We purchased the house in February 2021. It was truly a dream come true!!
UPDATES IN 2022 --All new flooring, kitchen cabinets, granite countertops new stainless-steel appliances, updated bathrooms, hurricane windows, hurricane windows!

Relaxing stay

This was such a relaxing stay. With the house right on the beach I didn’t have to worry if I forgot something. It was a quick walk back. The house was just as described and very clean. I didn’t worry about a thing. Will be back!

Best experience in Fort Morgan

This is by far the best home we stayed at in the last 5 years of vacationing in Fort Morgan. The house is superb from the cleanliness of the home, the accommodations available for couples and families, location, etc. The list goes on and on. The host takes great pride in providing a great experience for their guests and has an attention for detail (something I truly value). Communication was top notch and felt if there was any issue (not that there was anything significant) we could easily reach out if we needed anything. I can't say enough about this place and how wonderful our experience was. We will definitely be back with our family of 5!

Absolutely perfect!

In the 40 years I've been visiting the gulf coast, this house is one of my all time favorites. Gail is a fantastic host and made sure we were taken care of the entire week. The house itself has a very comfortable layout, the deck is truly amazing (you will love walking out in the morning to an expansive view of the gulf), and it really felt like a home away from home... but literally on the beach. We didn't want to leave and hope to be back ASAP! Thanks Gail for an unforgettable week!

Perfect beach house!

We loved our stay at Surf’s Up! So close to the beach! Loved sitting on the deck watching sunrises and sunsets! Beautiful, fully furnished kitchen. All rooms were updated and very comfortable. Gail and Jack are gracious hosts! Excellent dinner at Jesse’s on the Bay (pricey but worth it). Very close to the Ferry. We enjoyed a ferry ride to Dauphin Island. Highly recommend this beach house.

Wonderful beachfront for a small family or group

Pros: Beach access is 10 steps away The beach is not crowded, sand is great The house is very comfortable and spacious. It's got everything you would need in kitchen, drip coffee pot (hidden in a cabinet) & a keurig, plenty of towels, washer/dryer, etc. Cons: Not much nearby - 10min+ drive to anything relevant No trash bags? Flies at the beach made it difficult to enjoy (October visit)

Favorite Place to Stay

We’ve been coming to Ft Morgan for years. This was our favorite house by far! Everything was perfect from the quality of cookware to the quality of the mattress. We will definitely be staying here each time we come down.

Simply Amazing

Everything about this property was great! The online listing is 100% spot on. Mrs. Gail has done an excellent job at stocking this house with everything you could possibly need. With 3 small kids it was amazing to be so close to the beach! We had a great trip.

Just Perfect

House was perfect for us (me, my husband, our 15-year old daughter and her two best friends.) Communication with the owner was seamless and helpful, and home was just lovely. (Cannot beat the incredible view!) We got home last night and are already planning our next trip!

So close to the beach!

The house was clean and well stocked with everything you would need. The views from the back deck were amazing and the house is only steps away from the beach which made for a perfect beach vacation for our family!

Amazing getaway

The property was very clean upon arrival. The rooms are spacious. The appliances were in perfect working condition, and we didn't need to bring much. Beach chairs and toys were provided. There is an amazing hangout area under the house, comlete with lights, a swing, and 4 chairs, along with a picnic table. I believe that my favorite feature is the deck. It has a table for dining, and a bar height railing with swivel chairs situated perfectly in view of the water and beach. My family of 6 fit comfortably, and enjoyed every minute of our stay here!

Location, house and view could not have been better. House and view amazing .Would have liked more info on VBRO listing about how far it was from groceries and restaurants to be able to know you needed to plan trips back to town.

Beach access is amazing!

We loved our stay at surfs up and hope to stay again in the future! It was perfect for our family of four! We loved the beach access, having a washer and dryer, all the beach accessories and our kids loved the bunk beds! We enjoyed having a fully stocked kitchen and appreciated the amazing wall of windows overlooking the ocean! Host was very responsive and helpful! Check in was very easy!

Best stay ever!

We have been coming to Fort Morgan area for over 15 years. First time to rent a house. If you are looking for direct, beachfront access with unobstructed views, this home is it! Beautiful accommodations with all the amenities you could possibly need! Owners are so accessible and easily reached for anything. This will be our go-to spot from now on, and can’t wait to return!

Great Vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Surf's Up! The house is very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is stocked with quality silverware, dishes, pots and pans and appliances (the best we've ever had in a vacation rental.) Communication with the owner throughout the process was always timely. Thank you, again, for your hospitality and sharing your beach home with us!! We will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Views, Comfy Cottage

We absolutely loved the location! Having our own private beach access was priceless. The location is closer to Fort Morgan (the historical site) than many in the Gulf Shores area, which made it way less crowded than closer into Gulf Shores. It was nice to stay at a place that was not overcrowded, and you still felt like the beach was all yours. The amenities at the place were great. The owners are committed to maintaining a well laid out, well thought out property!

Private paradise!

Great location that affords a little more privacy being closer to the West side of Fort Morgan. The house was beautiful and we had good communication with the owner. We tried to take the ferry from Dauphin Island but issues caused backups and forced us to drive around the bay. Certainly not the owner’s fault; but a caution for future renters We’ll likely take the more certain but longer route in the future.

Could've been Perfect

This property would've been perfect, the view was wonderful, house was perfect for our family of 4, loved walking out to the beach just steps away but what ruined our trip was the cockroaches. Ugh! We found one giant one and bought bait traps and set them up all over the kitchen, we sucked that big one up in the vacuum the next day and left it in there and we told the owner. Our bait traps started to work and we found some dead ones. The owner told us they were common around the beach and that they had a monthly service, she did offer to have them come spray in and out of the house but it was our last full day and we didn't want our kids breathing in the chemicals. This just put such a damper on the trip as I was having a lot of anxiety about bringing them home with us and I was washing everything and putting it right in the suitcase. We weren't looking for a refund or anything but we were really surprised about how seemingly dismissive she was about it, especially when we drove the 25 minutes to Walmart to get bait traps and they were working!! My husband said there definitively was the circle of life going on there because we found a dead baby one from our traps and we caught that giant one on the kitchen counter. If there were no roaches, this would definitely be 5 stars!!!

Amazing home!

We come to the beach every year and Fort Morgan often and this was the best beach house we have stayed in. The host were amazing with their communication on everything. They also had everything you could need there plus some. It was so nice having the beach toys, chairs, and an umbrella provided. The boardwalk and shower off area on the deck were great! They had sand absorbing rugs and a foot dipper by the doors. That was the least sand we have ever had in the house while being beachfront. The grilling station was awesome and so was the deck (having the gate at the top of the deck was so nice for our 1 year old running around too). I would highly recommend to anyone!

Absolutely Perfect!

We found the perfect home with everything we need to have the perfect vacation. Everything was perfect- Proximity to other homes, ramp (not stairs) to the beach, beautiful deck, perfect kitchen, comfortable beds, etc etc etc. Check in/out process was super easy as well. We are already planning our next trip!
