Located in Zona Romantica, this beachfront property is considered one of the areas best-managed buildings, offering high-speed Wifi, a rooftop pool with BBQ, a beach-front restaurant, 6-day a week maid service and 24/7 security.

Located on the 6th floor and facing directly toward the bay, Casa McMullen is designed with a classically clean and artistic Mexican style. Condos of this quality are rarely found on the rental market, but we love sharing our home with others. You will be right on the beach with restaurants, shops, galleries and nightlife within just a few blocks of your front door. Both the living room and master bedroom open onto a large terrace with breathtaking unobstructed ocean views.

The 1,450 sq ft. open floor plan includes two bedrooms (one king/one convertible to king or two twins), two exquisite ensuite bathrooms, a dining room, living room, an office/library and fully-equipped kitchen. Casa McMullen has two air-conditioners, ceiling fans, a phone and cable TV which features a range of English-language stations.

Our ideal location of allows you to be as active or relaxed as you want. Among the many activities offered within minutes of your doorstep are whale and dolphin watching (often from the balcony), canopy tours, fishing, horseback riding, snorkeling, shopping, fine dining, art galleries and massages.

There is no need for rental cars. Downtown Puerto Vallarta is a five minute walk along beautiful Malecon (waterfront walkway), and the bus service is both fun and easy. Cab/Uber prices are usually $5-$8 for rides just about anywhere. Our location features dozens of restaurants to fit all tastes and budgets within just a few minutes' walk.

Located right on Los Muertos Beach in the charming neighborhood known as Old Town or Zona Romantica, Vista del Sol is widely considered one of the finest and best managed properties in all of Puerto Vallerta. The building features 24 hour front desk service, a large roof top pool and a beach-front restaurant. Washer and dryer facilities are located in the building for your personal use and there is a well-priced wash and fold service within two blocks of our property.

Note: Between June and Sept, Vista del Sol permits condo owners to schedule remodeling work to be done between 9 am and 5 pm, with louder work allowed between 10 am and 2 pm. While disruptions rarely occur near our unit, this is not something we can control.

Best View Ever

This is the best place I have stayed at in PV. Right on the beach with view of the ocean. Perfect location for walking to the romantic zone area and the central town area. Kitchen is well equipped and the beds are comfortable. The only inconvenience is that there are no washers or dryers in the units. They are in the basement and shared by all. You are given a key for the room and pay 75 pesos per hour until returning the key. Melinda was very responsive and friendly.

Wonderful property in an ideal location

My wife and I just finished a 6 night stay in this property. First and foremost, the property is in an ideal location overlooking the ocean and the malecon and within easy walking distance to the Romantica district which is the most vibrant area of Puerto Vallarta. The condo is well equipped and the complex has pool and barbecue facilities included. Great vacation condo.

Family trip to Puerto Vallarta

Myself, husband, and two son (20&16) had a great time at Casa McMullen. The location was perfect for exploring Puerto Vallarta, and we enjoyed walking around and trying new foods. The apartment was clean and had a well-stocked kitchen, allowing us to make some meals at home. The staff were warm and inviting, and we felt welcome throughout our stay. We hope to visit again soon.

Absolutely Wonderful!!

My wife and I stayed at Casa McMullen. This was our first trip to Puerto Vallarta and it was absolutely awesome! The cleaning lady was very nice and does a very good job of cleaning the condo unit. You really don’t need a car, everything is within walking range or you can grab an Uber fairly cheaply. I really appreciated that there was beach stuff, an umbrella, chairs and a cooler. We were able to go right out downstairs and be right there at the beach. The condo staff was all very friendly. We had an awesome time staying here and I would absolutely recommend Casa McMullen to anyone looking to come to PV!

Casa McMullen was a spectacular home away from home for our family! About the Host: Melinda was easy to communicate with and was proactive about ensuring we were aware that the pool would be closed during our stay. We did not have any issues during our stay but had confidence that the front desk staff or Melinda would have assisted without delay. About the Condo: It overlooks the Malecon and offers stunning views of Banderas Bay. You can walk to everything from this prime location in the Romantica Zone of Puerto Vallarta. The condo was comfortably appointed and well stocked with kitchen and bathroom necessities. It was nice to find a few beach chairs and a beach umbrella available in the guest bedroom closet. On our next trip to PV, we’ll definitely see if this condo is available again!

