept great, had wonderful coffee each morning and found everything to be above our standards which is saying a lot! Thank you to the owners for all the little details and for offering up this place… we hope to return soon.
I was shocked by how close we were to a train. Totally unexpected. Living in a house on the highway and across from a RR track, that’s not what I was hoping to listen to on my get away in the mountains.
The cabin itself, was beautiful.
Sally was a wonderful host. The cabin was so cozy and adorable. Having our coffee on the porch in the morning was the perfect way to start the day. I had never been to the area before so Sally made some nice suggestions. We stopped by Davey Crockett park which was a very interesting and very pretty stroll. Would definitely recommend staying here to anyone visiting the Limestone or Jonesborough area.

Sally is the warmest, most welcoming hostess you could ever want! This 150-year old cabin is a real treat! The beds are fabulous and the wood burning fireplace with a great stash of nearby wood is a joy on a cool autumn visit. I recommend it wholeheartedly!
We loved our stay here! It was close to many local attractions, and the hosts were kind and helpful. The place was pet friendly, and smelt like the rustic log cabin that it was without any lingering pet smells. Our dog felt at home here and so did we! We loved the rich history the place had and can't wait until we can return again.
The property is immaculate and gorgeous. Sally and Bill are so friendly and hospitable. The cabin is absolutely perfect if you want a beautiful place to relax. We will definitely be going back
Me, my wife and family loved the cabin. Beautiful place and a beautiful setting. Nothing but good things to say about the place. We stayed 9 nights and they were all amazing. Sally was an excellent hostess as well. We’ll definitely be back!
We had a wonderful and quiet stay at Jayne’s cabin. If we are ever back in the area, we would love to stay here again. It’s beautiful and quiet and Sally made sure we had everything we needed and more. Thank you!
Nice Cabin & Location to Eastern Tennessee Outdoors
Very nice cabin, we rented in this location to visit relatives and to hike / bike. Visited Asheville, hiked a section of the Appalachian Trail in Erwin. Johnson City & Greenville has nice restaurants & microbreweries
Beautiful historic property with amazing fireplace!
Perfect holiday getaway. Sally was available but we had all the privacy we wanted. Lovely cabin with a great xl tub! Stairs were a little tricky and I wouldn't recommend for small children or people with mobility issues. We loved it!!
We had a great stay at Sally’s place. We loved learning the history of the property. We visited Davy Crocketts birthplace, stopped at Troyers Marker, spent time in historic Jonesborough and attended a wedding at the Millstone. The cabin was conveniently located to everything and was stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Would recommend!
When you choose to stay in a historic house, you typically go in with an understanding that you’re trading some comfort for draftiness and quirks. This did not end up being the case with this stay! We were warm and cozy in the log cabin and appreciated the pops of bright artwork mingled with the historic nature of the property. Everything felt and looked aesthetically pleasing and well appointed, without being so precious that we didn’t feel comfortable or couldn’t relax.
We highly recommend, especially if you’re looking for an authentic Smokies experience away from crowds of tourists. We appreciated the proximity from Troyer’s, Davy Crockett’s birthplace, Horse Creek recreation area, and historic Jonesborough.
Location and cabin was amazing. We were able to relax and unwind. Everything we needed and wanted was within 15 minutes. The cabin was perfect and allowed us exactly what we needed. Time for us. Thank you Sally.
If you are looking for a real log cabin this is what you want. It has been renovated and has most of the modern conveniences you’re used to, but retains the old time charm. We spent a week here and didn’t have any issues. It’s in a rural area that is a perfect country getaway. Sally is very friendly and responded promptly to our questions
Loved the cabin. Large bedroom. Home owner nearby if you have any issues but not in your business. We had 2 small dogs and they had fun with large yard. The only issue with the property is a low ceiling coming down the steps. You must duck with 1 beam. Still an excellent property.
Our stay at this delightful historic cabin was so relaxing and enjoyable. If you love a bit of history, this cabin has preserved touches of the past that was so nice to see! Our hostess Sally was absolutely wonderful and made sure the cabin had all the comforts of home!! We truly enjoyed our stay & look forward to returning again!
We had a great time. It was awesome waking up to the turkeys in the morning in the backyard. The cabin was lovely and what a way to enjoy a few days away. Sally was wonderful also.
The week spent at this charming property was perfect! The host was on site and available to answer questions and make recommendations! She shared the unique history of the property and was more than accommodating. The cabin itself is what you hope for when planning your mountain vacation…lots of charm inside and out with all the amenities you’d expect at an upscale resort! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
