Wonderful authentic Tuscan experience
Our stay at this property was wonderful. The property is clean, filled with everything you need, beautifully furnished, and truly a fantastic house. The host is helpful and responds quickly to any issues. We hope to stay here again in the future.

Little slice of heaven!
This little slice of heaven was just perfect! It was very spacious and the kitchen had everything needed to cook a meal…and lots of fun dishes to serve it in! The location is very remote….you do have to drive up a very steep dirt road. We enjoyed the day in Greve and also drove to San Gimignano, which was about an hour away.

Toskana Urlaub
Nach einer abenteuerlichen Anreise, auf die man aber vorbereitet wird, sind wir in einer wunderschönen Ferienwohnung, wo jedes Detail liebevoll eingerichtet ist angekommen. Wir sind von sehr netten und hilfsbereiten Vermietern, die uns sehr geholfen haben, empfangen worden. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen und werden bestimmt wieder kommen.

A hidden gem
Wow! What an amazing place. Every bit as much as we needed. Quaint, clean, out of the way. It is in a very small village away from Greve. Babette was a wonderful host and made us a wine tasting reservation. The kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc. We cooked almost ever night I highly recommend this property, but know that it is in a remote area few minutes away from town Thank you Babette

The view is stunning and a perfect location to use as home base to explore wineries in this part of Tuscany. FYI You need to book appointment for wine tasting . WE. Found this out the hard way Its a little piece of paradise. It was not easy to find so make sure you arrive during day light hours .Its about 2.5 KM up a dirt road with no address. The key was not where we were told it would be so that caused us a little stress after a long day of travel. There is a coop store for groceries in town but beware they are closed on Sunday and there is no other place in Greve to get groceries. If you arrive late on a Sunday just come prepared. Thank goodness the owner of the restaurant LaCantina took very good care of us. He send us to the villa with food and wine This restaurant is a must when visiting this area. Staff and owner are amazing the food is so good. The bathroom does have a nasty sewer smell.I did mention this to the owner and she told us how to fix it. It never really did go away but was not as strong. The place was very clean. The bed was very comfortable but no top sheet. You are pretty much on you own when staying at this location. The owner does live in the complex but was a way during our stay. Her son was helpful in locating the key after calling the owner. Bring bug spray if you plan to use the beautiful terrace with a breathtaking view that comes with this unit. The open air windows have no screens so bugs can be a bit of a problem.

Beautiful setting
Scuderia was a very pleasant spacious apartment. The view from terrace patio was spectacular overlooking the Chianti hills from a high vantage point. The only thing we did not like was the 2 km rough dirt road that climbs to Ruffoli.

Beautiful and spacious
This apartment we wanted quietness and views. The apartment delivered with views of the rolling hills and panoramic terrace to have coffee to enjoy it. This apartment was hug for just the 2 of us and the location a bit remote- just remember to get food/supplies before you go. But, it is as we wanted with being in the country. We only booked for 2 nights and next time would do longer. Very clean and all supplies needed were available from towels to wi-fi to kitchen supplies. We would recommend this to everyone!

Lovely but Remote
We arrived in Greve with the help of Google Maps and when we were looking at a dirt road in front of us I thought the app had made a mistake. It didn’t. This property is located on top of a mountain which is serviced by a very narrow, rough 2.2 km dirt road for most of the way. Once at the property the view is incredible. You look out over the valley of miles of grapes and olive trees. We stayed for five days and found it adequate for our needs. I was a bit disappointed that the VRBO site showed a flowered patio with a couple chairs that had a beautiful view of the valley below which wasn’t available to us and was locked. We used the apartment as a jumping off point for visiting various places in Tuscany. Because of the drive, we’d leave in the morning, head to the piazza for breakfast and not return until night. There was little or no contact with people, including the owners, while at this property which was a bit disappointing for us since we are people persons. After all is said and done we enjoyed our stay.

Wir waren zwei Wochen in der Wohnung, die sehr stilvoll und praktisch eingerichtet ist und alles, was man braucht, in Fülle hat. Die Matratze ist sehr gut; das Bett ist mit mit einem Moskitonetz ausgestattet, was notwendig ist, weil es recht viele Mücken gibt. Babette ist eine sehr zugewandte und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin und hilft bei kleinen oder großen Nöten. Unser Hund war auch willkommen. Die Terrasse hat einen wunderbaren Panoramablick auf die Hügellandschaft bis nach Florenz. Von Ruffoli aus kann man viele Ziele der Toskana gut erreichen. Uns fehlte zum vollkommenen Glück nur gelegentlich ein Pool (wir wussten natürlich, dass keiner vorhanden ist) ; der wird wohl bald kommen. Dann ist alles perfekt. Wir kommen wieder.

Hard to find and no one to greet us.
We had a hard time finding the house and no one was present to show us where to go. We ended up in the wrong room and had to move late in the evening. We had no information about our unit or the surrounding area until 2 days later. No AC during the hottest time of year and the mosquitos prevented us from opening the windows.