Location, location, location!!! This is our 5th visit to PV and Casa McMullen is the best location. The condo suited our needs in every way. The ocean view/sunsets spectacular. Just what we needed

Location, location, location! Best sunsets from patio, draped with the background of live saxophonist playing on the malecon....can it get any better? Great condo, with everything exactly as we anticipated from listing. Perfect for a group of 4 of us for a long week. Pro's included the views, great door staff to welcome and ensure safety, large space inside condo and even better - beach chairs and an umbrella to use out front on public beach! A few things to note, the guest bed is extremelt firm, wheras the primary bed is a bit worn in spots. Daily maid service was nice but didnt wash towels or touch the kitchen (kitchen is guests responsibility). The rooftop pool was perfect temperature and plenty of chairs to choose from - but would have been nice to see the view over the tall ledge without having to stand at edge and look over. Overall, very lovely condo and the host was very communicative. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet retreat in the best location!

What a view

My husband and I and our 22 year old son stayed for 12 nights. Perfect setup with two big bedrooms and bathrooms. Everything was as expected the location is 100 % walkable to everything I even went to the marina and back no problem. We used the Fitclub gym so close and convenient. The balcony with the ocean and mountain views was the highlight, you are on the Malecon so expect to hear the activity below whether it be music or the people and of course the waves. The rooftop pool always had lounge chairs available and the BBQ area looks great, we did not use it ourselves. We stocked up with some goods at Walmart (Uber there) and 5 minutes away is a small grocery store for the little things you need, including wine :) The Saturday market is held nearby too. The furniture is comfortable including the beds ! I’ve stayed in two other VRBO’s in Mexico so have a limited reference point but will say the kitchen lacked organization hence the 4 stars there. All the pictures are exactly as you find in the condo, very nice. If you want a place with a view near the heartbeat of PV this is the place for you.

Zona Spectacular

The property is absolutely perfect - location to shops / restaurants / beach is exactly what you would need & want. The unit itself has EVERYTHING you need - from all kitchen utensils to beach chairs / umbrellas. The balcony looks right out onto beach/ go to sleep to the waves splashing to shore. Amazing - would stay again without hesitation - 5 stars ++++

Casa McMullen Review

This property is approx. 20 min from the airport via cab (350 pesos). Condo was exactly as we had imagined it and as it was portrayed in pictures and described. Villas Vista Del Sol is overall a very nice property. We felt very safe and the staff were all very nice and helpful when needed. Location is everything with this property!! Close walk to so many great restaurants, shops, beach, banks, central malacon, everything you love about being in PV. Casa McMullen was very well furnished. We had mostly everything we could need in the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms to make our week long stay feel a little more like home. Lots of board/card games, books, even beach chairs, umbrellas, sun hats, I could go on and on. Condo was cleaned up and towels replaced on a daily basis. Rooftop pool has plenty of lounge seating and two covered areas. Very spacious and clean pool that was refreshing, and a brand new gas grill, so you could grill food. Everything about this property and location was 5 stars and we will undoubtedly recommend to family, friends and stay here again. The only mark of 4 that I’m leaving in this review is because the condo was very hot inside and the master bed had a big dip in it leading to some sore backs and necks. In the properties defense though, September is terribly hot in PV, so I’m sure the a/c would be perfect during in season months, and the guest bedroom was very firm, so it would give you the option between soft and firm beds to sleep on.

a 70's birthday celebration

This is a really fabulous place. I had a little problem with the electrical outlets, because my cpap machine cannot go on an adapter. It is beautifully decorated, comfortable, great location and Melinda was really responsive. It was a pleasure to stay here. Calla Crafts

Beautiful condo in an ideal location

We had a lovely time in Puerta Vallarta. The property is in the perfect location with lots of restaurants and the beach right on your doorstep. The property itself is as described, very spacious and clean with comfy beds- pretty much everything you could want. The pool on the roof is a huge bonus and we had lots of fun splashing about in it. I would definitely recommend this property :)

