We had a great stay until our car accident in Denver. After we were released from the hospital I made contact with the property owner and asked if we could stay l few more
We enjoyed our stay at this quaint house, but we did have a few issues. The banister is extremely lose and with small children, we felt it was unsafe. There were not enough sheets for the amount of beds/pullouts. Master bath had hair on the shower walls and the downstairs bath has sliding bath/shower doors that are not on the tracks and just swing back and forth. Definitely not safe. If you want ice, bring your own ice trays. The host was nice but hard to get ahold of and very slow to reply.
We ran out of time. Got to see red rock State Park, Garden of the Gods, red rock Canyon, Cliff dwellers, and if trout fishing, you have to try 11 mile Canyon. There was excellent fishing, the entire length and one section of catch and release where we caught serval lunker trout! The views were outstanding and got to see lots of wildlife, including deer and a bear in the driveway!
Clean, comfortable, and very convenient to so many places to explore, touristy and local ( loved The Blue Moose Tavern !) We had every thing we needed to cook at “home”, deck view awesome ( only 4 chairs there so take your own if more people staying) The roads getting up to it and the driveway are not for the faint of heart 😏 Thank you Nicole for a wonderful week visiting with Family and for the opportunity to explore Colorado!
This property worked out well for our group of 5 adults. Large bedrooms with lots of beds for a large group. The deck was good size also with beautiful views but the outside seating only accommodated 4 people. The kitchen was large as shown in the photos and was nicely stocked with just a few basic items missing but I will reach out to the property owner directly. The driveway was scary, I was glad I was t driving and wouldn’t want to try it in the winter.
Everyone was comfortable during the stay and there was absolutely no issues checking in or out. It’s in a nice area and has plenty of room, highly recommend!
Celebrated our 19 years of Marriage. We were looking to find somewhere relaxing with enough room for our teens and pet friendly, yet close to town and amenities. This was the place we decided on, due to the raving reviews. My top choice was the cleanliness, everything was clean and ready to stay. We felt completely comfortable and able to relax. We were close to the Pikes Peak Winery and bought a couple of bottles to enjoy for the evenings. Close to Woodland Park and Manitou Springs. We ventured to both in one day. I was nervous having white carpet in the place as it did rain one night. We did not wear our shoes in the house as we don't at our home either. There was a vacuum to use in-between tracking some dirt from outside. The kitchen is fully stocked and has some emergency roman and can chili, along with spices, utensils, and pot and pans, if needed. We bought some must haves from the local grocery store the first night. We enjoyed coffee on the patio each morning with the birds chirping and the fresh mountain air. Our kids loved the 2 levels as they stayed in the lower level most of the time. There is a smart TV you can blue tooth your YouTube and what not. Our son found the board games and Jenga game. It was a lovely and a cozy place. You can feel the love that has been put into this house. Please take care of it when you stay so others can continue to make cherished memories here!