Über die sympathische Gastgeberin und die stilsichere und wo notwendig moderne Ausstattung des Hauses ist bereits alles gesagt worden. Alles Sehenswertes zwischen Florenz und Siena ist in Tagesausflügen erreichbar; Rückkehr wie ins Paradies. Der Ausblick von der Terrasse ist berauschend, der winzige Ort eine Perle. Alle notwendigen Besorgungen in Greve (4 km) möglich.

Wonderful experience in Ruffoli, Greve in Chianti, Italy
Charming, comfortable, clean, wonderful hostess and family describes our experience in the Scuderia cottage. The view overlooking the Chianti valley is spectacular and we saw some beautiful sunsets. The cottage was tastefully and artistically decorated and fully stocked with dishes, cutlery, dinnerware, and linens. Altogether it was a fantastic stay!

What a magical stay!
We could not have asked for a more magical experience. The apartment is cute, well appointed, and perfectly located for a two week stay in Tuscany. The views are unrivaled and we found ourselves rushing back in the evenings to catch as many Tuscan sunsets as possible from the terrace. The property owners are gracious and welcoming and so kind! We will be back!

The pictures do not do this apartment and estate justice. It was impeccable and beautiful. It had everything needed for a comfortable stage. I used the Wi-Fi for work while I was here and it worked great. It is a short drive from town and many local winery’s. I highly recommend!

Wohnung sehr dunkel, Fenster nur auf andere Häuser. Im Sommer kein Problem, da wunderschöne Terrasse außen. Bei kälterer Temperatur nicht schön, da kein Blick in die Landschaft. Außerdem sehr teure Heizung, ca. 20 Euro pro Tag. Weiterer Nachteil: Kein W-Lan im Haus, nur nahe der Außentür schwacher Empfang.

Lovely rental with view outside Greve
We had a wonderful stay at this property. Babette was wonderful to coordinate with and her and her family were great hosts! We were welcomed with grapes and tomatoes grown on the property, a bottle of wine, and Babette even dropped off some cake for us on our second day! This location was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the Tuscan countryside and wineries. We visited the winery right next door and got a tour and private tasting - so convenient! The view from the terrace is spectacular, however it is not directly connected to the apartment. It is just across the driveway and is your private terrace to access for your stay. For those who might be seeking more privacy, the cottage windows do look across the drive directly at the family house so you will likely see people coming and going. It was not an issue for us and the family is very kind. We did experience some challenges with the hot water. It would persistently go out, but Babette warned us that it could happen and how to fix it when it did. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and I highly recommend the cottage! It is quaint and beautiful and the bed is heavenly.

Wunderbares Anwesen mit großartiger Aussicht und voll ausgestattet
Sympathische und äußerst hilfsbereite Gastgeberin. Super Alleinlage in den Weinbergen über Greve in Chianti. Weg dorthin führt über Schotterstraße. Einzigartiges antikes Gebäude mit dickem Mauerwerk. Dadurch kühl, aber auch ein bisschen dunkel. Allerdings mit vielen Lampen, zwei Fernsehern und jeder Menge mehrsprachiger Literatur ausgestattet. Küchengeräte, Geschirr mehr als vollständig. Eine Frühstücksterrasse, weitere mit Liegen und Bistrobestuhlung über den Hof. Tolle, liebevoll ausgesuchte, antik anmutende Möbel. Himmelbett mit Baldachin. Sehr schön für ruhigen Urlaub zwischen Florenz und Siena im Weingebiet Chianti. Danke für zwei erholsame Wochen.

Charm Galore
We had a wonderful time while staying in Greve. The accommodations were a perfect combination of old world charm meets modern conveniences. Babette was a friendly and knowledgeable host. She even left us some fresh produce from her garden, which we turned into in a nice pasta sauce and ratatouille. The location was centrally located and only a short drive to Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, and even Lucca and Pisa. We used Greve as our launch pad for day trips. It was nice to unpack once and still visit all the highlights of Tuscany. Greve is the "gateway to Chianti." It and the surrounding small towns (Panzano, Montefioralle, etc) are wonderful places to explore and visit while you're there. Being in Chianti country, you cannot go wrong with the wine. There are numerous wineries in the area, and most, if not all, have tasting rooms. There is even a winery right next door...seriously right next door! The wine and the wine makers are wonderfully charming. Recommend!

Beautiful location
Quiet setting with beautiful sunset vistas. Kitchen well equipped for cooking. Property owner very friendly and accommodating. Location good for day trips to many of the ancient hill top cities. Close to Florence and Siena. Great location to take in all that Tuscony offers.

The most beautiful view
This property and the owners exceeded our expectations. We stayed for 5 nights and could have moved right in. Spectacular views and your own private veranda to enjoy them. We cooked several times and the kitchen was well equipped with everything you needed. Very comfortable bed, lovely bathroom and good shower. Close to Greve and Panzano but not a far drive to many more sites! Babette’s daughter in law Gal was a wealth of information for the spots to see ! We couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more. Thank you!!! 💕
