If you are visiting us between **Memorial Day and Labor Day**, you will have access to the nice community pool just a short drive up the road.

We furnish all linens with an extra set of king sheets and queen sheets. We also have extra blankets for those chilly mountain nights.

There is hand soap at every sink, a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, dish soap, dishwasher, and laundry detergent. ***We recommend bringing additional supplies for longer stays and larger groups.***

❗️This is a cabin with an AMAZING view, but in order to get a view, you have to drive up a mountain. The drive to the cabin is uphill on a windy road that is paved the entire way. Take it slow and enjoy the beautiful scenic drive. The views are worth the drive, we promise!! Please note there is ample parking for 3 vehicles.
4WD/AWD may be necessary for winter conditions. WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS FOR WEATHER, so please check the weather and plan accordingly. ** Travel insurance is recommended.

❗️We are located in a secluded, wooded area with lots of wildlife activity! DO NOT FEED BEARS OR RACCOONS! Keep doors closed and locked (including vehicles)! Make sure trash bins remained locked at all times! Do not leave food on porches or in your car.

Beautiful

This cabin is one of the best cabins we’ve ever stayed in.The owner communicated check in info in advanced with everything we needed. The drive up wasn’t as at all. We followed Apple Maps and we didn’t have any issues just do the speed limit and take your time. The view was amazing, I can’t put into words how beautiful it was. The cabin was very clean from top to bottom. The kitchen had everything you need if you wanted to cook. It was hard to get door dash up there so we brought precooked food and went out for food. My boys enjoyed the games and hot tub. We stayed on the main floor and the boys were in the basement. The bed was comfortable, we slept pretty good. There were ladybugs and other bugs flying everywhere but that’s expected in Tennessee. We stay in this area at least 3 times a year and I must say this cabin is now in our top 3.Thank you for such an experience.

Relaxing and Fun Family Retreat!

If you’re looking for relaxation, beautiful views and fun, this property will not disappoint! Clean, cozy and well appointed, our family enjoyed quality time together with meals overlooking the Smoky Mountains, watching fireworks from the hot tub, and game nights! This retreat is a true getaway. Allow extra time to travel up and down the mountain to enjoy all that the surrounding area has to offer. The property owners are top notch as well!

Spectacular!

We loved everything! The 10 minute trip up the mountain is so worth it and we close to Dollywood and the main blvd. Host is very organized and quick to respond to messages. I don't know how old the cabin is, but the feeling was that it was recently built or recently re-decorated/renovated. Met our needs and then some. We felt that we were in a safe and secure environment and fit our 2 SUVs comfortably. We were the last one on that road, which we liked. The checkout list of to dos was very simple and fast to get done. We had previously searched and searched for a cabin that would meet all of our needs with no luck. Until we found this cabin! So happy we found it and it was available. We booked in January 2024 and stayed end of May 2024. The weather was wonderful! 8 people, 4 of which were children. They loved the bunk beds, games, hot tub, and their own showers to share. Loved the details, like the timed light bulb strands on the balcony, the extra big towels for the hot tub, and the fleece blankets! AND THE VIEW! We timed the sunset each day to be sure that we didn't miss it and ate outside at the dining table often. The kitchen had all the appliances we needed, even a crock pot, a keirig, a drip coffee pot, and a tea kettle! I slept on the 3rd floor in a huge king with my 9 year old. The bed was so comfortable and even had its own little fridge. We stayed for 8 nights. Loved all the roku tvs and the spacious showers. I hated to leave!

Mountain Get-away

The cabin was beautiful and the vistas were wonderful. The drive up was a little confusing due to all the road signs being difficult to follow (you definitely need a navigator!) until we had done it a couple of times. I would highly recommend this home.

Incredible place to stay

What an amazing place! We rented this cabin for 5 nights and had an absolute blast. The view is beautiful, there is plenty of space, and there are activities for both adults and kids. The host is very responsive and was incredibly helpful with suggestions for things to do during our stay. I would recommend anyone visiting to give this place a chance. We have stayed at 3 other cabins in the area by far our favorite.

WOW!

This cabin is beautiful! The perfect location for our family trip to Dollywood and the surrounding area. Son, his wife and our 2 grandkids downstairs, second son and his wife upstairs, and my husband and I on the main floor - each with our own bathroom - was the perfect setup. We ate breakfast at the cabin then spent the day out, returning each evening to enjoy a home cooked meal prepared in the well stocked kitchen, topped off by a beautiful sunset which we enjoyed from the balcony. The view was stunning! This cabin is everything it says it is (very clean, too!) and the host is very easy to communicate with and offers great suggestions and advice. Wish we could have stayed longer! I highly recommend Red-Tailed Retreat!

Breathtaking views

Very impressed with not only the with views and cabin but the impeccable host! We arrived very late night and by no fault of host we couldn’t get the code to unlock the door! Within a matter of minutes our host fixed everything and we were in! If you are looking for views you will not be disappointed with Red tailed retreat. The drive up was not as bad as I thought it would be but it is a nice drive up! The cabin was clean, cozy, and very inviting. Thank you for sharing your family’s beautiful Smoky mountain cabin!

Amazing view!

This is a beautiful cabin that looks just like the pictures. It has everything you need to enjoy time at the cabin. The views are absolutely spectacular! The roads up the mountain are windy and narrow but we had no issues in our SUV or sports car.

Gorgeous cabin!

If you're looking to truly enjoy the Smokey Mountains, this is the perfect spot! Beware that the drive to and from the cabin up the hill is steep and we only tackled it once a day -- which is why we made the most of our days! We loved having a cabin to unwind in each evening and cook our meals and enjoy the sunset from the balcony. Plus, you can watch the Dollywood fireworks from the balcony so there is no need to stay at the park. We traveled with 4 sons 7 and under and they loved the cabin!

Very Nice Cabin

Cabin was very clean. This cabin has been well cared for. If you are looking for a nice clean cabin near Pigeon Forge, this is a great place to stay. Great views, and we were able to see the Dollywood fireworks from the back balcony.

Beautiful Cabin, Excellent Experience

Excellent experience. We have stayed in 7 or 8 VRBO properties in the past. This is the cleanest property we have ever stayed at. Beautiful views. Well maintained. Saw Dollywood fireworks from the porch. Nice hot tub. Definitely a drive up the mountain, but worth it for the views. Excellent location with regard to local attractions. We are a group of friends who vacation together, so we were 3 families staying together. Plenty of space and privacy. We loved the pool table and video games. We cooked quite often; the kitchen provided all that we needed. The hostess was the most organized and responsive of any of the properties we have stayed at. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful and super clean!

Cleanliness is usually an issue for us with a lot of VRBO’s, but this place was spotless. Very nice in all ways, beautiful view, comfortable space for all, great games, and great communication. 3 kids, 4 adults, perfect set up with 4 bedrooms and everyone having a dedicated bath. We will definitely stay again!

Family Vacation 2023

The house was as described. The view from the decks was worth the drive up those mountain roads. My daughter and I would sit out on the deck in the evenings watching the sunset. 3 families, consisting of 4 adults and 7 children ages 7-15 had plenty of room to stretch out or gather together. Owner was quick to answer any questions we had. Owner also offered suggestions on places to eat and things to do which comes in handy for 1st timers to the area.

The views are absolutely amazing! The first thing that caught our eye about this place was the mountain top views! You will absolutely love sitting the decks looking out over the mountains!
