Wonderful lanai but little else to commend it.
This residence has a wonderful lanai but little else to commend it.
The stove only has 2 working burners. The other 2 couldn’t be turned on because the knobs didn’t work. The owner came, fiddled with them, and said they were fixed. She also stated that she was getting a new stove delivered. After she left the knobs became stuck again. No new stove was delivered.
Pots and pans were deplorable – Teflon was so badly damaged that someone had tried to remove the coating completely from one of the pans.
Dishwasher smelled like something had died in the motor area. The inside was very dirty. We bought Cascade dishwasher cleaner and ran 2 cycles prior to being able to use it. When not running we kept a bowl of baking soda in the dishwasher to help with the smell.
This residence is listed as non-smoking, yet the smell of cigarettes was overpowering!
The second bedroom contained 2 twin beds. That’s it. No nightstand, no dresser. The twin beds had mattresses that contained steel springs and very uncomfortable. Bought egg-crate bedding.
The master bedroom had no dresser. There was NO place to put personal belongings accept hanging in the closets.
We had a problem with the thermostat, the owner sent a YouTube video link and told us to fix it.
This proprietor owner offered us a bribe to give her a good review on VRBO. We obviously don’t want it!
