We booked this stay last minute, due to a death in the family. Jonie was extremely understanding and accommodating. The host’s kindness was truly a blessing in our family’s time of need. Highly recommend this rental. Very spacious and lots of room for everyone to comfortably spread out. Also, a very safe area and close to everything
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is wonderful. It is an older home, but that is what makes the experience better. When we head back to Franklin, we’ll look to stay there again.
This was a great house for our large extended family gathering for a memorial service nearby. Convenient, lots of room and the air conditioned bedrooms were perfect. Thanks!
My family is all from the area and wanted a local town feel while visiting. We had a great experience overall walking downtown, enjoying the bike trail, views of the river, and such beautiful accommodations for our family visits!
This is a unique historic mansion with plenty of room and a large open-space kitchen, where we spent most of our time. There are plenty of towels and paper products for our use, comfortable beds, and a great location. This is our second stay as vendors at the annual Franklin May Mart. I love that the house is pet-friendly and has the bonus of a fenced-in yard.
A spacious, unique and interesting older mansion. A nice river view from the back porch.
Excellent location for accessing the bike trails. Walking distance to downtown restaurants.
The house is beautiful. If you have ever wondered what an old Victorian house looks like then this is for you. There is wifi, but it is spotty. There is lots of room and interesting photos on the walls. My problem is with the overwhelming fragrance that was sprayed on all the furniture and the fragrance in all the linens. If you don't have allergies then that won't be a problem.
The property overall was great for the purpose of my family to gather. It was large enough to host a Thanksgiving gathering. The property was clean and in orderly fashion when we arrived. The property manager was within a text or phone call away and answered a few questions I had.
I was told the kitchen stove was a little finicky but I had no issues with it.
Some of the chairs for the tables were a little unstable. The bedrooms were set up nicely and the beds were very comfortable. The linens were very well stocked.
The kitchen could have had more pots, baking pans and serving bowls.
My sisters and mom stayed while celebrating our grandmother's 90th bday. This big beautiful home is like staying in a museum with family photos and treasures throughout the home. Window a/c kept us perfectly comfortable but the weather was nice enough to sit on the deck, watch the river, and play games. Home was very clean and there was plenty of hot water for our showers. The dog loved the fenced in yard as well. Prepare for stairs as all bedrooms are up. Jonie was very responsive throughout the process and Ryan next door stopped over to make sure we had all our needs met. The home is a short walk into town where we sat in the park, went to the farmers market, stopped at the coffee shop, etc. We would definitely recommend this home and would stay here again.
This is an old family home. We had a great time, but there were a few small issues. The fuse blew to the hot water tank, so we took luke warm showers. Also, there was a bat in the house late one night. 😳 If you are looking for nice, but spooky, We suggest this home.
Convenient to downtown. This house has great space for multiple people to feel comfortable. Kitchen is a good open space with a great river view. We will stay again!

Why they chose this property
During the summer months we can help you schedule canoe, kayak and bike rentals. You can easily walk to the park and town including bars and restaurants. Very safe area. 3 of the bedrooms are now equipped with window A/C units for your comfort! Due to Covid-19 no parties or gatherings all allowed.
Guest access Guests will have access to the main home areas on the 1st and 2nd floors except for a small apartment off the side of the home which has it's own private entrance and is locked and blocked from the main home area. We ask that guests do not access the basement or 3rd floor of the home.
Other things to note There is a large fenced in yard at the back of the home and small to medium dogs are welcome! We just ask that you let us know your furry friends will be with you so we are not surprised.
We have added a comfortable single pull out bed in the "Music Room" downstairs for the convenience of our guests that may have trouble with the stairs.
We ask that you please be respectful and honest about the number of quests that will be staying at the house, the co-hosts live right next door and will know if you book for 2 and have 8. We don't want to have to send an additional bill for extra guests or cleaning. Additional bedrooms does create a good bit of extra work. We will do our best to make sure you have a great stay and we just ask that you start the trip off with honesty.
