Beautiful 400 square foot cabin with a queen bed , sleeper sofa and double bed in the loft. There is a tv with cable, wifi, microwave, and a desk. Great location less than 3 miles from Crystal Mountain, a few hundred feet to the snowmobile trails, and directly across from the 231 Bar and Rosie's diner.

The cabin was charming and clean! It was a super easy check in and check out. Even though it was close to a busy road, we enjoyed a quiet stay. We didn’t notice any traffic noise until well into the morning hours. It was centrally located to get to all main attractions easily and quickly. We will be back!
My partner and I needed a nice and affordable place to stay for a night and this was the perfect spot. Close enough to Traverse City, but in a small town area with the cutest diner across the street. Traffic was not loud, the cabin was very clean, and check-in was one of the easiest ever. Great gem!

We had an amazing time. It was clean and cozy. The kids really loved it. Only downside was the water had a high iron smell it was close by to a lot of other places as well. Would definitely rebook here!
Great location. Easy to find. Worked perfectly for a place to stay after a concert at Interlochen. Rosie’s across the road is an awesome place for breakfast.

Very nice cabin
Overall, great little place. Cabin itself was perfect. Right off a main road so there is some road noise, but didn’t bother us. Only issue we had was trying to communicate with property manager, who never responded after 3 attempts. Pillows could be replaced and would be helpful to have shower soap, but not a show stopper. Great little place across the main road for breakfast (Rosie’s).
Quaint Cottage Perfect for Crystal Mtn/Caberfae Ski Weekend
Comfy, quaint cottage, better than a hotel room! Was clean and just as pictured. Worked out great for ski weekend for me and my teen. Can see Crystal Mtn from property. 35 mins from Caberfae Peaks. Microwave, refrigerator and Keurig offered meal flexibility. Coffee, sugar, creamers, and disposable cups supplied. The owner, Jacob, was communicative and responsive.
Some things to consider: cabin backs to M-115 so can hear road noise. Traffic at night was very minimal. Sleeping loft does not have any electrical outlets, meaning no lights or way to charge phone. If you intend to use refrigerator may wish to give owner heads up so he can have it plugged in upon arrival.
All in all, would definitely stay at The Oaks cabin again.

Great location just minutes from Crystal Mountain. The cabin is really clean and well kept.
Great central location & very cute rustic feel with all of your basic needs. Small dorm fridge that keeps VERY cold, actually to the point of freezing, you may want to turn it down if you have lunch meat and/or salads. If you have more than 2 or 3 people, or staying longer than a night or two, I’d suggest you bring a cooler for extra cold water/drink space. Microwave, & a small 5 cup coffee pot. Coffee is provided in pre-packaged filter bags & you’re not picky, it’s fine. If you’re like me, I need a nice strong black cup (or 3) before anyone looks at me/speaks to me, so i’ll know next time we visit to bring filters & coffee grounds lol. Surprisingly good shower pressure, which is nice considering well water (which I also have at my own home, & do not have great pressure!) The loft is STEEP to climb, but it’s great for your little dare devil kids or adults. Just beware that the very top step has a wider area that sticks out a bit & it’s hard to see because all the wood blends together. My 9 hear old bashed the top of his head on it the first time climbing up- OUCH! Once you know it’s there, you’ll be sure to watch out for it- so here’s your “heads up”! 😅 Honestly the perfect little getaway for a small family trip. Very central to just about anything you’d want to do. Hiking, close to Crystal Mountain, Crystal Lake, Canoe rentals, Rivers, Fishing, 20/25 minutes to Frankfort Beach, Point Betsie light house, Manistee, etc. Jacob is easy to get ahold of & very accommodating! A++
We really enjoyed our stay here. We were on the beach in Frankfort most of the time and used it as a base for sleeping and relaxing. Bed was comfy, bathroom was spacious. Great communication from owner.
Good place to sleep and shower after hiking the Sleeping Bear Dunes. The cabin has everything you need but could use some brighter light bulbs and the vanity above the sink doesn’t work. Hard to shave when you can’t see. Good stay in a central location at the price I wanted. Thanks
This cabin was very clean. The location was so convenient, just set back from the corner near 231 Bar and Grill and Rosie's Country Cafe (both of which are worth going to). The owner was easy to contact and responsive. I would recommend Oak Cabin. We enjoyed our stay.
The Oak cabin was just what we needed on cold spring nights to be comfortable and mobile.
The cabin is just that. It's an actual log cabin, which is awesome for a guys fishing weekend. It gives you the feeling of the great outdoors with the comfort of heat, comfy beds and running water.
The amenities were great. They have an awesome picnic area with pavilion and charcoal grills.
We ate at the bar across the street one night for dinner. There is also a breakfast and lunch Cafe across the road.
Check in and check out couldn't have been easier and the host, Jacob, answered my questions very promptly.
Overall great experience!
Nice cabin, fun place for the kids to sleep up in the loft. Close to Crystal mountain skiing and golf and a number of northern Michigan hot spots. Had a great time, likely will come back
The communication with the owner was great. Very easy check in. The cabin was super cozy and our two kids loved the loft. The place was clean and stocked. The cabin is walking distance to a great restaurant for dinner (231 Bar) and a great breakfast diner (Rosie’s). We would highly recommend and definitely return.
Great place to stay! Cabin was very clean and inviting. Property was very well kept and spacious. Fun things to do like fire pits and horseshoes had us entertained I to the night. Jacob was very accommodating and in constant communication, making sure our trip was perfect.
Thank you.
