This was our second stay at this home, and it was just as enjoyable as our first. Communication with the owner was easy and we were able to access the home without issue. The house is close to everything in town, and we spent a couple mornings walking to nearby coffee shops and took some time to play at the city park. We will stay again.
I love what they are doing with the property. It's obviously still under renovation, but perfectly liveable as is. Convenient, safe & private. Lovely grounds for our family trip
Our stay was amazing. The view of the mountain and garden were beautiful! You’re near everything but you feel as though you’re in the country. House was very nice. Very comfortable bed Fluffy towns.
The area is a great stop between a couple national parks, with a great preview of Mount Rainer. Yelm has plenty of options for food and drink, along with a short distance to grocery stores to pack for picnics along some hikes. Super convenient area and definitely recommend!

Kitchen, bathrooms, and floors all were in need of serious repairs and cleaning. Main living and beds were good. Sleeping was difficult for 4 adult and 2 kids.
The stay was good. Loved seeing Mt. Ranier from the back window both days.
The finished rooms in the upper level were very nice. Great beds. Of course there are areas not remodeled that I'm sure are still on the list of to do's.
The house was in a great location with neighbors not too close, easily accessed. Cell coverage was spotty so it helped to have Wi-Fi. Very comfy bed & nice linens. Covered parking was nice when it rained.
What an amazing property! From the first turn into the driveway Mountain View is beautiful and welcoming. The house was clean and comfortable. The bed linens were out of the would! After busy days with the family there was nothing better than sinking into such a delectable bed. The property itself is so well manicured. The water features were awesome, the tress, gazebo, rocks it was just all wonderful. Thank you for having such a perfect retreat to visit and spend time with family.
We loved Carla’s house. The home was very clean, cozy, and adorable. The beds were so comfortable. Out the kitchen window every morning we saw a breathtaking view of Mount Rainier while sipping on our coffees. The backyard is also beautiful with the rock water fountains and exquisite landscaping details. So grateful we chose Carla’s house to stay in. The house is also in a great and safe location:)
My family and I needed a place to stay over the weekend for a wedding. Carla’s place was perfect. Nice lay out, plenty of space inside and out, clean, and comfortable. It had everything we needed.
Communicating with Carla was great. It was clear they she cared that we enjoyed our stay. Next time I’m in Yelm, I hope it’s available!
Thank you Carla!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It is in the process of being developed into a wedding venue. There is a stunning view of Mt Rainier out the rear windows and deck. (I wish I could include some photos.) The bedrooms, living/dining areas, kitchen and basement family/game room were all very nice. The kitchen was well furnished - including a combo drip/kcup coffee maker, and a good variety of dry seasonings, etc., which simplified grocery shopping. The bathrooms, particularly one shower, were in need of some upgrading. We would definitely stay here again.
I rented this home for my father in law to stay at while he was in town. We were blown away with the beautiful interior decorating and the amazing views of the mountain. The size of the home was accommodating for family to visit. The kids hung out downstairs while the adults sat in the spacious living room upstairs. My father in law said the bed in the master was extremely comfortable and he enjoyed the quiet nights. I would say that this house has it all. The location is very convenient to stores, restaurants and entertainment as well. We highly recommend staying at this house.
We were in town for a wedding and needed a place to stay and it was absolutely perfect. The view was awesome (glad we got to enjoy it on tue first day since the smoke rolled in after that), the house was spacious and provided everything we hoped for and finally Carla and Scott was charming! Thank you for your quick response with the light bulbs! :) We hope we get another chance to enjoy this place in the future.
House is comfortable and beautiful! Beds comfortable, roomy kitchen and beautiful views. Everything went almost well. Luckily, I contacted Carla to inquire if I could leave some of our things outside a couple of hours early because we needed the vehicle space and wouldn't be back till later. For some reason she did not remember we were coming, so be sure and double-check before you arrive. Part of the house and property seemed to be in the middle of a renovation, and I am sure it will be more amazing when done! The hand soap in the bathroom was empty, and Carla's husband graciously came to install a thermostat so we could have central heat instead of portable heaters. I'm sure these things won't happen to others, though. I think our visit was just a surprise. All things considering, we would definitely come back and stay if we were ever in the area.
By the way, we LOVED the Masonry Cafe at the Old Firehouse in Yelm. Great ambience, service, food, homemade desserts/pastries, and coffee!
This house was perfect for what we needed. My (now) husband and I used this as our pre-wedding house. It was the exact size that we needed. Our trip was originally only supposed to be 4 days, but Carla was amazing when we asked to extend....twice. The view from the back porch was pure magic. During the week of rain, Mount Rainier came out to say hi. 1000000% would recommend and stay again.
Our stay was amazing! The house is so cute and the property is just beautiful! Carla had little treats for us when we arrived and the house was so cozy. The view of Mt. Rainier was gorgeous and I will definitely miss it! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!
We loved the close proximity to Mt. Rainier as hiking there was the reason we were in the area. It also was not too far from Olympic National Park where we also spent time. The house was perfect for four of us and it was so nice to spend time on the back deck in the evenings with the view of Mt. Rainier. Would definitely seek this spot out again if we return to the area.
Everything worked (but the dryer requires a "How TO' sheet and the Hosts are Great
It was a heat wave and the hosts had turned on all the fans prior to our arrival so it was lovely to walk into a cool house. The appliances are first rate but the dryer was smarter than I am and I believe it needs a "how to use it" sheet taped to it.
I would suggest a hot water kettle as many europeans are tea drinkers and the coffee maker leaves a taste. We ended up using a pot to heat our tea water.
It is a long way from Paradise but it was the closest we could find. We would stay again.
