Disappointing
Tom was responsive. Otherwise I would have rated a 0. Many things were resolved during our stay. With our effort. Many issues were open when we left:
• No dish soap, toweling, napkins, salt, etc. We had 3 rolls of TP upon arrival forcing us to shop immediately
• Wi-Fi was out. I had to buy a new router. After multiple calls/texts with Tom we had wi-fi the next day
• Doors, walls and tables were dirty
• Backyard was uncut, full of debris and so full of dog droppings that the service Tom sent over picked up 2 half-full garbage bags
• We arrived to find the front door unlocked and left open. For four days we left the place unlocked until this was fixed
• Blinds in 3 rooms were trashed
• Kitchen floor laminate could cut a person’s bare foot
• Shower hooks pulled free from walls and 2 ceiling vents hung free
• House had no rugs. Found them in the storage room put away full of dog hair
• Sunroom furniture cushions did not have covers. Just bare cushions
• Broken fridge shelf and ice maker didn’t work
• One toilet was unusable. Plumber indicated a root issue that occurs a few times a year because the actual problem goes unfixed
It appears person before was a regular renter. When they left, their stuff was boxed up, some cleaning occurred, but no one visited to inspect prior to our arrival. If Tom lived in Florida rather than managing this property from afar things could have been very different. Tom was responsive, but I did not pay for a month’s stay to be a handy man
