About this property
Grand home near downtown Asheville
Located in the historic Montford neighborhood, a few blocks from downtown Asheville, this updated home has tons of character including restored hardwood floors, wood paneling in the dining area, and high ceilings on the first floor.
Home office/Library: Work remotely or relax in the home's beautiful, light-filled library with rolling ladder and french doors. The large table desk provides office chairs and working space for two.
Technology: Motorized artwork in the living room conceals the flat screen TV when not in use. The TV is connected to an Apple TV with streaming apps like Netflix. Enjoy music on the Sonos sound system.
Bedrooms/Bathrooms: The downstairs bedroom contains two twin beds, a reading chair, and a desk. A full bathroom is located in the adjacent hall. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen bed, a desk, and a master bathroom with walk-in closet. A second upstairs bedroom has two twin beds and a reading chair, while a third upstairs bedroom has a day bed and reading chair. These two bathrooms share a bathroom with a clawfoot tub.
Bonus Room: The carpeted third-floor bonus room is a great play area for children, stocked with games, toys, and art supplies. There are additional sleeping options in this room: a double bed, a single bed in the window dormer, and a fold-out futon.
Outdoor spaces: The house is beautifully landscaped and sits high above street level on an elevated lot. Enjoy drinks on the wraparound front porch or open the french doors to enjoy dinner on the dining room porch or on the patio.
Laundry: The laundry area is located in the daylight basement which is accessed from the dining area.
Please note that the gas fireplace in the living room is disconnected and is decorative only.
This is the primary residence for our family of four. We like to travel for a month or two at a time (we work from home and home-school our children) and we make our home available when we do. The house offers plenty of spaces to work and play with enough room for everyone to spread out. As a primary residence, the home is well-stocked with everything you need for an extended stay.

NOTE: Due to city ordinances, only monthly rentals are allowed.