Oh boy where do I start. My mom and I came to have a relaxing week away. Upon arriving, we were awe struck with the view. Unfortunately 1 day in, we both came down with Covid and spent the next few days lounging listening to the healing waves. We were so grateful to be in a quiet part of town. In the heart of Zona Romantica

Staff was polite, gracious and always available. Security always present at front entrance. Property is very clean and well maintained compared to the equally priced properties in the area. Elevators worked and were nice after an afternoon of walking and shopping. The pool area is very clean, large and has gas bbq and Mini fridge at the cabana area. The condo was equip with everything you need for your stay. Beds were comfortable. Showers were amazing to use as the tile work is amazing. I sat on the balcony every morning and evening watching local fisherman and the pelicans fish right below on the beach. The breeze was nice when opening the patio and front door to the unit. AC works well for cooling off at night. House keeper was very nice, quick and polite. Beach chairs and umbrellas for three. Restaurants everywhere. Read the menus and verify if there cash only before you sit down. Some of them have a menu that is 90% American so if your in the mood for a more authentic Hispanic choice choose a place a few blocks back of the beach. For our first visit to Puerto Vallarta this was an amazing condo and location. No need for a car at all. We loved our time at Casa McMullen. Gracias.

Fantastic place

A fabulous find! The best place we have stayed at in Puerto Vallarta and have been going there for 40 years. Superb location-truly walkable. We have stayed lately at the hotel zone or Nuevo Vallarta and what a different experience this was. We did not cook as there are restaurants of all types all around you but the option to cook is great as there is everything you need in the kitchen. There are beach chairs, umbrella and coolers for trips down to the beach or we ate at the restaurant in front on the beach. Their Mexican shrimp cocktail was the nest. Basically everything you need is there. One of our favorite aspects of the condo is the balcony with its ocean breezes and watching the activity below. We had coffee every morning and happy hour/ sunsets every evening before dinner. We loved the Mexican tiled bathrooms and slept really well with the mini split cooling system. The rooftop pool was beautiful, super clean and a perfect temperature. We loved relaxing up there. Easy to get to condo from airport and the people at desk were great. Basically we enjoyed it all and will return soon. June was very warm so we will return November thru May.

Location Location Location

Casa McMullen was just perfect for our visit to Puerto Vallarta! The condo has everything! It’s clean, well decorated, and could not be in a better location to look at the ocean and people watch. Fantastic 10 days in PV

What can I say? This place in fantastic. Location, amenities, restaurants, shops, pool & the beach right outside the front door. All places have pros and cons to them, but I honestly cannot think of any cons. Maybe some firmer pillows for the bed?! Loved it and are hoping to be back with our 2 granddaughters.

Perfect location in the City. Everything is walkable. The kitchen seemed well equipped, but we didn't really need to use it because there were so many delicious places to eat close by. Pool upstairs has shaded areas from some reprieve from the sun.

Puerto Vallarta is my home away from home. My parents began visiting here 30 years ago, eventually becoming original owners at this beautiful beachfront property. I inherited the property in 2007 and have been meticulously renovating and updating it ever since. What fun we've been having visiting all the local markets and galleries, trying the new (fabulous) restaurants and meeting the wonderful people -- both expats and locals -- who live here. I'll be happy to share my knowledge with anyone who is curious to know more about PV. This is truly a very special place. Enjoy!

Why they chose this property

My parents were original owners. This was their home for many years, and is now mine. I wouldn't trade it for the world. The unit features all the modern conveniences of home -- except with maid service! There is no place more elegant or affordable in the world to travel right now. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

What makes this property unique

The property is right on the beach and my unit faces straight out onto the ocean. You get the most fantastic sunsets at night and fall asleep to the subtle crashing of the waves. We are constantly updating and modernizing the unit, but we have worked hard to maintain the clean, modern artisan Mexican style. Vista del Sol is widely recognized as one of the most well-managed buildings on the beach. We feature a rooftop pool, daily maid service (except Sundays) and an outstanding staff. My unit also features complementary WiFi service for those who choose to bring their computers.
