Dishonest
When you show up to a property, you are generally within your rights to expect the listing amenities to match what you walk into upon arrival. This is especially true of the primary selling point of the property, in this case the Ocean View balcony. The balcony is where we were encouraged to spend time watching for dolphins and relaxing. The balcony was the reason we chose this property over others available without one.
However, when we showed up to this property, both sliding glass doors (one off the master and one off the living room) were deft taped shut around the exhaust hoses of the noisy mobile AC units in each room sitting in plastic tubs to catch the drippings. I immediately called property management who informed me that I could certainly use the balcony but would lose the AC in the apartment. Alternatively, if I wanted to maintain a livable temperature inside, I would not be able to access the balcony. They said they would create a complaint ticket for me and have someone reach out right away to discuss further. I have still not heard a peep from them since.
To make matters worse, the owners left a framed note with their email asking for direct feedback since the property mgmt may not always tell them everything. So I emailed the owners informing them of the situation, believing this must be crappy property mgmt which they knew nothing about. Wrong again! Apparently, not only do they know, they have had this issue for 3 months!
3 months to be honest-chose not to.
